*** OFFICIAL January 2013 Thread ***

Why are they useless...either way they shouldnt be too much of a surprise...they seem to be very similar in some cases the same as january 2012

Outside of seeing that they are planning on having Fantasmic every night, there isn't muc I can use from that calendar because it doesn't like who has extra magic hours. Extra Magic Hours are pretty key in deciding what park I go to when, and what park I avoid when. And the park I go to often determines when I might eat at what restaurant. If there is a night where Epcot has PM EMH, this might be the night we head to Epcot at 8pm, watch Illuminations them spend till midnight in Future World, etc.

Woo hoo!!:cheer2:Our 7 month window rolled around so we could switch from our home resort to where we really wanted to stay. Now we're booked for a grandvilla at BLT for the 18-22. I have to call back on the 22nd for the second part of our stay, hoping for BWV for those dates.

Crossing my fingers that January park hours are released today too. :rolleyes1

yay!!! I'm glad you got in BLT!!!

Thanks for posting! I've been off-Dis for a bit.

UG predicted the hours based on past years and there really is not that much different. Right now, a few of the parks close about one hour sooner than they did last year. But I suspect these hours will change, too, between now and then.

Also, as for EMH, I would plan on what they have done in the past ... knowing that the could change it, but ...

I'm just glad to see both MSEP and F! showing while we are there. We missed both in 2012.

Also, wanted to update my resort -- I just booked BLT for 2 nights, Lake View Jan 20-22nd!!

YAY!!!!:cheer2::cool1:

readytogotodisney -- I"ll see you at BLT!:thumbsup2

I just put the deposit down for POFQ (my favorite!) January 4th through the 10th. It will not only be my first January trip to WDW, but also my first solo trip!

We switched too and will be at the same places, we're at BLT from the 17th to the 20th, then at BWV from the 20th to the 26th.

We're going to have to have a meet up at the TotW lounge! There seems to be a few of use that will be at BLT that weekend! I still have to wait until tomorrow to book BWV. Twenty-four hours and I'll know for sure, but I think it looks good from looking at the online booking system. Love that thing!

I'd say your chances are pretty good. The marathon dates are blacked out, but they have pushed it back this year so it's not until the weekend after you arrive. All that counts is that arrival day when it comes to free dining!

Disney in January is great!!! We've been going in January for the past 15 years or so and we love it!

Does anyone know if BOG restaurant is available to book for January??

Nothing for BOG yet. They haven't officially said the opening date yet, just the Holidays 2012 bit. However they will usually do a soft opening for the restaurants up to a month in advance, with no ADR's available, all walkups. It's a good way to work out the kinks, then they will start to offer ADR's after that.

The reservation system is down...anyone think maybe they are loading it to run 2013 packages???:rolleyes1

Just subscribed. We will there January 21 st to the 27th. First real Disney trip. Staying at BLT. 5 and 3.5 year old! Now I need to catch up and read this thread for info!

When we went to disney January 2009, we had free dining during the first week of the month. So there is a good chance it will show itself again.

There is a thread on BOG reservations, we are all anxiously awaiting the news.

Any word on EMH for January?
