If DHS doesn't alter the closing time, the fireworks would be at 7:15 and Fantasmic at 8:00.

The view of the fireworks from the walkway that leads to the Boardwalk area is excellent. wdwmagic.com filmed the fireworks from that area and it was perfect.

The hours at HS have been extended for the Frozen Fireworks nights...at least the first weekend (that's when we'll be there, so that's what I checked).

Sept 5, 6 & 7, HS is slated to be open until 9:30 pm each night with the fireworks happening at 9:15 pm.

The Dance Party is Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto. No Frozen characters because they are at the Sing-Along. Mulch, Sweat, and Shears, aka The Icemen, provide the music along with a DJ.

The processional is about 5-10 minutes in length and includes many performers from the MVMCP MOUCParade.

I loved Frozen but am I the only one getting increasingly annoyed at Disney changing things at the last minute? You have to plan every detail of your vacation months in advance and of course I scheduled HS for Sunday, Sept 21st. While I'm glad there will be extra stuff for us to see, I would have attempted to avoid the Frozen madness as my 2 year old son doesn't care much for it. It was supposed to be a fairly low crowd day too, which I'm sure had flown out the window. When I booked my vacation last year I had tried to avoid F&W fest for the same reason but then Disney added a week. I haven't done any research on the special events because I wasn't planning on seeing them. Someone please give me some advice as to what is a can't miss that I need to add into my touring plans and what is okay to skip. Thanks so much and sorry for the rant.

I'm with you on wishing they would give out dates earlier for sure since like you mentioned you have to book everything else so far in advance it can really mess up your plans ugh! Having written that I did plan a Saturday DHS just in case they extend Frozen into early November but that's because I'd love to experience it all ... Different reason than you but still having to think about what they might do instead of knowing ahead of time is a pain for those wanting it and those not wanting it.
Recently the park EMH changed at MK so the day I have ADR and dessert party is now a shorter evening with no EMH and a day I have a non park day for resort time is now a EMH evening. Not the biggest deal yet I certainly would of planned differently had I known ahead of time so yeah 180 days notice would be nice since that's when we all have to book are dining and where will be ect.
I hope this works out for you : ) My suggestion is go to DHS during the week since the weekends would certainly be more crowed because of the frozen fireworks. I know if I was going during Sept. I'd want to see the firework so I would go on the weekend. Other than that there's really not much you can do but go with it and hope everyone is at Frozen events so the ride lines are better for the increased crowd level that is quite possible

It's a reserved area for the Sing-Along, processional, and fireworks. Includes beverages and ice cream at the processional, desserts and beverages for the fireworks. Dessert Party includes alcoholic beverages. You basically are paying for the experience at a slightly higher price point than those who have the package booked through Sept. 1st.

Just keep the package until you decide if it is something you and your family really want to do. Cancel at least by midnight the day before.

I bought the package the day it was announced and just cancelled 2 days ago, we're going in a few weeks. Everyone can see everything package or not - the difference is the dessert party before the fireworks and snacks before the processional.

Sing-a-long you can still see too, the difference is those with the package will have center seats and everyone else gets side. For our family of 2 adults and 2 kids it was $186 so I cancelled because I'd rather see the earlier F! show instead of attend the dessert party (we got a F! dinner package, I held onto both while deciding which route to go), we're on the dining plan so will have an abundance of snack credits anyway so we can just make our own dessert party. We're going on a Tuesday with crowd level expected to be a 3 or 4. For us it made sense to cancel the package and I booked the Memory Maker for $150 instead.

Why the concern about this turning a "2" day in to an "8" day on the calendar? I'm confused.

Has anyone had success seeing the 11:45 Beauty and Beast show and making it to the 12:30 sing-a-long in time? We are unfortunately restricted to those two show times due to some little ones in our party needing naps.

We are there during the extended time. We could do the FROZEN premium package on Friday the 12th, however we were thinking of doing another MNSSHP that night at MK. We are already doing the MNSSHP on the 9th. The 12th is our last day..we leave mid afternoon Saturday.

I'm debating between one or the other. We are already doing DHS on Sunday. BUT we wouldn't arrive until around noon(ish). All we do is TSM, Muppets, Star Wars (which we have FP+) for already. If not a long wait we would do TOT. I would like to shop Oaken's and play in the snow!!! and see the Frozen Sing along. Having dinner at 50's. We won't stay the fireworks this nite as I know we will be tired. Is that too much with such a late arrival and early departure...Do I need to do this? LOL

There are no kids just 2 adults. I'm thinking no...BUT if this is really cool I don't want to miss out.

"DJ Chill" is great !! (so are "The Icemen") ---- love the dance party !!!

I didn't find the crowds to be bad at all on a Saturday. Now if people rearrange their schedules based on the Frozen fireworks (which seems somewhat unlikely but it is Frozen) I guess it could increase crowds. But we found it very manageable. Of course this was 2 adults, so it might be a little different with kids. But we found a place to sit and watch the parade about 20 minutes before it started without a problem, had no issue with sing-along availability, and got to do most of the attractions we wanted to, even with arriving late morning and leaving the park for over an hour.

Just booked the Premium Package for the 28th - our first full day in the parks! Had to swap some Epcot FP+'s and ADR's around but it's all worked out for the best - sooooo happy they have extended this!

If we just wanted to see the fireworks at the end of September what time would we need to get to the park? We booked a premium package but now I am second guessing. We mainly care about the fireworks but don't want to stand on the street for an hour before hand.
