So, how do you get to another resort from ASMu?? You want to head to the closest park. If you want to get to GF, CR, WL, or Polynesian, take the bus to the MK about an hour before your ADR time. There will be buses running to the parks about 6:30am for park restaurants. When get to MK,then you can either take the monorail to CR, Poly, or GF or a boat to WL, GF or Poly.

maybe we'll do GF so we can take the monorail. You don't have to go INTO MK to get the monorail, right?

We can always take that route to get there and if time is getting short we can take a cab back to ASMU. DME will be picking us up around 12:30 so we should be ok if we do an 8:00 a.m. breakfast.

Thanks.

As long as you are back at the resort by noon, you should be fine. You don't have to go into MK in order to use the monorail. Be aware that the monorail to GF will take up to 25 mins, not including any wait times. You may be able to take the small boat from MK over to the GF.. not sure what time that starts running. The monorail starts up around 7ish.

Good idea getting a cab to head back...gives you a bit more time.

Is there a listing anywhere for resort boat service? I remember being able to take a boat from WL to FW but are there direct boats between Poly and GF too between all of these? Is it one big route? How often do boats come? We are planning on doing a PLatinum plan next Fall and will need to go between WL, FW, and GF a few times and I'm trying to figure out if our schedule is even possible in terms of time to wait for boats assuming they are somewhat direct and we don't have to switch at MK.

There is a boat that runs in a circle stopping at FW, WL, and CR. I think the order of stops changes during the day.

There is also a direct bus between FW & WL, which runs about every 15 minutes.

Another boat circles through Poly, GF, & the MK. I think that boat also runs in different directions during the day, and only runs during MK hours.

You can also walk between Poly & GF in about 15 minutes, and of course there is the Monorail, which starts at 7 a.m. each morning.

Sorry, not sure of the frequency of the boat routes.

What about Beach Club Resort to Grand Floridian/1900 Park Fare for a 9:30am ADR?

Ok, I am a bit confused. We shouldn't use the OLP transportation wizard? In that case, how would you recommend getting to the parks (water too) from CBR? Or is there a wizard that you would suggest? Do they have resort to resort transportation from CBR or do I have to take the bus to somewhere to get to the resort.

Thank you!:goodvibes

There are no walkways from CBR to either DHS or EPCOT, even though they are very close to one another.
There are buses from CBR to all the parks including the water parks.

To get from CBR to other resorts you would need to take a bus to a park or DTD and then transfer to the resort bus you want to go to. Be conscience of park closing times when planning your resort to resort trips, both going and returning.

You could also take a cab from any resort to any other resort.

The OLP transportation wizard is a bit outdated and therefore not 100% reliable. IMHO

What about Beach Club Resort to Grand Floridian/1900 Park Fare for a 9:30am ADR?

Bus from BC to MK and then monorail from MK to GF, allow about an hour.
If you're pressed for time there is always a taxi for approx $20-$25.

Hi, new to the thread, I did a search and I could find my answer so I thought I would ask. I have a 9:30 dinner ressie at Narcoossee's and I am staying at Port Orleans-FQ, when should I leave and how should I go about getting there using Disney transportation? thanks :)

If the MK is open until 9 or later, take the bus to the MK, and then the boat or the Resort Monorail to GF. The boat drops you right at Narcoosee's door, but it can be a bit uncomfortable on cold windy nights. Be at the bus stop around 8:15 to allow for maximum wait times.

If the MK closes earlier, you have 2 choices, both of which you should start around 8 p.m. for. Take the bus to Epcot, then the Monorail to the TTC, and transfer to the Resort Monorail to the GF. Or, if DHS is open late, you can take a bus to DHS, and then the bus which stops at the CR, Poly, and finally GF. You need to allow more time for these options because the bus will go to all stops at POR after leaving POFQ, whereas the MK bus is usually non-stop.

If I want to get to Magic Kingdom by 9 am rope drop from Beach Club, what time should I be at the bus stop? I have never done rope drop before, and I want to make sure I do it right! ;) Thanks!

Depends on how far up front in the crowd you want to be. If you just have to among the first to enter, then be out at the bus stop by 8am. If you just want to join the crowd for park opening at 9, be out by 8:30. You will have lots of company at the bus stop at this time though.

If it were me, I would be out around 8:15 or earlier.

Thanks for the speedy response! What about getting to rope drop at Hollywood studios from Beach Club? I know there is a water shuttle. What time should I be there?

The boats start running about an hour before the park opens...so be out at the dock about 8:00-8:15. It takes about 15 or so mins to get to DHS once you are on the boat. Or you can walk.

We will be staying at the Carribean Beach Resort. I am taking my son for a ride along experience the day we arrive. How do we get from the CBR to the Richard Petty Track? I know the track to located by MK. Thanks!

There's a shuttle van from the TTC, so you would take the bus to the MK, Monorail or ferry to TTC, and then catch the shuttle, which is by the old TTC kennel, now just Lost & Found.

See this thread ...

If you're driving, the entrance is at the exit to the MK parking lot. Drive into the MK lot and the Speedway will be on your left. Just circle around the Speedway as if you're exiting the parking, and there's a tunnel into the Speedway on the opposite end, just after you turn towards the parking exit lanes.

Hi all,

Looking to know the best way to get to The Grand Floridian from Wilderness Lodge for a late breakfast at 1900 Park Fair. I had read that the AK bus stops at GF but not sure if that is seasonal or consistent. Am I better to take one of the boats to MK or Contemporary to catch the monorail?

TIA!
