Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

I dunno. While Lost is definitely getting more difficult to stick with, Heroes is getting there far faster than Lost did. Lost will be renewed and make it through its fourth season -- Heroes? No so sure it'll make it that far, given how things are going.

OH WAIT! I have a question. I don't think anyone else brought this up: Remember that when the Haitian was first mentioned, he was mute. Then HRG said that he was the only one that knew that he could talk. Was the Haitian healed, or was he only faking that he was mute when he was discovered?

Good question, I wondered the same. Claire was the first to find out he could talk, HRG only found out because Parkman was reading Claire's thoughts - boy was Daddy shocked but turns out he's greatful now. So you are the right the question remains was he faking as kid or did who ever he was working for heal him? Since he could read thoughts maybe he felt no need to talk and was faking being mute to be seen as less of a threat.

If I remember correctly, in one of the first episodes before Simone's dad died, her dad told Peter he had a dream about him (Peter) and they were flying. Does anyone else remember this and any other details? It seems like he said Peter would do something (save the world? lol) anyone else remember?

You are absolutely right! I don't remember more than what you mentioned. So Simone's dad is linked into all of this. Maybe someone else knows more.

YES!!!! This is why it is sooooo hard to watch Lost now! I tell my friends who are Lost fans to watch Heroes, because at least you have an idea of what's going on! Now I can barely tolerate Lost - especially that last episode.

Lately it seems like Lost has toally lost it. As this show gets better, Lost goes takes the same degree of decline straight downhill.

I just watched Monday's episde. ARGH!

Why can't tv shows keep with the story? It was not that long ago that we learned that Claire was 18 MONTHS old when she supposedly "died" in the fire. It was just a few short weeks ago. Yet, they flashback and introduce Claire as an INFANT. Yes, the baby did look a little big to be swaddled the way she was, but that was not an 18 month old baby!!!!

OK, that is my pet peeve, because I remember stupid stuff, and I immediately pick up on bloopers like this. It bugs me.

Loved the episode, just not sure how Parkman didn't become toast. My 10yo DS wants to watch it. I told him I would think about it, but it may be too intense for him.

Your absolutely right an 18 month old would be walking around and probably even talking a bit!:sad2:

They would be carrying her on their hips, not holding her across their arms like that!

that is what I thought at first but now I think HRG realized that since other's know about Claire, it would only be a matter of time before Roberts came to collect her. He "set" the Haitian up as a "bad" guy by calling Roberts, only so the Haitian could take Claire to safety and HRG would still look like he is 100% with the program. But I am probably completely off base!

Your theory sounds pretty good. We know that Matt found out the Haitian could speak from Claire (right?), and in front of Matt they started talking at Primatech. I fell they discussed it there and the Haitian came to get them out safely. HRG didn't know that Claire would come in the house to save him and that she would be seen healing as she came out.

He had the Haitian clean him out so he couldn't know anything about where she might be, but I think he will still remember her, since the rest of the extended family should.:rolleyes1

Tim Kring says he has up to 5 seasons planned before he presented the show to NBC. That would be cool!

I think this is it too.:thumbsup2

I'm still trying to figure out how Claire is now 15 and a senior in High school when she was 17 soon to be 18 in earlier episodes!

Less qustions he'd have to answer about How he has Powers.. :confused3

Im such a Poor watcher.. :sad2: I never noticed how she is different in age.. :confused3

I'm glad you are all paying attention for me.. Cause If I had to pay attention to details.. I'd Miss the whole Season.. :dance3:

- That is a long way from being the first continuity error in this show. They've done that several times with different issues. The one that comes immediately to mind for me is that Hiro tells Peter he looks different without his scar...yet, Peter has Claire's power of self-regeneration, so how is he supposed to get a scar?!? I read a response to that question from the writers, and they seemed to be caught by surprise by it. They've made numerous continuity mistakes that should have been caught by someone.

- There is no limit to the number of stories you could tell about these characters. With Lost, they will have to deal with what I think of as "Gilligan's Island Syndrome" if they try to take it beyond their 5 or year plan. In the end, there is only so much you can do on an island and still keep people interested. But through such things as the introduction of new heroes, villains, and plotlines, Heroes could continue indefinitely without starting to repeat itself. Sure, the initial mysteries can be solved - who does HRG work for, what is their mission, all that kind of thing. But the story certainly doesn't have to end there.

I wonder if this is inconsistency or Biomom's BS or something we're made to see? There's something about biomom....nothing about her or her motives adds up. Is she making an age try to fit for a reason?

Time will tell, but I cut them some slack since there are very few things that take on this kind of thing and get it right 100% of the time. Pretty easy to do if you keep things real, pretty hard if you go sci-fi.

My 10 yo DD and my 11 yo DS watch this every week and the 3 of us pick it apart each week. I think it's good for them to think in a way that is trying to figure out what is going to happen next. Their theories are often very interesting... and often accurate.

Thanks for sharing that. I let him watch it last week with me, and he really got upset at headache ladies murder. it freaked him out. He is a very sensitive boy, and has anxiety issues. It really surprised me when he asked if he could watch it this week! LOL. I watched it first, and since Sylar was not in this episode, I let him watch it. I did tell him before he started watching it that no one dies. So, he sat watching it, chewing his blanket the whole time, and then, at the end, when Bennet was telling the haitian where to aim, he started crying and yelling at me that I said no one was going to die. Oh boy. He thought when he said "right here, 2 inches higher and I am dead" that he was telling him to aim two inches higher.

I guess it will be a week to week decision. I know he is sensitive, and he let's everything bother him, but if he insists on wanting to watch it, maybe it will help him realize TV is not real, and he won't get so upset over characters fates.
