**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

I'm so hoping for an extension. We were just there a few weeks ago and the sing along and the fireworks were awesome! I would love to see them again in December (NYE week trip). We will be onsite WDW for 2 days post cruise for Thanksgiving Day and Friday after for the Candlelight processional, so no DHS that trip. My DS read a rumor somewhere that the fireworks might be daily during Christmas. Any recent discussion on that? :)

Many of the bloggers are reporting details of an extension, but Disney has not given word, except to say what's going on until September 28.

1. So is there a reserved area of seating for people with FP?

2. Did both lines (FP and tickets) enter the theater at the same time? Or did people with a FP enter before those with regular tickets?

Just trying to see how much of an advantage the FP is for this. Thanks.

1. There is no reserved area. But you are let into the front left hand side of the theater.

2. They start letting in the FP+ line first. FP+ return time is identical to the standby ticket return time. Once the FP+ line was moving, then they began to move up the Return Time Ticket line. And let them in too. Both their door and the FP+ door closed at 11:20. Their door was the back left hand side of the theater. The Premium Package and standby without tickets enter from the back right door. Standby without tickets are let in last to fill in all available seating. Though today there was plenty of seats empty and not filled in.

Oaken's Frozen Funland--how are the crowds morning versus afternoon not that we are in a slower time? I'm trying to decide if we visit first thing and FP stuff for afternoon or vice versa.

We were just there on August 28th and 29th. There were no crowds for the Funland or Oaken's during either the morning or afternoon. Plenty of ropes set up for the lines...but very few people in them.

2 days until we do our Frozen Fun Premium Package! :cool1:

I will be there with my almost-2-year-old and will be meeting a DIS friend and her 2.5-year-old. Wondering if there is anything I should know about bringing young toddlers to the package events? (Side note - great deal with a sub-3-year-old, since they get in free, but can eat Mickey bars and all!)

A few specific questions:

1.) I've seen mention of seating for kids at the parade. How does that work? Are strollers allowed?
2.) Dessert party is standing-room-only, I believe. Strollers allowed for that? (side note - remind me of where to stand for the best fireworks view in the package area?)
3.) Given the kids are too young for an official ticket, will they need to sit on laps for the sing-along? Or would they get their own seats?

Any other tips for 2-year-olds at this are more than welcome. :goodvibes Thanks for the great thread!
Thought I would come back and answer my own questions, since I'm back (went on 8/31 with premium package).

1.) They had us park our strollers upon entering the package area for the parade. We did not sit in the children's section, just sat on the ground behind the rope in the regular section and visited and enjoyed our treats in the shade. Stood up and held kids for the parade. Then walked up after the parade to a close view of the stage show. Worked out well, except for how quickly those Mickey bars melt! :rotfl:

2.) They also had us park the strollers upon entering the dessert party. We found a low table in the front, so the toddlers could stand and reach things (though we had to be careful of our adult drinks!) Our kids were dancing and having a good time, but we saw other families that had strollers near their tables. I'm guessing maybe they were allowed if the kid was falling asleep? :confused3 We moved before the fireworks. We got the strollers and moved to the very back of the area, next to a treat station. Good view, we were happy - and easier to get out afterwards (though crowds were CRAZY!)

3.) I was given two sing-along tickets at package check-in, even after confirming that my daughter was under 3. So, I think they would get their own seat. However, I was on the slowest boat in the world back from our afternoon at Epcot and was late for our 7pm sing-along. After running through DHS and explaining to 4 CMs that I was late by a few minutes, they let me in and put me in the back row, right section leftmost seat. My daughter on my lap. There was a large column blocking our view of the storytellers much of the time, but we had a great view of the sign language interpreters, which was fun to watch. Kristoff was blocked when he first came on, but he eventually moved where we could see him. We still enjoyed, but I'm sure it would have been nice to be closer. FYI, they told me that they fill in the unused package seats before the show, which is why we had to sit in back.

Hope this helps someone! We had a really good time. :thumbsup2

On a crowded day, the seating may be different. I was talking to the cm and they said FP+ is intended to reserve a seat, not give preferential seating. We lucked out today because of the lack of crowds!

Yep--- I think logistically, it helped as well that the entrance for the FP was very close to the front of the stage

I am sure when it's more crowded, FP seating will be further back

That's exactly how it has been. Then Saturday threw me for a loop. Between the holiday and the last American Idol Experience show, there were lots of people there. We waited 15 minutes outside, about 5 inside, then 20 for the snow. Hadn't seen lines like that since opening weekend!

Thanks for the update. I'm sure it will help those traveling with small children.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation! Wasn't the party great too, empty!!

I just have a couple of questions I was hoping someone might be kind enough to clear up for me :)

We have a FP for the sing along show next Sunday, do we need to go and get tickets or anything or do we just head over to the theatre at the allotted time and join a fp+ queue + scan our magic bands like we would on a ride as we enter?

What's the best time to start queueing for the parade/fireworks + best locations to stand for both of these?

Thanks everyone :goodvibes

If you have a FP+, you are set. Just go to the FP+ queue. Be sure to arrive in the time window or earlier. The door closes promptly at the end of the return window.

It depends where you want to see the parade. Along Hollywood Blvd? Around 10:30. Between the ABC Theater and Star Tours, before 11am. It Passes by Star Tours around 11:10am.

Thanks so much!!! I could not believe how empty it was --- the only thing I wish they would do is extend the time to 2am--- between trick or treating , waiting for pics and the parades/shows, not that much time left for rides--- btw, with all the stuff going on, kids like the People Mover the best!' :)

Ah that's great, thank you :worship:
Are most locations good for viewing the fireworks?

We'd never make it til 2. We left at 11pm. I like the people mover too!

It's designed to be viewed from Hollywood Blvd. But there is good viewing any where you can see both the stage and sky. There are big screens up for stage viewing on Hollywood Blvd and on the marquee at the ABC Theater. (All the remnants of AIE have been removed from the outside of the building.)

Sure hope they extend it for October...

So Hoping to hear something soon as well for November .... I feel like a total stalker watching this thread and everywhere else to see when or if it happens : ) I've been so busy with life that it's cutting into my disney planning but I always check this page several times a day (( crazy ))

I saw another new face for Kristoff yesterday. And there were auditions for the singalong Aug 28th and 29th.

Have the Frozen fireworks time schedule been posted any where?

This week's times guide says 9:15pm Friday and Saturday.

TP has them listed. Disney has them listed. I'm sure others so too. Check under daily entertainment for that date.

ETA: fireworks are 15 minutes before park closing.

Any tips for a family that will only be at DHS for 1/2 a day? We want to hit all the Frozen stuff (I know we will have to come back at night for the fireworks). We have a singalong FP+ at 10-10:15am and a 11:10am H&V reservation.

Can you change either your FP+ time or the lunch ADR?

Your FP+ time and reservation for lunch make it nearly impossible to see the parade. Your sing-along won't end until just before 11, it starts at 10:25. The tail end of the parade goes by the Backlot Express around 11:10 and is over around 11:15. Then you'd be late for your ADR.

Keep in mind there is a detour of pedestrian traffic due to the parade. So areas will be roped off just before the parade arrives until the parade passes.

Every time I get an update about this thread in my inbox, I keep hoping the subject line will change to, 'EXTENDED THRU DEC' or something like that! ;) Fingers crossed!!
