Me, DH and the 4 kids are spending three nights at US (Cabana Bay) followed by three nights at WDW (Contemporary MK View!!!) Actually won the US portion of the trip through a radio contest, so just waiting on them to confirm my travel dates - but all three requests we submitted are in February 2015. Excited to plan every detail of the trip, and figure I better chat about it on here before DH grows so tired of my micromanaging that he decides to stay home! Lol.....

Would love to score free dining or a 20-30% package discount, but neither were available for Feb. 2014, so I'm not going to get my hopes up too high. Fingers-crossed for at least a PIN code!

You can't beat walking to a park. Can't for the life of me figure out why they don't have more options like that. Anyone? Maybe room for park expansion?

My dad gets a free vacation from his company every 5 years (once he passed the 25 year mark) and he and my mom have decided to take my brother's two daughters (7 and 5) to WDW. Since there is money left over in his 'vacation fund', they're kicking in a room for DH and I! Mainly because I'm a Disney planner extraordinaire and mom freely admitted she wouldn't have the first clue on what to do or where to go! I think that's fair payment for being their personal travel agent!

As of right now, we're going Feb 1-7 and staying in AKL. Now we wait for discounts - gotta stretch that vacation fund as far as it'll go!

I just checked the mousesavers link for historical discounts and for 2014 it listed a room only discount of 5% - 35% available 1/5/14 - 4/12/14. It doesn't say if any dates were blacked out. Does anyone know if President's week was blacked out for this discount?

Trying to plan our trip- want to go pres week, because ds will only have to miss 2 days of school. If it's usually blacked out, we'll probably go the end of Jan- but that would mean only 4 nights there and ds having to miss 3 days of school.

With packages being released soon, just trying to firm up plans.

We are doing a US/Disney split. US on Jan 31 and Feb 1st, then a Magic Kingdom Day on the 2nd! So excited!!
