Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

Wonderful info on transportation. Is the first post up to date? Not sure if anything has changed since 2010. Thanks!

Yeah. The bus stop numbers might have changed, but there are very clear signs at the stops anyway.

It's pretty much the same. Bus stop numbers can, and do, change. There's no way to stay on top of those. But the info is correct.

Hi all!!!

I need to get from DHS to DTD... would you walk to BW and take the bus from there or is there an easier way? How far is the walk to BW (I have really bad feet and this will be at the end of a park day that started at RD)? Is it well marked?

You could grab the boat from DHS to any of the Epcot area resorts to catch a bus to DTD. At the end of a park day, I never want to walk it. But it would probably be a 15-20 minute walk to BW, depending on pace.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards App, please excuse any typos or autocorrects!

Take the bus to Pop Century or Art of Animation, whichever comes first. Transfer there to the DTD bus.

We will be at OKW in 2 weeks, first timers...do I get to post on here where we need to go and someone will tell us how to get there? This is awesome!

Yep. We're happy to help.

Is there a reason I shouldn't take a bus to SSR or OKW since they're closer? Any thoughts on taking the bus to POR and then the boat to DTD... depending on time that might be nice.

Transferring at Pop or AOA will be faster than any of those options.

You can go to any resort you wish to transfer.

SSR & OKW have multiple stops within the resorts. It may take 10-15 minutes for the bus to make all the stops. Some people find that frustrating.

Also, Pop & AoA have separate load zones with queues for each destination, while SSR & OKW have shared load zones. The shared load zones sometimes can result in backups if multiple buses arrive at the same time, especially if wheelchairs are loading or unloading. The actual delay is just a few minutes, but it feels longer.

The boat ride from PO is very nice, but you said you would be traveling at the end of a park day. It's not unusual for boats to fill up in the evening, in which case you might have to wait for a 2nd or even 3rd boat. (Buses can fill up too, but additional buses can be dispatched; the boats don't have that option.)

Thank you so much! The detail really helps me!!

BLT does not have a bus to Epcot, is there a bus to Epcot from GF, or do you have to take the monorails to Epcot from there?

I believe all of the monorail Resorts only offer monorail transportation to and from Epcot.

We have 2 ADR's b4 9am when the parks officially open. One is for the BBB in Mk at 8:05am and the other is for Akershus Breakfast in Epcot at 8:20am. We will be staying at the AoA and we were wondering if the buses start running early enough for those individuals that have 'b4 park opens' ADR's...Every lil bit of advice and info would help..thank you! :confused3

Ps..didn't really want to spend money on taxi's
