Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

It's tough, but I like that the writers are doing this whole "emotional rollercoaster" with Sylar/Peter. "OMG, Sylar's going to save Peter!" "OMG, Peter just LEFT Sylar there, to fend for himself!" "OMG, Sylar threw Peter out the window!" "OMG, Peter's ok!" *phew* Quite a ride!

The one thing I don't like is how easy it is to flipflop Sylar. "I hate the Petrelli's. Wait, no, now I love my mom. Wait, no, now I trust my dad." Hello? Would you trust anyone if you were him? I read somewhere that he's like a child in a custody battle; now *there's* an apt statement!

I was holding my breath, waiting to find out that secretly, Elle and Claire are related too! Secretly, everyone is related, lol. Glad that didn't happen. And enough already with the white eyes/see the future thing. Is there anyone who *can't* see the future?

I love episodes where you see the character's back stories. Hooray for the next one!

P.S. Did anyone else notice that when she was leaving, it was the first time Maya was dressed like a normal person and not a hooker? ;-) Maybe having her power made her clothes not fit, and now that she's "cured," she can give up walking the streets. *winks*

Just bumping this back up - haven't been able to watch the last two(?) episodes.

agnes!
PS - If you've missed some I think they're available on iTunes.

"Oh, let's go to Pinehearst, they'll know what to do for us." I screamed at the TV, "are you both so stupid?"

Are we to believe that no one on the plane would notice Elle's problem? She was glittering pretty good at some points.

PurpleGirl, that's a pretty funny observation about Maya. I hadn't noticed, but in retrospect, you're right.

Thankfully, Peter fell from the window when Claire was about to make the mistake of going inside. I wish Sarah Marshall, umm, I mean Elle, didn't go inside. I think she and Claire would make a good team, especially if they could figure out a way to control her powers.

I'm bothered by Arthur's accent. You figure that the Petrelli's lived in NYC for so long that he'd have given up a lot of the flat a sounds in his speech especially when everyone else in the family speaks without any accent.

NBC has all of Season 3 online for free

I don't like what they have done to Mohinder, I really liked him as a good guy. Where is Molly all this time, have I missed who has her?

In the first episode of the season, either Matt or Mohinder makes a passing reference of putting her on a plane somewhere, to keep her safe. She made an appearance in the future episode where Matt and Daphne are married, but that's it.

I can't believe we have to miss a week before we can see it again! Taht is so sad!!

As I said, any one think Daphne and Gaberial are playing the same game?

Adn to hear that a villan & and a hero were both going to die... did you figure it would be those 2? and the way the Hero did it... Woah!!!

Wondering what Daphne's back story is? And I have heard that after the next show, they are staying in the present for a while.

So many people play this game in life. I think you're right about Sylar/Gabriel and Daphne. They do tend to focus on the person/cause that can give them the greatest benefit at that particular time.

Did it bother anyone else that when she was in the future episode (what, 5 years later?) she didn't appear to have aged? Obviously since she's a kid and they used the same actress it would have been hard to age her enough, but she still looked 11 or 12. I'm not sure how old present Molly is supposed to be, but I thought she was about 10. She sure as heck didn't look anywhere near 15 in the future episode.

Geez, I feel like an idiot. I ended up watching the last 2 episodes back-to-back last night, and I can not for the life of me remember who died or how. I remember a lot of "fake-out" deaths. I know Adam died and I assume he was the villian, but I can't remember what hero died. Claire did but she came back. Peter's powers are gone & he was thrown out a 7th story window, but not dead. Mama Petrelli is still in a coma, but not dead. Please refresh my memory. :headache:

Matt & Daphne died by what's his name, ... Oh Yeah!! Knox. He put his hand through Matt's chest & out hte other side & clotheslined Daphne.

Yes, but then it turned out that they were not real, they were just projections from Matt's mind. Daphne was impressed by his ability and then later was on the phone with the new company telling them that her trickery worked and he believes that she's on his side. I don't recall anyone dying and staying dead recently.

I was beginning to wonder if I was remembering wrong LOL. I didn't think they died, nor do I remember anyone staying dead recently.

Can you summarize, please? The site is blocked at work and you have my curiosity piqued.

“Heroes” Shake-Up, Loeb & Alexander Out
Sun, November 2nd, 2008 at 7:24PM PST
Updated: Sun, November 2nd, 2008 at 7:41PM PST

A major shake-up for the “Heroes” production staff took place this weekend, as writers/co-executive producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb have been let go from the program, this according to a report Sunday evening from Variety.
Both writers/producers have been with the show since its inception and have been instrumental in the production, running day-to-day operations under the guidance of series creator Tim Kring.
The change comes at a critical moment for the program, which has struggled in the ratings in its third season, down from Season Two, amid complaints from fans and critics about the direction of the program. According to Variety, the duo were “let go because of [NBC] execs' frustration with the creative direction of the show.”
Sunday evening, CBR News spoke exclusively with Loeb who said, “As of today, Jesse Alexander and I have left ‘Heroes.’ I'm incredibly proud to have been a big part of the success a show with eight Emmy nods and a win this year for NBC.com. I will miss the superb cast and writing staff and wish everyone the best.”
Loeb has completed writing/producing the fall finale, the last episode of the “Villains” chapter titled “War.”
Alexander commented on the dismissal Sunday evening on his blog. "I write this with a heavy heart. As of today I am no longer a writer/producer on 'Heroes.' I could not be prouder of all the work I did on the show and wish all my Heroic Scribbler pals the very best."
More on this story as it develops.

Whoa, what is going on with the show, or whoa great episode?
I didn't even know this thread existed & Heroes is my favorite show!

Tonight answered some of my questions, but I missed half of the first season.

That one!

I really liked the episode. It felt a lot more like season 1, where I was on the edge of my seat, totally captivated by what might come next. And I liked how a lot of the stories are (finally) tying in with each other a bit more.

It's a nice twist that the villains aren't entirely bad, and that the heroes aren't entirely good. There's a bit of good and evil in each other, and they're shaped by their experiences.

I felt really bad for Gabriel/Sylar being tricked by Elle. Question, though. When Elle had her power "explosion" (for lack of a better term) that ended up freeing all of the prisoners on level 5, did Sylar recognize her? I can't remember...

And I really hope they explain how Mr. Africa got his head...torn off?...by Arthur. Isn't the whole point that he can see the future and thus, avoid such things?? Of course, that didn't really help the original seer, Isaac, and it certainly hasn't helped Angela get away from Papa Patrelli.

That's what I was thinking. Didn't Hiro have a hard time catching him because he could see into the future, but somehow he didn't see someone rip his head clean off? :confused3 I have to admit, I was kind of bummed, I liked him.

I'm going to miss "Mr. African Isaac" (as Hiro called him once, I think), too. I love his voice.

I have no theories to add. Everything I've thought in the past has been completely turned upside-down, so I'm just enjoying it now.
