Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

I didn't realize there was a Heroes thread :cool1:

That's why I wonder if Suresh won't play a part in him regaining his powers. I can't imagine them offing Peter from the show. Are they really going to take away the eye candy and leave us with what? Matt?

Awww... I think Matt's adorable. I kind of like his ordinary-ness. But I ♥ Peter.

NBC has all of Season 3 online for free

I don't like what they have done to Mohinder, I really liked him as a good guy. Where is Molly all this time, have I missed who has her?

I like good Mohinder, too.

Soo... that was an awesome episode last night, but I hope it continues next week (my DVR cut off before they showed previews). Because it didn't really explain a whole lot!

I was totally creeped out by the beheading. Gross.

This season has been quite high on the 'ewwwwww-ick!' scale for me, right up there with CSI & its ilk.

agnes!

Don't get me wrong. I really like Matt's character, but I don't need to see him going around without his shirt... now Peter and Mohinder... YUM!

This season has had it ups and downs for me. I really enjoyed the show with the focus on the 'good guys'. The focus on villains is kind of creeping me out.

The ratings show I am not alone and the show is losing viewers. TV Guide asked online readers what they would do to fix the show. Here is a photo gallery of their responses. Interesting. Hope you enjoy.

I love this line!

Either make Mohinder smarter… or deader.

That's what I was thinking. Didn't Hiro have a hard time catching him because he could see into the future, but somehow he didn't see someone rip his head clean off? :confused3 I have to admit, I was kind of bummed, I liked him.
Does Papa Petrelli have the power to suppress other people's powers, like the Haitian? I'm not sure, he's got a lot of powers, but if he could get into Angela's head and convince her Nathan had to be killed, then make her forget everything, I guess he could also get into African Isaac's head to either suppress his vision, or convince him he never saw it. :confused3

I loved this episode! Loved the way they tied into those scenes from the first season, like Nathan's car crash and Claire at the burning train. :cheer2:

Unfortunately, they have pretty much lost me this season. What did it for me was the length of time between seasons. I know that is not their fault(writer's strike). But, when this new season started up, I was completely lost. I couldn't remember half of what they were talking about. It was like I came in mid season. I was lost from the start. Plus, they just keep bringing in more and more characters. It is hard to keep track of who is who. I'll just wait for this season to come out on DVD. And...I'm getting sick of the cheerleader. I wish they would put more focus on some of the other characters.

Unfortunately shows with involved continuing plot lines can't gain new viewers. It would be impossible for someone to START watching now. Shows like this must start with a large audience and that audience is destined to shrink overtime as some people lose interest and very few new people take it up. Before the audience shrinks into cancelation territory, lets wrap it up gracefully at the end of this season. The last thing I want is for them to keep going for another season and then cancel it after three shows because the ratings have dropped, leaving all the plotlines unresolved.

So here is my proposal:
By the end of this season, Papa Petrelli (or Mama Petrelli, not sure which is worse) manages to recreate the formula that gives people powers and releases it to the public via a virus, causing the future envisioned by Peter to come true. People start getting powers and all hell starts to break loose. Then have Mohindar successfully develope a formula that removes peoples powers. He and some other good heros/people (Peter, Claire, Nathan, Hiro, etc. Maybe even Gabriel and HRG) get together and decide that all these powers being out there pose too great of a threat to the survival of the planet and decide to package it their own virus and release it to the general public. Then they show overtime heros all over the world finding they have suddenly lost their powers. End it with a Mohindar monolog about some evolutionary steps being a step too far for the human race to handle.

Oh yeah... me too!!!

It hasn't been as good as the first season and it confuses me at times, but I still think it's the best scripted show on TV and nothing else even comes close!

No way! I'd be devastated!

I like it. The show has jumped the shark in a big way this season and needs to be put to rest.

Thanks!! I was looking there yesterday and didn't see that! The main problem is that they can't do much this year/next cause they are already shooting # 25 now. Though I heard is is full of action, they are almost done with hte next volume!

I still don't want it to end. And I want to knwo who "The Hunter" will be hunting next volume!! Maybe the main hunter now? But that seems cliche', eh?

The last show was real good & I like it lots. I also wonder about Hiro there at the end. The stuff that put him back to sleep...., Ando was told not to sniff it but he did. So maybe a vision for Ando? Hard to believe Arthur "appeared" in a full suit, just like that unless he knows Hiros transport power.

It had me going enough that I was tempted to look at the releases of who is in the rest of the episodes just to see if he was there!

Also Tim Kring has said that all the Heroes we know aren't making it to the end of this season. Which is only ....what.... 5 more to the end of Villians? I know 1 who is going to be in Fugitives...:woohoo: ...

Good point! I didn't even think of that. Papa Petrelli does have so many powers, I'm having trouble keeping up with them all.

I too loved all of the flashbacks. The first season was so solid and good, it was nice to have a bit of that this season.

I finally got to watch the episode this morning. I completely agree... it felt like the first season. Maybe there is hope for Heroes.

Except, why was Mohinder driving a cab in NYC? I thought he was a scientist in India before coming here.

I thought he was a professor in India. And if I recall correctly, he was driving a cab when he got to NYC. Wasn't Peter his fare when the eclipse happened in the premier episode?

He was a professor in India, but came to the US after his dad died to try and find out what he was working on. Chandra died in his cab and it was the one job Mohinder could pick up. He met both Peter & HRG that way.

Last nights show... wow the lines are sure drawn!! We have four more episodes, Titled Eclipse Part 1, Eclipse Part 2, Our Father & the last is War.

And who is writing 9th Wonders comics to have it following so close.

Whited out for those who want to skip.

Any great discussion, thoughts etc?
