**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

I'd go with the Frozen stuff because we don't know if this event will be back after Sept 1. Hoop-dee-doo has withstood the test of time and should be there for return trips.

Just got off the phone & that's exactly what I did! Can't wait! :cool1:

I'm so anxious to hear others report back on this event!

I would like to know when people are lining up for check-in at Min & Bill's. If it starts at 10 will they be lining up way early or is it not important to get there much before 10? Also, what(if any) new merchandise will they have in the trading post? Have an amazing time!:cool1: Thanks so much for all the info:worship:[/ will they be selling exclusive merchandise for the people who bought the frozen package? Did the do that during SWW?

In case I get sidetracked tomorrow, there are some questions I have.

1. Does the entire parade end at the stage or will some of the parade continue on?

2. When the welcome is over, does the carriage go back empty or with A&E back inside it?

3. How is the queue set up for Wandering Oaken's? Darth's Mall had 2 rooms, but the first room was an air conditioned queue. The blog talks about 2 rooms. Does that mean the whole queue is outdoors?

4. How far in advance do people have to line up for the sing-along.

5. Are the photo-ops ones for the Auasma app?

6. Will kids be invited into the parade like they were for SWW?

7. What other characters will we recognize in the parade from the Frozen movie?

8. What are the Frozen drinks and treats at the trading post?

9. What are the snacks for the parade and desserts/drinks for the dessert?

What are your questions?

Great questions! I'd also like to know...
1. Where are the reserved areas for the fireworks and the Royal Welcome?
2. Do they scan a MB or something when you arrive to each portion of the event?
3. How insanely crowded is the ice skating? (Not part of the package, I know, but very curious.)
4. What refreshments are included in the 'welcome reception?'

Thanks for being our 'spy!' Haha :)

I will try to find out how early people got in line. I know I won't get there early because I plan to check into the resort before heading over to DHS.

Sunday I plan to go to the trading post first thing. Skipping it Saturday unless the lines are short to get in.

Good move!

We have booked the Premium Package for August 19th, which is our first day at WDW (having landed from the UK the previous evening)...

We HAD originally booked a Fantasmic DP at Mama Melrose for 3.45pm. I'm thinking we won't make it to the first performance, as we'll be at the dance party... and not sure whether we'll last until the second one (we'll wake up pretty early due to the time difference)...

I've managed to grab a 1.55pm Fantasmic DP (holding both ATM), as I think it might be better to have another couple of hours between the big meal, and the Dessert Party. As we're using our Free Dining Plan, I'm thinking it's probably sensible keeping the Fantasmic Package, as it's still only one credit and we get a starter as well as a main and dessert... We'd be able to give away the priority tickets for Fantasmic if we find someone who wants them wouldn't we?

Can't wait to see some pics!!
I'm curious about the Olaf cut out - where they can be picked up - and how taking pics with him and posting them to Disney works.
also hoping photopass photogs will be doing the Olaf magic shots somewhere.

They did not sell anything exclusive for the package. The only SWW event that had something exclusive was the Rebel Rendezvous merchandise event that was $250 per person.

For the SWW Feel the Force package, they gave everyone a little bag that had a copy of an autographed picture of each celebrity that weekend and a photopass card with special pictures. Hopefully they will do something like that for this package too!

Itinso posted picture of the area they used for SWW. Not sure which page that was on. I'm assuming it will be in the same area.

No, when you arrived you stood in line until a cm came up to you and checked you off their list and gave you a wristband.

The information on the Disney blog says to make sure you keep your wristband on. They will not be replaced if lost or stolen.

I'm assuming the same refreshments as the FTF package, icecream bars and coke products. We'll find out for sure tomorrow!

The ice cream and beverage carts are located at the boundary... don't stand in this area for the parade.

For those asking about the dance party, the music is pretty loud no matter where you are in the dessert party area. And during our FtF day, the dance party ran right up until the finale started. We loved it because the dessert party gave you room to dance without being in shoulder to shoulder people. But if loud music is an issue I'd either use earplugs or skip the package and just plan to watch the fireworks from 50s Primetime Cafe or further back on Hollywood Boulevard.

I think it is ridiculous that Disney is not offering fast passes for this and they are charging for this on top of the price of admission. In addition, it is ridiculous that they are not giving a meet and greet for the people who are paying for this event. Is this the sign of thing to come charging, for things in their park on top of the 100. to get into the park. Ridiculous:(

We had a similar thing happen to us on SWW. I had booked a Fantasmic package for SW meal at H&V before they announced the FTF package and couldn't change it around. We just happened to be telling our server our story (not expecting anything just talking)- he went back and talked to his manager and came back with Fantasmic passes dated for the next day. He also handed the passes for that day and told us to spread the magic. We found a family waiting in a character line with us that was able to use them.

We could hear it all the way at First Aid. The noise level didn't bother me until we round the corner from the shops. We were trying to talk to friends before getting in line for the dessert party and I had a hard time hearing them.

Thanks for sharing the photo again.

I think it's expensive. However, there are "free" options also available. I say "free" since park admission is required. Anyone may line up along the remaining parade route.

Seeing the sing-along will require some time invested in line waiting.

The fireworks can be seen from Hollywood BLVD or anywhere around Echo Lake.

During FTF there was a pretty large viewing area for the stage show prior to fireworks that is IN FRONT of the package viewing. Those are prime spots for the characters, though lousy viewing for fireworks.

During SWW there were themed desserts, beverages, popcorn buckets, mugs for a nominal fee.

One of the most important things about Disney and summer is staying cool. What are your tips for keeping cool in the summer heat?

Have any other dates sold out besides this weekend? I'm going August 21. My DD has no idea that there is a package for this. It's going to be a total surprise. I think she'll cry when she realizes what's going on.

August 30th and 31st are reportedly sold out as well. I was going to wait for some reviews before purchasing our package, but then when those dates sold out, I went ahead and bought the package for August 28th. Because it's so easy to cancel, I'd rather have the package in hand then decide later I want it and not be able to get it.

I took advice from the SWW thread and bought a large black umbrella. It was perfect for those times you had to stand in a line in the sun. We also bought a sun cover for our stroller than blocks out UV but still allows air flow- it was great for afternoon stroller naps. I also highly recommend choosing the handheld fans that have the fan blades contained inside. With 4 little ones, the handheld fans with exposed blades were not good- both my girls got their hair stuck in them- disaster!!! and a couple blades broke off. Also looking forward to trying frogg towels this July trip.

maybe it's because that's Labor Day weekend. I bought mine for the same reason. I bought the tickets then looked into it. I wasn't even sure what it was. I figured I would get them, then see what everyone says about it, that attends. I'm not canceling though. Seems like a time saver in lines and a guarantee into the shows. Can't wait.

If you have a a Fp to meet them, the personal interaction will mean more to your Frozen fan.

With 7 shows, you can always walk by Premiere Theater to see what the line looks like. If you can enter the line and be under the covered portion of the queue, you'll get into the show, no problem.

Contempo Cafe at Contemporary sells the large Frozen cupcake... it is beautiful! A huge white mound of frosting covered with blue sugar crystals. I think that would be better than the mini-cupcakes. DD had a few mini-cupcakes during the SWWs and she reported they were sometimes frozen and sometimes stale. This had also been reported by guests at the Dining venues.

If you don't tell your little one what the package entails, she will never miss it! :)

Thanks for the information about the Contempo Cafe. We are staying at WL so a quick boat ride might be a special treat for our own "dessert party."

Originally, I thought I would do this especially since I have a Frozen obsessed DD6, but for the same price I could buy park hopper passes (not currently part of our plan). This would allow me to hop over to DHS to make the sing-a-long if it doesn't work out on our DHS day. I think I will wait for reports about wait times. I'm not that worried about the parade and I'm hoping to use the advice in an earlier post about catching the fireworks after leaving Fantasmic (which I think will impress the entire group rather than just DD).

I love that Disney added this special feature, but it's just making for more planning when I thought I was all done.
