Not sure if it's okay to post this here or not? We are staying at a Universal Hotel, The hardrock and we have a reservation for the Spirit of Aloha at the Poly. Any ideas on how to get there? We are only staying for 3 days so I did not want to rent a car!!

I would either book a car service or get a cab. You might be able to get the Mears shuttle though...I'm just not sure how long it runs between the two areas. I would call Mears and ask them. That would be the cheapest way.

Take the MK bus from CSR. Then walk over to CM's...the walk takes about 8 mins..along the sidewalk that runs beneath the monorail line. You can take the monorail but it usually takes longer than walking. I would plan on at least 45 mins, an hour would be better..just in case.
To get to DTD just take the bus from the CR. It should take about 45 mins, including wait times.

How much is a cab trip from Coronado Springs to Epcot-twice we will have to be there by 7:15-7:30? And from Coronado Springs to Yacht Club-have to be there at 6:45 for fishing.

DH seems to think that each of these cab rides will be in the $30 range, but I just can't see it being so expensive

Since I didn't have actual addresses, I plugged Epcot and Blizzard Beach into the Mears taxi estimator...it gave $11 as the fare. I doubt the fare would come even close to $30. Maybe around $15.

Oooh!!! Thank you very much!! I didn't know there was a taxi estimator either!! I'm not sure about the Mears shuttle either. I know the show is about 2 hours so I'm estimating close to three hours. Or ressies are for 8 so I'm thinking we may be finished close to 11 at the latest. Thanks!

We will be staying at Coronado Springs and I'm trying to figure out the quickest way to get to World Showcase. Is there anything that would take us to Swan/Dolphin, or would it be best to bus to Epcot?

Best way to WS is just taking the Epcot bus. You could head to DHS and then walk or boat to WS, but that isn't going to save you any time. Or you could take a cab to BC, and then walk to the International Gateway and enter WS there. Depends on how much of a hurry you're in.

I will need to get from DTD to FW for the HDDR, 5:00 pm reservation.

Any idea how to do this and how long it will take?

Is there a place that shows routes for all Disney transportation within the resort?

You need to allow some extra time at that time of day, because the buses leaving DTD will be stopping at Pleasure Island & Typhoon Lagoon on the way out, and Typhoon Lagoon traffic may be congested if a lot of guests are exiting.

You can take a bus from DTD to Fort Wilderness, and when you arrive at FW you'll need to transfer to the internal shuttle for another 10-minute ride to Pioneer Hall. The shuttles run every 5-10 minutes.

Or, you can take the bus from DTD to Wilderness Lodge and transfer to the FW bus, which goes directly to Pioneer Hall. FW to Pioneer Hall is a 5-minute ride, but the bus runs about every 10-15 minutes.

Total time: up to 20 minute wait time for the bus from DTD, allow 30 minutes from DTD to FW or 35 to WL, then 20 minutes to get to Pioneer Hall. So up to 75 minutes travel time; leave at least 1:30 before show time.

An alternate route is a 10-minute walk from DTD to Saratoga Springs, where you can catch a bus to the MK, and from there ride the boat to FW.
10 minutes for the walk, up to 20 minute wait, 15 minutes by bus, up to 20 minute wait for boat, I'm not sure about the boat ride but it's probably about 10 minutes. So total time is about the same.

I'm sure someone will come along and suggest a taxi to FW. That will save you time, but you'll still have to take the internal shuttle bus to Pioneer Hall, so factor in that 20 minutes. Probably 1 hour before show time would be safe, or you could cut it close at 50 minutes.

It will still be light at that time, so if you arrive early you can walk around, look at the horses, browse the gift shop, etc.

Wow, I didn't realize all the options!! I think we will want to do the boat ride. We camped at FrW when I was little and the "boat ride of anticipation" is one of my most favorite memories!

I guess I need to see some kind of map of the transportation because I am very confused. Is the Wilderness Lodge by the campsites or on the other side of the lake?

That's fine too, but I didn't mention it because:

1. There's the extra 5-minute walk to the dock; the stop for the bus to FtW is right there when you get off;
2. I'm not sure how often the boat runs; the bus runs every 10-15 minutes; and
3. I don't know whether the boat at that time of day goes direct to FtW, or stops at CR first.

But it's personal preference. Certainly the walk thru the WL pool area and the boat ride are pleasant.

They are right next to each other. In fact, there is a pathway that runs between them, but it's on the long side. If you choose to go this route, when you get off the bus at the WL, walk through the lobby, out of the bldg in the rear, walk past the pool area, over to the left, and follow the signs to the boat dock. There will be two boat lines...you want the one on the right..it goes to FtW. When you get off the boat, walk up the path right to Pioneer Hall...takes about 2 mins.

Yes, there are other ways. I just find this way to be the most pleasant. I always get turned around when using the internal buses at FtW. I may just have to spend some time there in the future investigating it further.
If you do take the WL bus to the boat to FtW, be sure to leave plenty of time. With a 5pm show, you should leave DTD by 3:30ish. You need to checkin at the HDDR podium about 15 mins prior to the show..so leaving at 3:30 will give you the time you need to get there, without worrying about being late.

Most of the taxis are still regular cars, but there's usually at least one taxi van waiting at every park or resort. If there isn't one, you can ask a taxi driver at a park or a cm at a resort to request one.

The fare is the same, whether you take a taxi cab or a taxi van, for any number of riders in one vehicle.

I have a 9month old and a 3 1/2 year old and our group is a total of 6 (4 adults and the 2 kids). My main concern for taxi's is will we need to bring car seats/will they accommodate all of us in 1 vehicle? I guess similar question in regards to Mears?

Also, we are staying at Pop Century for our entire stay, and we have two dining reservations. 1 for Chef Mickey and 1 for Poly. What would be the best way to get to those from Pop? (Most likely some form of Disney transportation but what route).

In your situation, it's going to easier -- and cheaper -- to rent a car.

First of all...welcome to the DIS boards!!! Nice too see new faces here.
So....to get to off-site attractions, you could use cabs. You just have to ask for a van, some will have car seats. You can ask when getting one. You might want to look into renting a car..it may be cheaper than using cabs. A cab will cost you about $30 each way to the other attractions...and about $60ish for round trip. You can also use car services, but those may be a bit more expensive.
It is pretty expensive to get to, and from, other Orlando attractions. If you don't have a car at your disposal, you are going to run up a huge bill.

To get to both Chef Mickey's and the Polynesian, just take the bus, from POP, to the MK. You can then either walk (about 8 mins) over to the CR or take the monorail or boat. You can take the monorail or boat to the Polynesian.
