Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

WOW! Next weeks show looks so good. But, I will be at WDW. Can someone give me the link to be able to watch the show later? Do you just watch or do you have to download? If you have to download, is the internet connection at WDW good enough?(I have dialup at home, it is pathetic)

It is a stream, not a download. It make take a little time to load but you should be fine.

It really sucks that you have to be in WDW next week. ;)

I can't believe I didn't see this thread before. I'll have to go back when I have more time to read all 25 pages.

Question about last night's show - at the end you see a picture of Hiro with the waitress in a party hat. Is that meant to imply that he does save her

Did anyone else notice that when Hiro's friend closed his eyes and counted back from five and when he opened his eyes, Hiro wasn't there? Did something go wrong, why wasn't Hiro back? I noticed the picture of Hiro and the waitress, but as something to prove he was there, but since he went back in time, something went wrong? I'm worried about Hiro! :guilty:

That's how I took it, I really liked the waitress I hope they have her on again.

I think Hiro did not return because if he and the waitress were at the diner that day the waitress would have died. So he went back to the past and made sure she wasn't there on that day.

That makes sense, but - since they only met that day, we never saw the party. So when did it happen?

My take on the Hiro/waitress thing...I thought he said he would go back to "yesterday" and stop her, but I think he went back even further. Did anyone notice that in current time, there was a picture of her on the board, alone, wearing a party hat, but then after Hiro went back, he appeared in the picture, too? Was the party "yesterday"?

I'm thinking that Hiro miscalculated and went farther back in time than he wanted to- that's why he is now in the picture that was previously of just the waitress. But- it doesn't look like he changes the future, since in present day, Ando is still there, and the crime scene is still there.

I just hope Hiro can find his way back to the present to "save the cheerleader".

One other question- was I just seeing things, or did the folder Mohinder find with the boy's picture in it say "Syler" on the label?

Thank you. That was what I missed. I didn't notice the original picture. What you suggest makes perfect sense.

I don't think they said when the birthday picture was - thus leaving it up to interpretation about how far he really went back.

Hiro wasn't in the diner because he altered the future. I wonder where he'll meet up with his friend, though.

Spoiler I read about Hiro (highlight to read) -- yes, he goes back farther in time, I believe something like 6 months. I think this was mentioned in Entertainment Weekly the other week. I'll have to find the issue for all the details.

This was slightly offbeat -- no Nathan, no Peter, no Nikki, very little Claire. On the other hand, we've caught up with Matt and have seen a couple more mutants (for lack of a better term right now). I'm guessing that Eden has powers of some sort? She certainly alluded to that.

And Claire's dad -- I've had my doubts about him being a bad guy. Probably a "the ends justify the means" type of guy, but I don't think he's out to destroy the heroes.

In a way I'm hoping that Mohinder doesn't have powers. They need to keep some non-powered folks in the story

I think Eden does have some power of some sort. What was she doing when she whispered in the artist's ear?

I also figured that the boy in Mohinder's dreams was the one with the powers and that Mohinder doesn't have any of his own. The boy is the pull back to the research from which Mohinder is trying to run. At first, I thought it was a younger Mohinder trying to help him understand the past, like in A Christmas Carol, then I realized that it wasn't Mohinder.

Maybe this isn't a PC question, but what is it with the nice British accents on all of the Indians? It is so nice to listen to them. Hardly the thick Indian accent that made it hard for me to understand most of my undergrad professors.

Anyway, he's not hard to look at or to listen to.

India was a British colony for many years. Most Indians wishing to learn English would learn "The Queen"s English".

And I believe that both Hindi and English are the official languages of India.

Such a good episode, and I can not wait until next week. An idea:

Just because Ando is still in the diner, we did not have confirmation the crime had been committed. Right? We see him in the diner, but not any indication that things are still as they were. I didn't tivo this, so I can't go back and check. Feel free to tell me I'm crazy LOL So perhaps when he closed his eyes, everything sort of regenerated and no murder?

Bekkiz, I am not trying to be a smarta__ but I have posted the link on this thread several times where you can watch the show that just aired til the new episode is broadcast. You can go back and rewatch whatever you may have missed. There are less commercials too. :thumbsup2

Here is the link:http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full_episodes/?show=heroes

ps: The police are not shown in the diner after Ando counts to 5.

Her birthday was six months prior to the day we saw at the diner.

I'm probably making this much more complicated than it has to be. I'm watching Heroes through "LOST goggles" and have no trust in anything that is happening on this show. LOST has ruined me.

i know EXACTLY what you're talking about!
