Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

My take on the Hiro/waitress thing...I thought he said he would go back to "yesterday" and stop her, but I think he went back even further. Did anyone notice that in current time, there was a picture of her on the board, alone, wearing a party hat, but then after Hiro went back, he appeared in the picture, too? Was the party "yesterday"?

that was my first thought. i was thinking he went back a little too far.

I loved last night's episode! Next week's looks even better! Here are my thoughts:

Hiro: The waitress was able to speak Japanese perfectly. She said that someone gave her a Japanese book at her birthday party 6months ago. I feel that it was Hiro who gave her that book. We see that he is now in the B'day party picture with her when previously she was alone. Does he save her? I'm not sure but as Mohinder said at the end (voiceover) you cannot escape from Destiny. Also, was she the one who taught him perfect English? I am not a scholar of time travel, continuums, rifts, etc but anytime Hiro does this it will effect the present in some way.

Sylar: I don't think he knew of Hiro's powers yet or else he would have targeted him. The waitress was openly speaking of her new found ability so he went after her. He's scary but I was glad to have him in this episode!

Ando: I like him. I hope he survives it all.

Mohinder :lovestruc (swoon) Gosh, he sure is sexy! That accent of his just tops it! Err, uh, yeah um back to my "thoughts." It was very interesting to learn that he had a sister. Obviously this sister had a gift as well. I wonder what it was and how did she die? I really liked the dream sequences they had with him although I felt bad that he had to see his father's murder. We see the "watch" so it was Sylar who did it. I wonder why it wasn't as quick a death as the waitress? Maybe he is learning his "powers" as well?

Eden; I think, if she does have powers, it is like the power of suggestion or hypnotic words, something like that. She whispered in Issac's ear and he actually let her shoot him up. :guilty: Also she knew that Mohinder would return. She said this to Mr.Bennett. Did she whisper for him to return?

Mr. Bennett. Hmmm. I'm still not sure about him. He wants to save his daughter by any means necessary. It seems as if he captures the heroes, "tags" them maybe (cop, radioactive man), does I dunnowhat and releases them. After their powers increase. What is his master plan? I do not think he works with Sylar and how does the Haitian fit into all of this?

The key is 6 months ago, when everything changed in the lives of the "heroes". I cannot wait to see how it unfolds next!

If you go to page #21 I posted some interesting tidbits of the show. It is not airing all in one episode but it was cool to look over it just now. There will be an episode titled "Six Months Ago" coming up.

My guess is that Eden has powers of persuasion.

That's my guess as well. IN some ways, Heroes reminds me of USA's THe 4400. One of the 4400 also had the powers of persuasion. No radioactive 4400s that I recall, thoug :rotfl2:

I am so confused right now.....I missed three episodes in a row (was on DCL for a week then at WDW for 3 days)...yes, some of us have a tough life....but I want to get caught up....I watched the 2 minute replays at NBC site but want to see the whole episodes and don't want to see it sitting in front of my computer....when it the series going to go to DVD!!!LOL!!!

The party is 6 months ago. If you go to the nbc heroes site and look at Hiro's log, it is no longer there, cause 6 months agao he didn't start it. He had jsut set it up.

My take is that Hiro doesn't have powers 6 months ago. He may have to live through the time until it is the day he was there.I am not sure if he saves Charlie, cause sylar or whom ever can find her. Also he thinks Hiro is in Japan, not Texas, so that is one reason he didn't get him. He is using the map that Chandra Sheresh started.

Also not sure if Hiro will get there in time to save the cheerleader. The picture Issac drew of them there has blood on the homecoming banner, like they he and Ando might be to late.

Spoiler I read about Hiro (highlight to read) -- yes, he goes back farther in time, I believe something like 6 months. I think this was mentioned in Entertainment Weekly the other week. I'll have to find the issue for all the details.

This was slightly offbeat -- no Nathan, no Peter, no Nikki, very little Claire. On the other hand, we've caught up with Matt and have seen a couple more mutants (for lack of a better term right now). I'm guessing that Eden has powers of some sort? She certainly alluded to that.

And Claire's dad -- I've had my doubts about him being a bad guy. Probably a "the ends justify the means" type of guy, but I don't think he's out to destroy the heroes.

In a way I'm hoping that Mohinder doesn't have powers. They need to keep some non-powered folks in the story

My take again. :) Eden does have powers. The power of suggestion or persuasion. I think she convienced Issac to take a placebo, cause she believed and made him believe that it was herion. I think Issac is using his own ability. Though I don't know if he can paint what Mr. Bennett wants on demand.

Mohinder doesn't have powers. The dream weaver boy, Inyer SonJab I think it was, does. I believe he is leading Mohinder back to NY to work on the research

Bekkiz, I am not trying to be a smarta__ but I have posted the link on this thread several times where you can watch the show that just aired til the new episode is broadcast. You can go back and rewatch whatever you may have missed. There are less commercials too. :thumbsup2

Here is the link:http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full_episodes/?show=heroes

ps: The police are not shown in the diner after Ando counts to 5.

I believe the police are there. As Ando is standing by the "new" picture, they are in the back of the room and a janitor with a mop bucket is coming out of the kitchen area.

I noticed that, too.

I don't know how "detail oriented" the writers are, but I would think if this were an "actual" murder scene, that the police surely would NOT allow the janitor with the mop to go anywhere NEAR the crime scene. So, I would think that Hiro was able to stop the murder.

I do like your theory about why Hiro was not able make the time jump back - makes sense. I wonder if, after he jumped back to save the waitress, maybe he altered the timeline so that he would not get his powers? Would make for an interesting (yet VERY disappointing) plot twist.

I noticed that too! How funny! :goodvibes

ahhh, but does anyone remember him from Dynasty? I knew he looked familiar and then finally saw his name in the credits. He played Steven Carrington.

Boy....the Heroes are everywhere today.....

Claire is in the TV Guide....
Claire is in the NY Post today and the New York Daily News today
Hiro and Peter were on the Today Show this morning

Can't wait for tonight!!

I'm just telling you, it has gotten out of hand. My DH is working out of state and is 3 hours behind me. I just called him and told him he had better not call while Heroes is on or else he'd be sorry. :teeth:

A-ha! I can join the thread again...Wasn't able to tape it last week...grrr....and I just saw the last episode on Sci-Fi...
Wowweee!

Also saw Hiro and Peter on "The Today Show" for a little spoiler action this morning.

Can't wait!

OKAY....So the dad is not evil....wrongo on that call. Oh how I love to be wrong.:goodvibes That is the mark of a good show.

However right on the call that the cheerleader was going to be able to save people by putting them back together.:thumbsup2

Sidenote just got 15yodd hooked on it...:lmao:

ETA...highlighted part

Just read your highlight...yes, it dawned on me just as they fell....duh, he was with the cheerleader. The ending has me very, very intrigued

I really wish this show was more than an hour long. it gets so good, and you get so into it and then boom "next week on heroes..."

the thing with Peter didn't surprise me, pretty much guessed that as soon as I saw the painting. I kind of think that Nathan's not so much on the up and up.....

it looks like they are pulling a "Lost" going back in time to show how it all started for everyone instead of immediatly solving the mystery. My guess is that there'll be a big cliffhanger just in time for sweeps to end and then it'll be repeat city...
