Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

To the best of my knowledge, there won't be a bus from CR to Epcot...the monorail is your only option. That starts at 7am. You will be very tight getting to an 8am ADR at Epcot using the monorail. I'm going to assume it's at Akershus. If this is the case, I would get a cab to BC and then walk over to Akershus from there. It would be a shorter walk than from the front of the park.

Thanks. I did not realize there would be no bus for early ADR's since the monorail isn't running yet. Well then it is a taxi for sure. Do you know if there are normally taxis outside of the resorts or do we need to set this up in advance? As well as requesting a booster seat?

When we've needed early morning taxis, we've always arranged them (thru bell services, I'm pretty sure) the night before. They've always been right on time. In fact, we've been transported by the resort van several times (and tipped very well).
I'm sorry, I can't answer the question re: the car seat. We've never seen one in either a taxi or van - but that doesn't mean they're not available.

I believe most drivers keep one in the trunk or the back of the van. Of course, there's no guarantee the one they have will fit your child and meet your cleanliness standards.

Thank you. I am sure it won't meet my cleanliness standard but I will have to deal with that. :goodvibes

Thanks so much for this thread! Very helpful.
We are planning our MK day and hope to include an afternoon break back at AKL before returning for our ADR at 'Ohana and then back to MK for MSEP & Wishes. My husband would like to check out the Contemporary. Should we:
1. monorail from MK to Contemporary and then head back to AKL (and if so, what's the best way?)
2. bus from MK to AKL, then hit the Contemporary on the way to dinner (and if so, what's the best way?)

We will consider taxis if they save a ton of time but of course would rather not spend the money :)

[we already have lunch plans so a meal at the Contemporary won't work]

Thank you!

Number 2. You are going to have to go to the MK in order to get to the Polynesian. So....head out from AKL earlier and take the bus to the MK, then monorail (or walk...under 10 mins) over to the CR and check it out. Then hop back on the monorail and head to the Polynesian.

Thanks! That makes sense. I just hope we can motivate to depart AKL in time - we have a 5:40pm reservation(!). Not much of an afternoon break... but this is the one thing hubby is asking for LOL....

So... someone on "my" AKL thread suggested taking a bus from AKL to AK, then hopping the direct bus to the Contemporary. Do you think this would be faster than AK bus to MK then walking or monorail to Contemporary?

Transferring at MK and walking to the contemporary will be faster.

I'll be in Orlando for a conference and get one half-day to play at Epcot. My hotel is across the street from Downtown Disney, so how do I get from DTD to the Epcot International Gateway? I'd rather enter Epcot from that entrance than the front one in order to maximize the time spent inside the park.

You can get a bus from the DTD east side bus stop to Disney's Beach Club resort and walk over to the IGW that IMHO is the most direct way?
Have Fun!

Take the bus to the Beach Club and walk from there. Be aware, though, that buses don't run from DTD to resorts until about 10:00 am.

Would the bus be the best option to go from AKL to DTD? How long would that bus ride be?

Well, other than a taxi or car, it's the only option. ;) (If you have a car, I wouldn't take it to DTD because the parking situation is pretty bad due to the construction.) The bus ride should take about 15 minutes.

On MK 24 hour day I need to get from Pop to a 5pm ADR at the Contemporary. Should I take the bus to MK and walk? Is the walkway clearly marked and where is it located from the bus area? Or, would it be better to take whatever other park bus comes first and then get the resort bus from that park? I usually drive but this time I'm planning to go to MK after dinner and staying until 6am close and really don't want to drive after that.
