Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

I was thinking about the possibility of going from Epcot one night after Illuminations to Hollywood because they will be having EMHs until 12AM. If I want to watch Illuminations before heading out (hopefully in time to catch Fantasmic at 10:30), would it be quicker to stay toward the front of the park & take the bus to HS or stay around the UK & take the boat there?

TIA! :)
I needed to do that one Dec. I watched IllumiNations from the bridge to France. Then flew out thru the IG. I walked, quite quickly, to DHS. Actually stopped in my room at BWV to grab a sweatshirt. Still made it to DHS in about 18 mins...from IG. If you have to walk to the front of the park you'll have lots of company? You could get lucky and get right on a bus, but you may have to wait.

what is the easiest way to get to the boardwalk (ESPN Club) from AoA, that i don't have pay for? thanks in advance

Easiest? Take a taxi.

Easiest using Disney transportation? Take the bus to DHS and then walk or take the boat to the boardwalk.

Does anyone have pictures or a map of the resort bus stops at the parks?

What I'm really looking for is the locatiobn of each of the hotels bus stop queueing areas at each of the parks. I just want to know if I'll have a long walk to my bus stop after a day at the parks!

Bus to DHS, then boat or walk. I prefer the walk.

The issue will be that each resort will have a different placement at each park. Your particular resort bus stop may be one of the closer ones at DHS, but a remote one at EPCOT.
And, the bus stops can change. I don't know of any such maps.

I realize similar questions have probably been asked before, so I apologize if I just missed them. I'm taking a trip in December, and on our last day we'd like to leave HS after the morning and go to Beaches and Cream for lunch. Our flight isn't until that night, so I know we'll have plenty of time. I've never taken the boat or walked to the Beach Club / surrounding resorts from HS, only Epcot. I was wondering which might be the quickest way to our lunch? Walk, boat, or even the Disney buses? Thank you!

Walk or boat. Beach Club will be the second stop for the boat, and the farthest walk. If it were me, I'd take the boat if it was readily available, but walk if there was no boat in sight.

Thank you, I figured that might be the quickest, but I always feel better having another opinion. Thank you!

Hi all - I have a few questions. We're staying at CS for the first time so I want to make sure I'm not missing any getting around things. I'm used to staying at POP or AKL so this is new.

Getting from CS to Ohana for 9:05 Breakfast - Bus to MK then hop on Monorail to Poly?
Poly to AK - resort bus from Poly to AK
CS to Typhoon Lagoon - ??? I know CS has buses to BB but we want to go to TL this time
CS to Boardwalk - I'm stuck on this one, All I can think of is Bus to Epcot & then bus to Boardwalk? (same for return to CS)

Thanks in advance :)

CS to 'Ohana...yes, bus to MK, boat or monorail to the Polynesian
Polynesian to AK...bus
CS to TL....bus
CS to BW...bus to DHS, then walk or boat to BW....there are no buses between BW and either DHS or Epcot (unless there is weather that prevents the boats from running).

A map of the bus stops is something that can change for each park. They might not change frequently, but they do change without much notice. Resort stop placement is different now than from when I was driving there. As mentioned before, a short walk at DAK for the Contemporary bus becomes a long walk at Studios for the Contemporary bus.

We are staying at BCV and need to get to Fort Wilderness for a Trail Ride at 10:30am. I'm assuming we will walk through EPCOT to the front gates and take a bus? Will the buses be running from EPCOT to FW at 9:30am?

You can do that, but you'll need to have valid admission to Epcot.

Or, head to DHS and take the bus from there...no admission is needed. Or, just hop on the MK bus at BC and go there and then take the boat to FtW. You would then have to take an internal bus to the stables tho. You could take the bus to FtW from MK...that should drop you very close to the stables.

Oooo! Lots of other good ideas I had not thought of - Thanks!

We do have Park Hoppers - so the admission through EPCOT is not an issue. My only concern was if the buses would be running BACK to resorts (i.e. Fort Wilderness) that early in the morning?

It can take a bit longer. Allow plenty of time.

I would probably take the bus To MK and take the boat from there to FW.

When I saw the HDDR at FW for the 1st showing, I wanted to go back to the WS in Epcot so I took the boat back to MK & then the bus to BC & walked to the IG. I don't know where the stables are & it sounds like you'd have to take a FW bus there once you docked; not sure how long of a walk it would be from the boat dock. But it was an easy way to get from FW to BC for us. :)

The problem is that the stables for the trail rides are at the front of the resort (Outpost stop I believe), while HDDR is in the back, by the boat dock. FtW is the only place on Disney property that I get all discombobulatedd in!!!

Oh, ok. Well then maybe taking a bus there would be the best option, unless they wanted a bit of time to roam around the property before or after the stables.. :)
