Okay, this show is getting better and better.

And, anyone else recognize Niki's husband & Micah's dad as scary bald guy working with Mr. Bennett?

They aren't the same person. If you go to tvguide.com come and look at the photo gallery under Heroes, you'll see it is 2 different guys.

Yeah, a couple other posters ahead of you already straightened me out. Something about one of them used to be on Buffy....

Ever since TV guide changed to the full size, I've given up on them and just buy the local Sunday paper for the tv listings.

I thought is was so cool that they started and ended the show with the same line. "I have a message for you". so nifty neat-o!

I have heard, maybe here since I am reading so many sites on this, that the part of Syler hadn't been cast yet. If so... then who was in the police basement?

And so few of the "extra"characters tonight. I wonder if the scary guy with Claire's dad can transport or something since he always seems to be right there at his beck and call.

Nathan seemed quite pleased with himself, flying off like that. Makes on wonder if he had been practicing or what. And did he have velcro on to keep himself covered?

Also with Matt, the cop. Think someone will train him to hear only a few thoughts at a time, or will he get it himself? Must be a real bummer to have all that noise hit at once.

Off to read another forum and get more opinions. Can't wait until next week!

Hiro: "Ooh, waffles! Whoo-hoo!"

He is so darn cute.

DH and I both laughed when Hiro got excited about the waffles.

I loved his face when he saw Nathan fly in and land at the diner- he just seemed so excited and happy to see another "hero".

I second the "how did Nathan keep those baggy jammies on" question. And why, oh why, couldn't they have slipped down- just a little bit? Adrian Pasdar is HOT!!! Natalie Maines is a lucky woman...

Can anyone tell me what Hiro said to Peter in the beginning of the show? Our stupid local channel ran a weather alert at the bottom of the screen and took the sound off. We missed the whole thing.

I'm not so sure that Peter's abilities meet the traditional definition of an empath. Usually empathy has been limited to reading, sensing, and feeling (and with some characters, manipulate) the emotions of another person. Think of Raven from the Teen Titans, Empath (a minor character from the X-Men), or even Deanna Troi from Star Trek.

Peter is able to duplicate another's powers, although I guess it could be an extention of empathy. He's similar to Rogue from the X-Men, but it looks like he's able to do it without physical contact and without incapacitating the other person. Other examples from comics are Amazo (a Justice League villain) and Duplicate Boy (very minor character from the Legion of Super-Heroes). And no, I'm not trying to "outgeek" amy4bruce ... or Hiro.

DL looks like his abilities might be like Shadowcat from the X-Men -- able to become intangible. The guy with Claire's dad ... definitely some psychic ability. I just wonder how long he's been training, and who's behind the two of them. I'm still unsure if I think it's a government agency or if it's some private group that may or may not have the best of intentions.

I was afraid I wouldn't like Hiro at first, but he's definitely grown on me. And that line from FutureHiro about Peter's scar ... either it's going to be a while before they meet, or something's going to happen to Peter soon.

As for Micah, my theory is he will have extraordinary intelligence. Hasn't Niki already commented on how smart he is? As long as we're mentioning comparable characters from the comics, perhaps like Brainiac 5 from the LSH or Forge (another minor X-Men character). Or maybe I'm waaay off and he'll end up being the ultimate villain.

Was anyone else surprised at how much more english Hiro knew last night? He seemed perfectly capable of conversing with Nathan.

I was also surprised that Nathan took the time to bother with Hiro -- he has seemed so self-absorbed that I can't believe he gave Hiro a ride to his car.

And I was hysterical when Hiro sat in the driver's seat looking for directions on how to drive the car. Wasn't he adorable? I think he is my favorite character.

Have we now seen each of the heroes use their powers for self-advancement or personal motives or revenge? Maybe we are supposed to surmise that any of them can go toward good or evil.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I was under the impression that he knew zero English. But at the diner, he was able to speak fairly well. I just figured I was reading too much into it.

Hiro's friend was supose to be helping him with his English, that is how I explain that.

As far as Nathan, maybe it's because Hiro reminded reminded him of his brother. He's brother believes in the "special" people.

I have adored Hiro since I first saw the comercials. He is just *so* cute! I think I annoy my husband a little bit. He knows I go for the geeks(I'm a self proclaimed geek anyway)!

I can't see Hiro going to the dark side, he's out to save the world. He was the first one to really care about finding the others. I could be biased though.

In the series Charmed, Phoebe's abilities to see the future eventually evolved into Empathic powers. She could feel how others around her were feeling. She turned that into "reflecting" their powers. If she was in close proximity of someone else with powers she could use her ability to feel them into using their powers. I think this is what Peter can do.

The way I see it, most people in other countries take English in primary and secondary schools...kinda like how we take Spanish or French. So I figure he took English in school, but never used so it is filed away, just like our spanish/french/whatever you took in high school. Then his friend said he would teach him some things, so I just figure as he is learning a few things some things are coming back to him too.

I LOVE this show!

I just re-watched the first couple minutes and Hiro actually said, "The painter, Isaac, go to him, he will know. When I call you, you must tell me where we meet."

Isaac didn't know anything when Peter talked to him. And when Hiro called, Peter didn't tell him where they should meet. Or did Hiro mean that Peter should tell him that they met on the subway? I'm confused.
