***OFFICIAL February 2025 Thread***

Comments like this are what I think of when folks ask "I need advice for Disney." It just goes to show there are SO MANY different types of ways to do Disney, and none of them are wrong! Park hopper yes or no. Lodging from $60 a night to probably $2060 a night. Lightening Lanes, bring food in, fancy dining.
I think it's great that there are so many different options. And this board is a great place to learn all different ideas and see what works for you!
Agree completely - doing a lot of reading on this board (and a bit of posting) has made me the "go-to" for friends and family seeking Disney-trip advice. But that's always my first question: what do they really want to get accomplished? That always shapes the approach (though flexibility is always key).

We'll see how my plans turn out starting tomorrow! One more sleep until Disney!

We leave next Saturday 2/8 and I did our LLMP and LLSP this Saturday at 7 am. Yay for waking up so early on a non work day. 😥 But, at least it was just one day, so I'm happy for that.
We'll be in HS on 2/9, so I was booking 7 days out + 1 day. I was able to get what I wanted but times and locations all over the place. I continue to try to modify, but for now, I have the nightmare of Rise followed by Tower followed by Toy Story 🤣🏃‍♂️
The other days worked out pretty well I think. I was able to get Remy with no issue on my 7 days + 3.
As I try to modify my HS times, I see that things are filling up. That seems like a hard park to get things in if you were just booking 3 days in advance.
And hooray for the weather! Like many of you - thinking layers. But I think we'll be good with shorts and t shirts, maybe a jacket for rope drop.

We are here now and I wanted to report on how LLMP worked for Animal Kingdom this morning. It couldn't have gone better. We arrived yesterday after taking a 5:40am flight. I decided to get LLMP for Safari, and other rides so that we could sleep in today and not worry about the 7:30am early opening at AK. We slept late, had a relaxed breakfast, and arrived just in time for our LL at 9:45am. It was an extremely foggy morning, and the Safari standby line was backed up past Tusker House. Once we checked into the safari we were able to make our first LLMP for Hollywood Studios. We plan to go there after dinner. We ended up making all the LLMPs for Hollywood that we wanted for tonight.

Yup. One more sleep and we're off! Well, it might be more like half-a-sleep as I'm insisting we hit the road at 5:00 a.m.!

We ended up purchasing one LL for Guardians of the Galaxy. We've never experienced it and I know my husband would probably be disappointed if we ended up totally missing it. So rather than stress about getting a VQ on the day of, I decided it was worth the $$ in this one instance.

Other than that, still leaning into the whole "go with the flow" method.

Looking forward to celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, bouncing around from Epcot (the day we got our LL) to MK (with it's extra night hours) and who knows where in between!

Happy travels everyone.

First two park days done! After some plane-related delays on Saturday, we spent Sunday at Magic Kingdom and today at Hollywood Studios.

MK day we rope dropped PP for Early Entry, then hit Little Mermaid, Dumbo, got breakfast at Gaston's, met Minnie&Daisy, did Winnie the Pooh LL, the Carousel, Philharmagic, then lunch at Pecos (new stuff pretty good!), Jungle Cruise (LL), Tikki Room, shopped + ice cream, then did Pirates (LL), and Skipper Canteen (still my favorite food by FAR in MK). Crowd level 3 on touring plans -- felt more crowded but lines were all super manageable.

DHS we did a later morning and arrived at about 10:30. Alien SS (LL), Woody's for early lunch, TSM (LL), One Man's Dream for AC and a popcorn break to appease the 6 year old, Frozen (LL), M&MRR (LL), Muppets 3D, got some frozen slushies, Rock'n'Rollercoaster for the one coaster fan among us and his very kind sister (aka me--okay, in all fairness, it was seriously fun). then dinner at Hollywood and Vine with absolutely great characters and surprisingly good food--maybe not $80 pp good but everyone was happy. Original goal was to make it to Fantasmic but there's no way we were making the 9:30 show time. So we bailed (and took the hit of the cost of the Fantasmic Dining Package).

General thoughts:
  • Coming from the Northeast, it feels very warm and muggy, though I'm surviving!
  • Feels like crowds in DHS were intense. Toy Story Land felt like a mob. But it REALLY cleared out after 4pm. If you don't have an exhausted 6-year-old, I'd be super tempted to go just from like 4pm onward.
  • I still miss Genie+ slightly, but the ease of having my three pre-booked is nice. If we were doing longer days, I'd probably enjoy it more but I only managed two "extra" on our DHS day. But saved a total of 3.5 hours that day.
  • Photopass has been great so far, super cute magic shots available and reasonable lines

EPCOT tomorrow, then Animal Kingdom (my two favorite parks), then back to MK to finish us out. So far, a great few days! And I can hear the electrical water pageant going by as I type this.

Hi! Tacking on a 4 night solo visit after a business trip next week! Very excited that the weather so far is looking warm. I have to book my LLs tomorrow and I'm so conflicted. I have 3 day park hoppers and plan to do EP/MK on arrival day on Wed 2/12 (should be in the parks by 2, staying at Dolphin so I can take advantage of extended evening at MK), next day RD HS/break/EP, rest day/Springs on Friday, then Saturday want to do AK and MK. My issue is I can't decide if I should RD AK (and book LLs there for the morning) and then hop to MK when I feel like it, or RD MK (book LLs for am) and then head to AK around 2 and stay til 8pm close.

My priorities this trip are riding Guardians multiple times, riding Tiana's once, spending time at Festival of the Arts, and enjoying the vibes at AK. If I could grab a Tiana's LL for my first night I'd feel less pressure, but guessing they'll be sold out for 2/12 when I book tomorrow.

I hope you enjoy your trip! Personally, I think you should rope drop MK and then head to AK. That way, you can try for a Tiana's VQ in the morning. Plus, most people rope drop AK and then head out quickly, so you will probably have lower wait times in the afternoon.

So we planned our trip next week because my boyfriend's birthday is on the 12th, but I didn't take the Super Bowl into consideration. My boyfriend loves the Eagles, so we are definitely leaving the parks to go watch the game at our resort. I really wish I had planned for a different week because it will probably be super busy in the morning and our day at the parks will be cut short. Oh well! Nothing I can do to change it, but I am a little bummed.

Thanks! I think I'm leaning that way. I appreciate your input.

You can look at thrill data for the status of the LLs for induvial rides. As of right now, on 2/12, they still have LL for Tiana's starting at 2:20 PM. I think tomorrow at 7:00 you should be able to grab one for your arrival day. Fingers crossed!

Wow!! Thanks. Off to look.

I feel you! I am also an Eagles fan and didn't consider they'd make it to the Super Bowl. Are you staying on property? If so, maybe you can pop out and watch fireworks or head back to a park if the game is a blowout. That's my plan!

Sadly, I am staying off property, but that is okay. I am super happy that the Eagles made it to the Super Bowl. I can always head to the pool if I need a break from the game. Hopefully the evening will be warm enough for me to do that!

We arrived early yesterday afternoon! Got our room is ready text about 1:15 on our way there from the airport so that was perfect. We got settled in our lion king room at AOA and then went to the pool for a bit. We got to HS about 5:30 and did MMRR with only a 20 minute wait. Then we got food at Docking Bay 7, used our ILL for ROTR (had to go one at a time because of the 2yo) and then did Oga’s about 8:30 and called it a night! Successful first day!

Today is EP and then MK whenever we get up and moving (we are very much non-rope droppers).

LLs booked! Not exactly what I wanted (no Slinky available morning of 2/13) but I changed my plans a bit for that day so all is good. I really appreciate the Thrill Data tip. It was nice to see what was available in advance.

2 days until my trip! I'd planned to meet up with a friend on Friday night, but that was moved to later in the visit, so my Friday night is free. I'll settle in the room and walk to EPCOT to see Luminous. Maybe try a slice of Cake from the Cake Bake Shop and nibble on it for 2 days. The slices look huge! Their Key Lime Pie is also calling my name. My friend and I planned to go to JellyRolls, and I was excited to go there finally, but also glad it will be an early night and no drinking. Saturday and Sunday, I'll be in EPCOT, Monday is Magic Kingdom, and Tuesday is wide open. I have an AP, and it's a good-to-go day, so I'll choose based on my energy level. Part of me wants to ride RnRC one more time, so I might close out the trip at HS.

Oh my gosh, I am so excited right now. Even though I only booked our Lightning Lanes for Hollywood Studios 4 days out, I got Slinky Dog Dash! I didn't think it could be done. I got everything else I wanted with almost all at the times I wanted. I might try to back Mission:SPACE up a little so we're not late for our Shiki-Sai lunch reservation.

Congrats on scoring your LLs! It feels good to have that in your pocket when you go on vacation. The new LLMP has pluses and minuses, but I do love being able to book those ahead of time, vs. 7 AM on the day of.

I'm down to 1 day left! Speaking of that, I need to get off the computer and start packing!

Oh, but one more thing. Another DISer shared this link in the Super Bowl thread, so I am sharing here in case any of you are in MK on Feb 10th and want to see the parade:

https://mickeyvisit.com/disney-world-magic-kingdom-super-bowl-parade/

Thanks for posted the SB parade info. Irritating to me that they cannot pick a time and announce it, either for folks that want to see it and those that want to avoid it.
I have to make my dining plans 2 months in advance and my ride passes a week in advance. Disney can give me parade details hours in advance. Fooey.

We had a great time at EP and MK yesterday but then a slow start today since my 2yo wasn’t feeling well. She’s doing better now though! Probably just overdid it a bit yesterday in the heat.

We moved from AOA to BLT today and got our luggage transferred very easily. We arrived at BLT around noon since we didn’t go to a park this morning. I talked to the front desk and they tried to get us a room quickly so my daughter could rest. We got our room ready text shortly after 1! We don’t have a remodeled room but we can see MK despite having a lake view room so we’re happy! Some of our friends got into town so we met up for Chef Mickey’s tonight. We’re all doing Epcot together tomorrow, can’t wait to try more festival food!
