Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

Can we also ask about off property routes here? I was helped greatly on a prior question, so if I am out of place just lmk and I will post on the main board.

I will be driving from Sea World to Universal the first week of August. I will have to take International drive to Universal Blvd, but looking at a map it would appear that there are two areas to do so, one closer to Sea World, and the other north just before Universal Resort.

So, the question is, where is traffic the worst at 8am: International drive heading north or Universal Blvd heading north?

Thanks for any insight if available :D

OKW to Cape May Cafe for 7:55 breakfast? Thanks.

Two options....
1. Cab. Get one at about 7:30. That will give you plenty of time to get to the Hospitality House to get the cab nd over to Cape May.
2. Bus to DHS, at about 7. Then either boat or walk to BC. The walk is easy, about 20 mins (I do it a lot!), off the bus, walk toward the canal, park entrance on your left, parking lot on your right. Go to the right of the canal, keep walking and you will shortly see signage directing you to Boardwalk. Walk to the end, go left to the bridge, a right on the bridge, and down to YC/BC.
If the boat is running, and either at the dock or coming into the dock, you can take that. It will go to the S/D first, then to YC/BC. Takes about 20 mins once on the boat.
If going with the bus, I would suggest 6:45; I think 55 minutes is cutting it too close. Also, if your nearest stop at OKW is Peninsular Rd., take the 3-minute walk to Hospitality House and you might catch an earlier bus.

The boats will not be running, unless possibly if it's a DHS a.m. EMH. Tell the bus driver on the way to DHS where you are going, and they will contact the dispatcher to get you to the Beach Club by bus.

looking to travel from POFQ to Hollywood Studios. google maps takes me to the south entrance.

when i look on the map, I see a north entrance coming in from Buena vista drive, turning onto N studio drive.

can I enter in the N studio drive entrance?

I'll be driving my own car.

Looking for information on how to get there, and the average time to do this.

Leaving ASMo for dinner at Hoop Dee Doo Revue @ 4pm. (how to get there and how long/when to leave)

Assuming dinner at HDDR would take about 2hrs????

Heading to Campfire and Sing-Along after dinner at HDDR (how to get there and how long) Am I correct that during the February timeframe the sing-along is usually at 7pm?

Finally, how to get back to ASMo after the campfire?

THANK YOU!!

If I've offended anyone sorry was just try to find an answer about my transportation question about CBR. Could anyone at least point me in the right direction for the forum I should post to? Thanks so much.

Hi not new to Disney but new to CBR. How long does it take the buses to go to Mk, Epcot, Ak, and DHS? Would it be better to stay at another moderate? Rent a car? Heard CBR is huge. Sorry if this has been asked, and thx.
Sorry, we must have missed your question!!! Yes, CBR is a large resort, but the other moderates are as well....with the exception of PO-FQ. There are multiple bus stops within the resort, so if you board at the first stop, you could wait 15+ mins before leaving CBR property for a park. These times would be from leaving the resort property, and are not going to be exact..but more of an estimate. So, going to MK would probably be 15+ mins, to Epcot or DHS about 10 mins, AK 20 mins. CBR is located close to both Epcot and DHS, so rides there are fairly quick. Staying at a different resort will give you possibly quicker times to one park but longer to another. So, it's really not a huge deal.

Yes, that entrance is normally open to Guests. However, there are only 2 entry lanes, and most cars are making a left turn into the entrance, so there can sometimes be delays of up to 10-15 minutes on busiest mornings.

Bus from ASMo to MK, then boat to FtW. I'm not sure exactly about the time, but 90 minutes should be adequate (that's until the time you want to arrive, not the start of the show.)

Afterwards, you can take an internal shuttle bus to near the Campfire Circle, or walk. Average walk time is probably around 10 minutes. The bus ride is less than 5, but you may have to wait up to 12 minutes for the bus to arrive, and then there's a few minutes to walk to & from the bus stops. Ask the driver if he goes near the Campfire and where to get off.

After campfire, you'll need to get to an open theme park to get a bus back to the All-Stars. ("Open" includes EMH.) If MK is still open, walk or take the bus back to the Settlement (HDDR), boat to MK, then bus to resort. If another park is open, take internal shuttle to the Outpost (opposite end of campground), then bus to that park. If no parks are open, take bus to Outpost, then bus to DTD, then bus to resort.

Internal shuttles have a destination of "Settlement" (northbound) or "Outpost" (southbound), stopping on opposite sides of the street. Settlement is the location of HHDR, Mickey's BBQ, Trails End, and the marina, and is the departure point for transportation to MK & WL. Outpost is the location of the parking lot, Guest check-in, and bus depot, with buses to DTD & all them parks other than MK.

Sorry, can't help with timings of HDDR and Campfire.

Wouldn't spartankid34 be able to ride a post-Hoop De Doo resort bus if he's returning to ASMo in the evening?

They should, but I'm not going to say 'count on it'!!! Things change at WDW all the time. The problem with these resort buses is that they aren't particularly quick...you could have 4 resorts on your route. If MK is still open, you can always take the boat there and then the bus back to your resort from there.

Do they have a resort bus after the 8:30pm show? That show is an option as well, just trying to figure things out as best as I can :-) Thank you!
I don't know this firsthand, but I think people have said the HDDR bus usually runs when the show finishes after MK has closed.

If you're not going to the campfire, then either the bus or the boat to MK should be available. If you are going to the campfire, it depends on how well the end of the campfire show syncs up with the end of HDDR.

What is the most time efficient way to get to Trails End? I've heard it takes 1 to 2 hours to get there. We have the option of taking the boat from MK, parking at Wilderness Lodge, or just about any other choice really. Its our first time going and I've not been able to find any info on the times it takes for the different routes other than the boat at MK only comes once every 30 minutes.
