**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

I need some clarification on how the morning processional works if you purchase the Premium VIP package. I know that after you check-in there is a spot on the left of the stage roped off for premium package holders. But, I was reading that as the processional parade makes it way up Hollywood Blvd the parade viewers can begin to crowd in behind the parade and toward the stage to see the stage show. Does the whole crowd that watched the processional at the start of Hollywood Blvd end up in between you and the stage if you are in the VIP viewing area? My daughter loves Frozen but is not comfortable with large crowds swarming around her like that and she most likely will not be able to see over the crowd anyways. Do you literally have to fight for your spot to be near the stage or do they keep an area roped off? We are considering just watching the processional further down the street to avoid the chaos of the 3 minute introduction stage show!! If anyone has any recommended spots further down the Blvd I would love the advice!

The only people they let right up to the stage were the children that were selected to be part of the processional.

Once the end of the processional passed in front of the premium package viewing area, they removed the ropes and let us go up to a tape line in front of the stage. The masses following the processional were not let into that area.

The CMs guarding the roped off area told us ahead of time what was going to happen.

I was there on Tuesday and that's how it worked. I know they have been tweaking it as the summer has continued.
The desserts!!! That was my favorite part of the package. But that's the only other thing besides what you listed that you'd be missing.
Yes! I will be sad to lose those but I'm thinking the $180 can buy lots of desserts. ;) Plus I have an 18 month old that tends to melt down past 8 pm, so he plus my DH or myself probably would have missed the party anyways :sad1:. For now I am going to keep it just in case we change our minds or something else changes during the week. I have 48 hours to cancel, right?

Just checking DHS hours for September 28 and they got extended. 9-9pm (from 9-7:30pm) with EMH until 11pm!!!:banana::cool1::dance3: (Though probably more like :headache: for others :upsidedow)
What time would the Frozen fireworks be? How early do we have to stake out a spot to see them?

On another note:
If I have a 7pm 50's PTD reservation do you think there'd be time to get a good spot for the Frozen Fireworks!?

Fireworks start 15 minutes before park closing.

That was definately tweaked. Because it wasn't like that when we did the package. Thanks for the update.

I'm pretty sure even though it's pre-paid, that you have 24 Hours. Though cm have been saying by 11pm the night before. You might want to call for clarification.

I'm really glad they are doing that. We did the SWW Feel the Force package and as soon as the parade was over, it was every man for himself to go to the stage and watch the show. It was too much for us and we were fighting a to get out of a crowd.

It shows 8:45pm on the date if I pull up the hours on Disney's website... It shows Fantsmic at 8, Frozen fireworks at 8:45, and another Fantasmic at 9:30.

We watched the SWW fireworks from in front of PTD. But, if you want a view of the stage or a screen, you'll have to move closer to Min and Bill's or to the Hollywood and Vine intersection. If you don't care about the stage portion, you'll be able to hear the fireworks soundtrack from in front of PTD.

The extended September dates for Frozen Fun are causing me to completely replan our HS day. My girls will be excited because they are big Frozen fans, but now I'm trying to figure out how we can fit everything in!

I don't really care about seeing the processional show at the Hat, but we would like to see the little parade and wave hi to Anna and Elsa. I've read that the area around Backlot Express is a good place to see the parade without a crowd. Do you think it would be possible to see the 10:25 Little Mermaid show, then make our way behind the hat and over to the Backlot Express area to catch the parade? I'm not very familiar with HS, so I have no idea how far that is to walk or how crowded it will be.

Yes. :)

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Sounds like you had a fun 2 days of FSF! I agree about getting there so early for the package. It's too hot even for the parade to wait so long. We did 2 packaged. The first day and July 14th. On July 14th we took our snacks down to the Backlot Express and enjoyed them in the air conditioning. Also, agree, the desserts are what make the package!

I was thinking of doing this too! As long as we can come and go from the reserved area for our drinks/snacks I think we will find our own viewing spot a little later on!

I'm not sure about behind the hat. They have so much blocked right at parade time. And to go the back way around star tours there's another rope blocking at Star Tours. There is a walkway in front of the hat. Not sure when they block that walkway

So...only the Premium package guests get to go up to the tape? What happens to the guests on both sides of the roped off package area? Do they only have to deal with the premium guests in front of them? The package will be $250 for our family and I am on the fence but I know there is not much time if I want a chance to book it!
If we do not do the package I want to be to the left of the premium seating so we are a little off to the side but still can see the stage and hopefully not get trampled!!
I was turned off by the whole crowd cramming into you but if that's not the case....decisions, decisions!!

I've made a map that indicates where to view the DHS Frozen Fireworks from outside DHS.

Better views are along the (purple) pathway inside the area that I shaded in green on the map below.

The bottom green arrow points to the approximate spot
where the "outside-the-park" fireworks on THIS WDWMagic video (@ approx. 6:30) were shot.

I've looked thru this thread and don't think I have seen an answer to the question I'm about to ask... Forgive me if I have missed it.

In all my years of Disney travels I have never walked from the Boardwalk area to HS. I am interested in viewing the fireworks from the Green Arrow Area ROBO has indicated on his map. My question is: is that a walkable distance from the Boardwalk or would it make more sense to take a friendship boat, or even more sense to just park at HS. It looks like that area is near where the parking lot tram drops you off at HS is that accurate? - Or am I the worlds worst map reader?

Thanks in advance for the help!

There isn't really any space to the left. The roped off area went all the way to a railing that goes around some shrubbery. The back end of the processional stops there so the people beyond that (you'd be by the picnic tables) can't move forward.

I don't know what happened to the right as I couldn't see over that way.

The road had to be clear until the processional passed. They must have held off the crowd following the parade and stopped them before they got to the stage. The area stayed clear for the package folks to move forward as soon as the end of the parade passed us.

Yes, you are reading the map correctly. Walking from the BWI will take about 15 minutes. Parking at DHS would be easy too. If you get off of the Tram, head in the opposite direction of bag check and keep walking until the bus loading area is on your right and the waterway is on your left. Turn and look towards the Hat and if your view isn't obstructed, you are in the correct spot.

Does anyone know what time the dessert party starts? Really trying to figure out if we can make the premium package work. So hard to do, when all dining and fastpass have been scheduled.

It was after 8pm when they let us inside.

I just bought the package yesterday when I found out they extended it. Not sure if we're keeping it, but figured just in case wouldn't hurt. I did a speed read through the thread, and saw where someone, sorry can't remember who, posted that the maximum number of people with premium is 200 per day. Does anyone know if that stays true for these weekend packages? I'd be more inclined to keep the package if I know that I won't be jockeying for position with a huge amount of people during the parade in the premium section. Thanks for any info!

I would assume so. The only place it felt like a lot of people was inside Disney Jr. When it rained and the dessert was in there. Otherwise, outside it didn't feel crowded at all.
