Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

Perfect!! Thank you! :worship:

While the buses do start running by 6:30, every morning, you need to keep in mind that they don't run quite as often as the regular buses do. So, plan accordingly. If you just miss a bus, it could be 25+ mins before the next one comes along.

Wow..good to know! Thank you!! :thumbsup2

Early breakfast at Kona, 7:30 or so with MK opening at 9. I know the buses start running around 6:30...when does the resort monorail start? TIA

My upcoming trip has two firsts. It will be my first time at the FW campsites and it will be the first time that we'll have a car with us.

I plan on driving to Ep, HS, AK and DTD as well as our ADRs to Boma and Cape May Cafe.

I had planned on taking the boat to MK, which includes either walking or taking a bus from our loop to the boat launch. I just found out that the boats to MK start 30min prior to park opening, while the Bay Lake resort boat (looping FWL, FW and the Contemporary) starts operating at 6:45. I'm a 30-45min before rope drop kind of person and this throws a monkey wrench in my plans.

It looks like I have two main choices to be at the turnstiles by my desired 30-45min before rope drop. Choice one is to take the bus or walk to the boat launch, take the resort boat to the Contemporary and then either walk or take the monorail to MK. Choice two is to hop in my car (conveniently located 15 feet from my camper :goodvibes), park at the TTC and then take the express monorail to MK.

I'm now leaning towards driving to save time. It looks like there is no way to make it without having to take two forms of transportation and arrive as early as I want to :confused3

Is there now a bus from MK direct to either AK or HS? Or do you still have to go to TTC or a resort to get between these parks? Trying to plan a 4 park day. I know there is a bus between AK & HS and the boat from HS to EP. Thanks

No, there has been speculation that park-to-park buses might go directly to MK after the bus load zone expansion is complete, but the expansion has a long way to go to completion, and MK park-to-park buses still go to the TTC.

In addition to the boat, there is also a bus from DHS to Epcot. The bus is usually faster, but the boat may involve less walking if you're trying to get somewhere in World Showcase.

Thanks! I thought I read a rumor about MK to other park buses, but I guess it's still in the future.

Hi folks. We are staying at BLT for the first time and I would like to know how to get to the parks and to other resorts from there.

1. BLT to VWL - is there a boat?
2. BLT to Poly - monorail?
3. BLT to AKV - walk to MK then bus?
4. BLT to Beach Club - bus to DHS and then boat to BCV?
5. BLT to Epcot - monorail?
6. BLT to DHS - bus?

I also need to know how to get to the following resorts from DHS: Poly and VWL.

Sorry if these have been asked. If so, can you point me to where I can look it up? I did a search and got no hits that makes sense except for this sticky.

TIA!

1. The boat goes from the CR.
2. Again, from the CR.
3. That would be the easiest using Disney transportation.
4. Either that or you can walk from DHS to BCV.
5. Well, two monorails actually. From CR to TTC, then from TTC to Epcot.
6. Yes

From DHS you would take a bus to get to either the Poly or VWL.

Thanks! Is the bus from CR too? Or is it quicker to go down main lobby of BLT to bus stop?

If BLT has its own bus stop (I don't know if it does because I've never stayed there), I would assume it would be quicker to use that one than the CR one. And with the boat, I just checked a map, and the marina is actually in between BLT and the garden wing of the CR.

You will be using Contemporary transportation. BLT doesn't have their own.
1. You can take the boat over to WL from the CR.
2. The monorail will be your best bet.
3. You can either walk over to MK and take the AKL bus, or you can take the bus to AK from CR and then transfer to the AKL bus.
4. I would head to MK and take their bus. You can take the bus to DHS and then either walk (about 20 mins) or take the boat (20+ mins in addition to any wait time for the boat to get there).
5. Absolutely. You will monorail to the TTC and then transfer to the Epcot line.
6. Bus is pretty much the only way.

You will find that there is direct transportation between BLT/CR and all parks. Getting to a resort means going to a nearby park (either close to your resort or close to the resort you want to get to) and then heading to the resort you want to get to. It does take time though. So, when going from resort to resort, you really need to leave at least an hour to do so, and 90 mins is even better. Better to arrive too early!!! I had some ADRs that I arrived very late for due to transportation taking much longer than I figured!! And I've been doing this for a long time...so I left plenty of time!

Easiest way to get from Beach Club (Cape May Cafe') to Downtown Disney? At about 7pm, if that matters.

Thanks!
