**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

You can easily see the 2nd Fantasmic @ 10:00 so you won't need the Dining Package. The amphitheater usually has a lot of open seating for the 2nd Fant. Plus, you can get a 4th, 5th, etc. Fp for the 2nd show. If you watched the 1st Fant, you would miss the majority of the Dessert Party. Best to cancel your Fant Dining package.

Thanks, That was my gut feeling about this. We'll try for the second Fantasmic.

I booked for August 25 too. My daughters adore Frozen. Question for Disney vets - we had the Fantasmic package booked that night. Thinking we should cancel it and maybe even skip Fantasmic or try for the later show. At least cancel the expensive dinner package. My daughters would prefer Frozen a million times over, even though I wanted to see Fantasmic. This event may only happen this summer and we can see Fantasmic if/when we return to Disney (first timers here!) I'm willing to skip since this trip is for my daughters' birthday. It's really not realistic to do both packages right?

I agree!! Take advantage of "Frozen Summer". Skip Fantasmic and savor every moment of Frozen festivites with your girls. Doubt it will be back. What an opportunity to have. We will be there in July and I booked the pkg as soon as I saw it. Beyond excited.....enjoy!

I wonder? How many packages do they sell per day? Anyone know?

I also wondered this,I'm going to call again this afternoon since you can cancel 24 hours in advance and again each morning and afternoon,we have been here for nearly 3wks and go home on the 8th,
We missed out on starwars wk end due to hubby being deployed and had to cancel our twins bday trip,
But the boys love frozen and although I know we can que for everything the dessert party would have been great.

What normally happens at these desert parties in Hollywood studios? Do people sit on the floor? Not sure I want to stand for the full hour or so? But I don't want to look like the only weirdo sitting on the floor either..:)

Are you sure? I called yesterday and got a reservation for Monday for 8 people.

I believe they sold about 200 per day for FtF, but there were also people from the VIP packages. So my guess would be between 200 and 250 per day.

I'm in for 7/18, when I first called, the CM told me it was sold out. I called back and got a ressie. Don't give up, peeps!!

Getting super excited to hear the reports on tomorrow!! Anyone want to speculate... do you think this weekend's crowds for the Frozen events will be bigger since it's opening weekend & the weekend of the 4th or crowds will pick up once more people hear about it or about the crowds we should expect for the rest of the summer? Can't wait until we leave in two weeks!!

Don't give up hope! The FtF packages sold out every day and yet there were still people who were able to buy the package at Minn and Bills the day of.

TOMORROW!! I've changed the dates of our resort reservations just for Frozen Summer Fun. I've cancelled all our ADR and FP+ that were at resorts and other parks. I'll be spending the next two days at DHS. It's like SWW revisited!

I'll try to report back live throughout the day, though pictures probably won't come until late at night or the next day.

I'm so excited I'm going to burst! I hope all those trying to get a package this weekend can.

Disney doesn't like to announce numbers. But Missy's guess would be around my ballpark guess too.

I sat on the ground both times I saw the fireworks. Once was the package and the other time was not.

I was the only weirdo sitting on the ground before the firework. :thumbsup2

The dance party will be going on when they let people into the dessert area. So plan on it being very loud. My son is on the spectrum and had to wear earphones to block out the sound level. I seemed loud to me and dh too.

I'm so excited to see the presentation of he desserts. For SWW the tables were Han Solo in carbonite. I wonder what the will do with the Frozen theme?

I expect high crowds. It's opening day and it's a holiday. Media will be there too.

Do you think the dance party will be going on from the beginning of the dessert party all the way up to the fireworks? We detest the obnoxiously loud dance mix music they play at all of the dance parties. We bought the premium package because I knew it would make our day easier, especially with my mom being in a wheelchair. And I also knew my mom would love the dessert party...she would rather skip a meal and just eat dessert:). I didn't think about that loud music going on right there beside the party. She will not enjoy that at all, and neither will I. I hate having to yell to carry on a conversation because the music is so loud. I may have to bring some earplugs! Sorry to be a downer.

I'm on the fence about booking the package... I changed our plans for the night we arrive, originally we were going to go to MK, but I switched to HS to catch the fireworks, and HS was always our plan for day 2... Just not sure we'd make it back for the fireworks on 2nd night, as we have hoop-dee-doo that night. We typically hit the parks early in the day & then do the mid-day break... Our breakfast resi is at 8:10... I may have to save hoop-dee-do for another trip, and use that $ to pay for the package... I just answered my own question :yay:

In case I get sidetracked tomorrow, there are some questions I have.

1. Does the entire parade end at the stage or will some of the parade continue on?

2. When the welcome is over, does the carriage go back empty or with A&E back inside it?

3. How is the queue set up for Wandering Oaken's? Darth's Mall had 2 rooms, but the first room was an air conditioned queue. The blog talks about 2 rooms. Does that mean the whole queue is outdoors?

4. How far in advance do people have to line up for the sing-along.

5. Are the photo-ops ones for the Auasma app?

6. Will kids be invited into the parade like they were for SWW?

7. What other characters will we recognize in the parade from the Frozen movie?

8. What are the Frozen drinks and treats at the trading post?

9. What are the snacks for the parade and desserts/drinks for the dessert?

What are your questions?

I think there was about ten to 15 minutes of down time between the two.

Probably quieter towards the back. Though ds had to put in ear plugs all the way back towards the stores when we were walking to the evening event.

I'd go with the Frozen stuff because we don't know if this event will be back after Sept 1. Hoop-dee-doo has withstood the test of time and should be there for return trips.

Yay have fun! Please report back on this thread and pictures would be awesome too!

Thanks! I will try. I check into the resort tomorrow too!

I would like to know when people are lining up for check-in at Min & Bill's. If it starts at 10 will they be lining up way early or is it not important to get there much before 10? Also, what(if any) new merchandise will they have in the trading post?
Have an amazing time!:cool1: Thanks so much for all the info:worship:
