Official Glass Slipper Challenge Thread

I too am thankful for the info on the DIS. When I was having trouble with my newly purchased AP the cast member kept asking where I was getting my information. Without this board I might have given up Thanks princesses & princes. :)

I also didn't get an Annual Passholder or Disney Visa email/alert/anything about this. I cannot figure out why Disney is unable to get that right.

Anyway, I can't do the Princess races in 2014, it doesn't fit in with my work schedule. Bummer!

However just out of curiosity I went to the active.com page to check out registration. There's a little tag under the green "Register Now" button that says "Hurry! Some categories are over 80% full"

... Not sure what that means, and whether there are pre-registration quotas that will be lifted on June 11th thus freeing up availability. But just to be safe I would advise if you can sign up, and you want to sign up... do it now!

Sorry you won't be joining us!

The 80% thing on Active was addressed in a post either yesterday or this AM, and could have been over on the PHM thread...there's been so much activity the last few days on both that I'm getting them mixed up! Anyway, the poster said that that same exact phrase is listed on the DL half page on Active, and has been for a while, eventhough the races are sold out. They think it's just some tool used by Active to get people to sign up, but it's not accurate. For anyone concerned about sell out, normally Disney will post the % full of each race individually on the race website once it hits 50%...that seems to have been the most accurate in the past.

So starting to think about resort. Has Shades of Green been included as a host hotel in the past? Thanks!

So excited I got in. I just hope I didn't mess anything up I was doing it so fast....I was at work...shhhhhh.

Cant wait till the confirmation section is up and running so I can check my my confirmation looks good.

I will be going solo can't convince DH to come he is Disney'ed out. I think that is grounds for divorce

I feel the same way! I felt so crazy rushed to register in the first 30 seconds and I was at work too.

Mine says glass slipper challenge and cost me $288.60.
I didn't know where to put visa code for discount

Thanks Joan,

My original confirmation when I printed it says

This is for the 2014 Glass Slipper challenge on and says the dates, I paid 311 and some change but I bought the necklace.

I just wish the Run Disney site would become avail so I knew for sure

I got two emails from active within seconds of registration. The first was "payment receipt" and has a link to a page with all the info that I input on the form and at the top said GSC.
The second email was registration confirmation and has a link, but would require me to sign in to see info, which I haven't done.
I'd say if you pay $300+ you are in. Did you print or write down your confirmation number once you entered payment?

I'm in!

I'm freaked out a bit, but I'm in. I'm running my very first marathon at WDW the month before, so I'm a bit worried that I may have extended myself awfully close to the limit . But it just sounded like so much fun I had to go for it. :thumbsup2

Had a bit of sticker shock when the bill totalled, so went back and removed the Race Retreat. May add it back later after my Visa card is paid off again.

BTW, the place to put the first four of the Visa number for the discount is where it says "Coupon Code." At least, that worked for me. I'm sorry, I know it's too late for those who've already registered, but there may be some like me who've waffled ;). ETA: Well, if they waffled they probably took too long. It looks like I got in by the skin of my teeth this morning, just before early registration sold out. Whew!

See you all there!

Just checked mine it says:

Event: 2014 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend
Category: Glass Slipper Challenge
Date: Thursday, February 20, 2014

I paid $287.91 with DVC discount

RunSkateDance: Can you post the link that you used to check that. I must have used some other link on Active cause it didn't have near that much info.

I don't know why I am freaking out I am sure with what I paid I am in for the right race

Yeah, I already registered for the GSC and was just on Active to sign my neighbor up and it says "Glass Slipper Challenge – SOLD OUT; Registration Available on June 11, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. EST" so I guess the 80% was referring to the number of presales left for the GSC. Guess I will have to be on the ball to get her registered on the 11th!
