There have been several shows in the Premiere Theater that have used FP+, the Christmas show and all the SWW shows. I have not been to the Christmas show, but Yullinin3 has. I'm sure she will chime in if that was worked any differently. We both have been to all the SWW shows.
For most of the SWW shows this year, there was FP+ or standby. FP+ only guaranteed a seat in the theater. It did not give a preferred seat.
There were many disgruntled guess who assumed a FP+ gave them a preferred seat and were none to happy to see standby people seated before them.
How was standby seated before some FP+ people? Here's how it worked for most shows at SWW.
1. Standby guests and FP+ had their own separate queues. FP+ was near the theater and standby was across the street.
2. FP+ guests entered towards the front of the stage. Standby guests entered from the back of the theater. The catch...at the same time.
3. Periodically the Standby line was stopped to let foot traffic pass and the theater fill with only FP+ guests.
4. The very back row of seat was reserved for
ECV/WC as was the back left corner section of seats were reserved for those who could transfer.
5. Once all the seats were filled, SRO guests were allowed in.
6. Package guests will still have VIP seating in the 3rd and 4th row.
Due to the popularity of Mark Hamill, things were changed for his show. Standby tickets were distributed. Here's how that worked.
1. FP+ guests entered from the front of the theater, standby through the back. Again, at the same time.
2. Standby guests were stopped periodically, but if you had a FP+ or a standby ticket and returned within the window each were guaranteed a seat somewhere in the theater.
3. Same seating arrangements. First come, first serve whether FP+ or standby. Same reserved seating for w/c, ECV, and transfers.
4. Once the return window passed for FP+ and Standby tickets, then guests without tickets were allowed entry to fill in available seats.
5. SRO entry once all seats filled.
6. Package guests will still have VIP seating in the 3rd and 4th row.
