Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

I tried to use the search to look for an answer to my question but unfortunately I wasn't successful in getting an answer so I apologize if this has been asked before.

if going from AK to DTD is the best way to go to your resort first and then the bus to DTD. Am staying at ASM? Same question if we were at a different park, is the fastest, best way to always go back to your resort first.

thanks!

From AK, I would transfer at Pop. From MK, I would transfer at the contemporary. From DHS I would transfer at the Swan or the Dolphin. From Epcot, I would transfer at the Boardwalk.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but what is the best way to get to Epcot's front entrance from BCV? We were not planning to rent a car.

Cab?

If you were inside Epcot, you would just head out the "back door" of Epcot AKA the International Gateway, between the France & UK pavilions. 5 minute walk.

Depends on the time of day, and the actual day. I'm assuming you need to get to the front of the park for a tour, right? If it's an EMH that day, you can enter easily at 8am. IF it's any other day, you can go to the IG and give the CM you name..hopefully it will be on a list that they have in hand, and you'll be allowed to enter the park to get to the other side. BUT...be prepared for that to not happen. Because you are basically walking through the park and exiting out of it, at the front end, they may tell you that you have to get there some other way.
If you want to be 100% safe, just get a cab over.

Ok, I'm going to go ahead and admit that I didn't read all137 pages of this thread. So if I'm asking a question that has already been asked, I apologize in advanced.

I'm freaking a tiny bit about how we are going to get around for our upcoming September vacation.

We plan on taking magic express from the airport to our hotel (Saratoga Springs). That day we plan on going to DHS. We plan on taking the bus from our hotel to DHS. That night we have reservations at Narcoossees (at the grand Floridian). I imagine we can just take a bus from DHS to GF? I haven't quite figured out how we get from GF back to SSR?

The next day we are going to Epcot. We have dinner ressies at Yachtsman Steakhouse. Again, I assume we will be able to take a bus from Epcot to the Yacht Club resort. But how do we get back to our resort after?

3rd day is similar. Spending the day in Mk but have dinner ressies at Jiko.

4th day we are having dinner at Fultons then we have to high tail it back to SSR to meet the ME back to the airport. I think you can walk from DTD to SSR?

This is our 2 years later honeymoon and its also a celebration of me graduating college. The last thing I want to do is waste time being lost or not be able to make it to our special dinners.

1. Yes, there's a direct bus from DHS to GF. To get back to SSR you can either take the monorail to MK (if it's still open) and then take the bus to SSR or you can take the bus to DTD and walk or take the boat to SSR. Taking a taxi would be another option.

2. You just walk from the International Gateway at Epcot (between France and UK) to get to YC. If Epcot is still open when you're done you can go back in and walk to the front of the park to get to the bus stop. If not, take the bus from YC to DTD, or again, you can take a taxi.

3. Bus from MK to AKL. AKL most likely won't be open when you're done, so again, bus to DTD or taxi.

4. Yep, or take the boat.

Hi all, i did try to read the thread to find my answer but i came up with just more questions so here goes,

We're planning to stay at bwi and have a reservation for breakfast 930am at poly. How do we get there without going through epcot IG as we dont want to use any park ticket this day?

Also do you need park entrance to ride the boat if getting off at DHS? I realize we will need a prk ticket to enter DHS, but just wondering if that is required to ride the boat?

This will be our first time at BWV and have stayed AKL and ASMo but didnt have as many options for transport lol!

You'll take the bus to MK, and there board the boat or monorail to Poly. As a general rule, it's best to transfer at the park nearest your destination for breakfast at a resort.

No park tickets (or resort ids) are required to ride any WDW transportation. The boats from BW to DHS & Epcot dock outside the parks.

Ok thank you thats what i thought the map looked like, wasnt sure if dhs or mk would be better to transfer from either! Thx!

How do I get from AKL to Blue Zoo for a ressie at 8pm. Will I need to tale a taxi?

You can take the bus to DHS and then walk or take the boat to the Dolphin. I would leave about 6:30.

Getting back will be trickier. Unless a park is still open, you'll need to transfer at DTD. It could take up to 2 hours total.

Or you could take a cab. It'll cost around $20 each way.

How long should I plan to travel from Poly after dinner to Chip & Dale campfire?

I believe Campfire is at 7pm at that time of year.
Recommend boat from CR or MK to FW?
thanks for any advice!

The modes of transport have not changed, and the load zone numbers for DAK are still correct. But the load zones at Epcot & DHS have changed multiple times since that was written.

At DHS, all of the park-to-park buses now load in the charter lot, at load zones 25-27.

At Epcot, the bus to DAK now loads at #7. The bus to DHS loads in the charter lot at load zone #31.

New load zones are under construction at DAK, and will be soon at Epcot, so it's possible those locations will be changing again soon.

We have a 7:15am ADR at chef mickeys. We are staying at Caribben Beach. What's the best way to get to contemporary that early?

Honestly, a cab. At that hour of the morning, Disney transportation will be spotty at best, unlikely you will make it on time. The cash to take a cab will be money well spent, IMO. You can take Disney transport to get to wherever you are going after breakfast.

We will have an infant with us and are not bringing a car seat. So a cab is out.

Since a cab is out, you should be at the bus stop in time to catch the first park bus at 6:30 for MK, then walk over to the CR.
