Official Glass Slipper Challenge Thread

That is a great tip. :thumbsup2 Thanks. Now I am torn because if I do register my AP it should be easier to register on registration day, no waiting on hold to call. But I was kind of hoping that if I had to call RunDisney to register because of the new RFID pass I would manage to bypass the Active.com registration fees. Tough call, try to save money, or make it easier for myself:confused3 Or I could use my DVC to register early and save $10, but I am guessing the active.com fees are much higher than that. :scratchin What to do, what to do?

I don't think you bypass active. I believe I still paid the fee when registering for PHM last year through run Disney

That's what I figured. Disney is usually pretty careful not to miss out on a single penny;) And active has always enjoyed taking my money. But I figured it would be worth a try. Guess ill just keep checking for early DVC registration. Nothing listed yet.

Is anyone here doing the DDD at DL this year and using the Galloway training plan from the runDisney website? I wanted to take a look at it...toying with the idea of using a Galloway plan for GSC, but when I went to the website it says "29 week program" (which seems awfully long!) but when I click to download the PDF it's actually a 19 week program...which seems more reasonable. Do we think the "29" was just maybe a typo? Trying to figure out if I'm missing something...

I'm assuming the plan will look pretty much the same for GSC.

I'm doing it for DDD. Yes it is a typo, there were a few typos in the plan when it was first released. So far its been great.

:thumbsup2 Perfect, thanks! Now to decide if I should try it or stick to what I've done the last few years.

Pretty sure they modified the goofy plan so there were a couple of mistakes. One mentioned a 7 hr time limit. Lol

Ooooo, 7 hour limit for the half would be great...I could afford to wait in all the lines for all the pictures I wanted!!!!

Heavens, when are they finally going to update the site with the new 'n' improved requirements? My right index finger is getting a cramp from pushing F5 three times a day on the RunDisney PHM page. Early registration opens in less than two weeks!

I should really invest this antsy energy in a training run, shouldn't I? :scratchin

Agreed.

$160.00 on Active.com

I know active.com is report $160 on their site but I think it's wrong. This is only $20 more than the 2013 Princess 1/2 and the same price listed on the site for the 2014 1/2. It's going to be significantly more ($100) than this if comparable to the DDD.

Yup, I think it's a boo/boo. Well, before it was free on the site. LOL

So, I'm doing the full marathon in January. How crazy would it be to do this challenge, as well? My mom is doing the Dopey, so she wouldn't be joining me so I'll be doing this alone...
I'm also doing the Dumbo and the Wine and Dine, so I should be in decent running shape by the time the marathon rolls around.

Not crazy! I'm doing Dumbo, Tower of Terror, Wine and Dine, Space Coast Half, my first full in Jan and hopefully the challenge!!

This sounds like me! Dumbo, Tower of Terror, Rocktober Fest Half (local), Thunder Road Half or Full (haven't decided yet-local), Space Coast Half, Tink and Glass Slipper:)

Not crazy! I would say multiple races per season is the norm for runners. Have fun with it.

Oh, I'll give the label of "crazy"... but I think we're all crazy, lol! ;) I'm in, too: TOT, Halloween Halfathon, WDW Half, GSC. Looks like a lot of us will have overlapping training schedules!
