Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

I'd go with 6:15, and be sure to tell the driver that you are going to CR for breakfast.

So, here is my question...we have a 6:00 p.m. ADR at the GF Cafe on our arrival day. We are staying at POFQ. Just going to hang out at the pool since we probably won't get to the resort until 10:30-11:00. What is the best way to get there using Disney transportation and what time should we leave the resort? Thank you!!!

That one's easy. I would take the bus, from POFQ, to MK. Then you have two choices...either the monorail over to GF, or the small boat that runs between MK, GF and Polynesian.
For a 6pm ADR, I would leave your resort by 4:45. That should get you there with time to spare..and it's fun to wander around and check out the resort.
Then, when it's time to go back? Head back over to MK and take the POFQ bus from there.

We will have an infant with us and are not bringing a car seat. So a cab is out.

Just an FYI for other people with this issue in the future, I have found out that you can request a cab with car seats. This will be much easier than trying to make it by bus.

How long should I plan to travel from Poly after dinner to Chip & Dale campfire?

I believe Campfire is at 7pm at that time of year.
Recommend boat from CR or MK to FW?
thanks for any advice!

can anyone offer any advice?

Mid November Ohana to FW Campfire?

Not much personal experience with the boats, but I think 75-90 minutes is a reasonable allowance:
0:10 - wait for monorail
0:10 - monorail to MK
0:20 - wait for boat
0:15 - boat to FtW

That leaves 20-35 minutes to make your way from the FtW dock to the campfire circle. You can walk it (about 3/4 mi.), or take a bus part of the way.

I don't think that there would be much of a difference transferring at MK or CR. You might ask for opinions on the camping board.

Thanks for your help - I figured the one hour estimate might not do it for that one!

Ok so its been over a year since my last Disney adventure and the next one is just over 6 months away. Trying to plan dining so I am ready to book when it opens in 9 days :). . . what I need to know is how long should I plan for landing at airport to Magic Express to Animal Kingdom Kidani, check in, and then I need to know approximate time for transport from AK Kidani to Chef Mickey's :) :goodvibes

138 pages!!! Wow.
Is the information on the first page still accurate after all this time?

I wouldn't make an ADR at all for arrival day - there are just too many possible delays. If you really want to make one, I wouldn't make it for sooner than 5 hours after your flight arrives.

As far as probable timing goes: 90 to 120 minutes from the time the plane lands until you get to the resort, 30 minutes to check in, 45 minutes to get to MK and another 20 to get to Chef Mickey's.

This was just answered earlier this week, so the answer should be on the page before this one :)

Not sure exactly what you mean. There is info that gives you transportation options between each park. Those are still accurate. The only things that may have changed could be stop #'s. Those are subject to change all the time.
When you get to the park bus stop areas, you will see signage that tells you exactly where each bus is located.
It's all very simple.

What is the best way to get to the Boardwalk from Port Orleans Riverside?

Take the bus to Hollywood Studios and then the boat or walk to the Boardwalk. The boat ride will be about 10 - 15 minutes long. The boat dock is outside the HS gates to the right.

It depends on much time you want to spend. A cab will be very quick and shouldn't be too much.
If you don't want to take a cab, you can take the bus to DHS, and then either walk or take the boat. If there is a boat right there (or coming in), take the boat. Then, get off at the S/D stop, and walk across the bridge to BW. If you stay on the boat it will stop at the YC/BC before getting to BW.
If there is no boat in sight, or one is just leaving? Walk. Head towards the boat dock but when you get to the fence at the end of the canal, with the dock to your left, stay to the right, on the sidewalk that runs along the side of the parking lot. You will come to a downward slope, should be a sign there telling you that is the way to BW. Go down the slope and walk beside the canal. You will come to the BW, on your right. When you get to the back of the main pool, walk in, behind the pool slide, and cross thru the pool area, and out the covered area to the village green.

I need some help. These are the places that I need to travel to. I only want to use WDW buses, monorail, or boats. No personal cars or taxis. Some info I know already or think I know.
AoA Resort to 1900 Park Fare 9:30 breakfast (Take bus to MK then monorail to GF?)

GF to Winter Summerland (Take bus from GF to Blizzard Beach then what?)
Winter Summerland to MK (Bus from ? to a monorail resort then take monorail to MK) Which resort? Or should I get on whatever bus arrives first?

To get from AoA to 1900 Park Fare for a 9:30 ADR, be out at the MK bus stop no later than 8:15. You may get lucky and get right on a bus, but you may also arrive just as one is leaving. The buses tend to run pretty frequently at this time though. When you get to MK, you have two options..either boat or monorail to 1900 Park Fare. The monorail will take about 20 mins, not including wait times. The boat takes about 8-10 mins, not including wait times.

To WinterSummerland, take the BB bus and then walk across the parking lot area...it's easy to figure out once you get there. WS to MK? Bus to the CR and then walk over to MK...takes under 10 mins to walk it.

This pertains to an upcoming August trip.

We have reservations at 8pm @ Ohana, then planning on heading to the Poly beach to watch Wishes.

Assuming that part goes as planned, will we be able to get back to MK/Main Street in time for the parade? (10pm wishes, 11pm parade).
I do understand good viewing locations will be gone, since it's the first night of our first visit, I thought it would be a cool end to the day.

Or, alternately, am I just getting us into a human traffic jam, should I go from Poly to the TTC & right back to the resort (PORiverside)

Thanks for any input!

I am thinking about staying at POFQ or POR on an upcoming trip.
Is the only way to get to Epcot by bus?
Can I walk or take a boat? :boat:

The resort looks pretty close to Epcot so I'm assuming the bus trip is short, but I was just curious about other modes of transportation.

Thanks!

The only way to get to Epcot (or any of the other parks, for that matter) from either POFQ or POR is by bus. POFQ and POR do have boat service for DTD, though.
