It's just been a very emotional time lately, trying to figure out how to help him and explain it to him, as he is starting to (I think) see more differences between himself and others. Thanks for asking though ... you're a doll!

oh, thanks, Hol! I don't think I ever told you that my ds has an autism spectrum disorder too. We 'told' him about it last weekend ... and TB, I mentioned the rich computer guys too!
Maybe McDreamy will come over and give me some medicine to make me feel better....
it has to be a lot to understand, so imagine how he's trying to understand. i guess i'll share MY mcdreamy with you. We told Max a few months after he was diagnosed (about age 9). We told him that his brain was wired differently and that life could be challenging because of it. He really "got" that concept and actually tells me that sometimes he feels bad for us (the neurotypicals...) because we have some pretty big challenges too...
