*-Official February 2015 Thread-*

Hi! I'm Leslie - new to the Feb 2015 group!

DD (6 years old) & I just got back from a MAGICAL stay at Pop Century Resort (1/15-1/20)! It was truly magical, while at times crowded, we got a TON of things accomplished!

Some family matters have come-up and FIL has asked DH & I to return to the Orlando area from 2/20 - 2/27. We'll be tending to our niece while SIL/BIL run the Princess races on Sat and Sun....and we have some other family things to attend to, but we have the time to have one park day on 2/24! I've already got ADRs in for the 'off days' and for 2/24!

As an aside, we're also going to Sea World since my DD is FASCINATED with the gift shop at the Airport. Absolutely FASCINATED. So, we're trying that this time.

We're off-property this time. She'll be so disappointed to NOT open every door with her magic band. I'm also positive that she will be trying to pay for every meal with her magic band, too. She really enjoyed using that and being a 'big girl' by using it everywhere that we went!

Looks like I'll be able to book our FP+ on Saturday at Midnight! I'm so excited! I have a few that I'm hopeful for but I admit that I'm happy that I got the main headliner out of the way on our last visit (Anna & Elsa). They were really great to see!

yes, we got the flashdrive package also just the other day. It's such a sweet little extra to help build the excitement of the upcoming trip! I think that flashdrive is adorable! I just love the extras Disney puts into everything including our family name on the book that came with the flashdrive!
Does everyone get this? Sounds cool, but with a little over a week to go, I think I am running out of time for Disney to send me this little goodie.
What is on the flash drive?

I'm in the same boat - just over a week, and this is the first I've heard of a flash drive. What was on it? Who gets it? I'm very curious!

We're AP holders so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. I still have all the packaging and such so I'll take a few photos later.

It seems like the package that used to come before your magic band. It has our name and reservation number as well as resort name in the little booklet (or at least our original resort name before we upgraded).

The flashdrive contents were just a link to the mymagic+ page and a special video with Edna Mode telling me how to use mymagic+ and our MBs.

Another Feb. checking in!

Myself, DH, and our 2.5 year old little boy will be at AoA from 2/24-2/28. Hoping the extra Presidents Day/marathon traffic will all be gone by the time we get there! The only thing I have left to do before we go is get my BOG lunch fast pass.

The only time I went to Disney when I lived at home, was as a teen in the 90's. I absolutely hated it. Somehow, my 2.5 yo DS has already been to WDW once, DL once, with another WDW trip planned for Feb and another DL trip planned in October. I have drank the KoolAid big time! Just need to talk DH into DVC...

Just ordered my QSDP and was able to get a reservation for my DD at the Pirate's League. Everything is falling into line!!

Now if the weather cooperates. No Snow!!

We did Pirate League AND Pirates and Pals on the same day - it was SO MUCH FUN! LOL Our daughter was still in all of her pirate finery, and we just had a blast! One of our best WDW days EVER!!!

Arriving POFQ Feb 3, and departing Feb 9.

Suitcases are out, ADR's and FP's are done, and we have been counting down with a different Disney movie every night!

Just Mommy (me) and DD - it's her 21st birthday, and the trip is her gift. She is so excited! Daddy has to stay home, and go to work (Boo!) but between MM, FaceTime, shared PhotoStreams and YouTube, we will make sure he sees as much of the fun as possible!

I shifted my Splash FP so it is right before Pirate League. We will have BOG at 1:40 and then meet A&E at 8:30. I hope the makeup will last until 8:30!!

LOL the makeup did last all day for us - but my DD was about 17 or 18 at the time, so she didn't have any trouble remembering not to touch her face - she's a drama geek, and is used to stage makeup.

Having said that, even if the makeup doesn't last, I promise that the fun will! :)

Good to know! February won't be super hot so she won't be sweating it off!:rotfl2:

Magic bands ship tomorrow which means I'm about 30 days out. I'm trying to embrace the wait because once we get home I'll wish for nights of planning like this! I suppose there's no harm in immediately booking the next trip right?! I mean, you only live once!.....now if only I could get the husband on board for multiple trips in one year.....

Woo, finally someone else in the AoA area :cheer2: We'll be there 2/22-28 and are also hoping the Prez. Day/marathon traffic will clear out by Monday for DDad's bday. Sounds like you have definitely drank the KoolAid and your kiddo is reaping the rewards of it! Welcome to the group.

Started watching the 10 day forcast and so far looking good! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Have got to get packed on Sunday as that is the only day I have before leaving! Took suitcase out tonight just to think about getting ready to get on that magical bus to BWV on Jan 30th!!!

Does anyone have experience with Delta vacations? I received a packet today from my TA but no yellow ME tags. TA is on a cruise right now and we leave in 11 days. Not looking forward to hauling my luggage (for all 6 of us) to the bus.

You should be able to contact someone else in the agency to confirm that the tags have been sent. Ours were mailed on Tuesday and received on Friday. Although it was from a different agency.

Hello everyone! My family and I will be staying at Disney between 2/20 and 2/28. This is our very first trip. This trip is more last minute, we decided we would spend this years tax return on a family vacation. We've never even been on a real vacation. We will be traveling with our 3 children, our son is 9, and our girls are 6 and 23 months. I hope my babygirl is old enough to enjoy it now. She is very obsessed with Minnie Mouse now, and I've been having her watch Disney world videos on youtube and she is VERY excited about it. My 6 year old is of course into the Princesses. My son wanted to go to Universal but I'm hoping to find some boy friendly activities for him to do as well. As of right now, he's more excited about the arcades in the hotels. I think when he gets there the magic will get him and he'll have a great time.
I wish we had another adult to go with us to help with the youngest one so the hubby and I could ride things together, but we'll make do and try to take advantage of the switch ride thing so that we both get to ride things.

I never knew there was so much work into going to Disney world. Luckily we're florida residents so we can just drive there. But things like the Dining Plan and so on I was confused if it would be worth it or not. I figured to go with it since it seems to be easier to deal with than paying cash or charging every meal.
Luckily I was able to make ADRs everywhere we wanted to eat except for BoG. I've got us scheduled for a character meal every day, except our Downtown Disney day, I chose Planet Hollywood cause I"ve never been there either. I figure we will check in around 3pm on the 20th, and since MK stays open till midnight we can still get a few hours in there. I have reservations for The Crystal Palace scheduled so we can be there during Wishes and have a nice seat and view without having to fight with people on main street on our first night.
I'm looking forward to Chef Mickeys the most, simply because I can't wait to see my little ones face when Minnie comes up to her. I'm planning on getting in with the characters around the park, but if the wait is too long, we'll just meet them at our dinners.

We're super excited and I'm glad to have found this place. I hope everyone has a safe trip down here to FL and you all have a great time!

One more thing, I would like to get those buttons that say first trip, birthday, anniversary etc... so that it can be extra special for the kids. Two/three of my kids have bdays in march, and the hubby has a bday, and our anniversary is all within two weeks of our vacation. Where do we get he buttons? I would love for cast members to embarrass my son and sing him happy birthday or something. Hey, moms need entertainment too LOL!

I got my button when we checked in. Make a note on your reservation. At the restaurants they would sing and bring a little birthday cupcake. I got a card at 2 of the restaurants.

Your kiddos will love it! My DD was 17 months the first time she went. While she doesn't remember it (other than through pictures) she enjoyed seeing the characters and going on the rides.

Have fun! We will be ending our trip as you are arriving.

We were thrilled yesterday when our MBs arrived! We double checked everything on MDE before falling asleep and it was perfect.

But this morning, when we woke up and decided to check for any recently released ADRs, we found almost everything missing!!

We're less than 20 days out and 1 of our ADRs was missing completely, the other one was only showing one of us. DH's annual pass completely disappeared off of MDE and to top it all off our FP+ had been messed around! We had originally had A&E, Festival of fantasy and 7DMT. We logged on to have Pirates, wishes and 7DMT.

Called Disney and got the dining figured out, resnagged our cancelled ADR (how in the world did that happen?!), spoke to the tech team and they're going to try to figure out what happened and give us a call when they get it resolved (they confirmed that there is still a pass in his name though), and tried to get our FP back which we were only able to recover FoF but not A&E :scared1: !! OUR only option is to keep checking back daily and speak to guest Relations in the park once we arrive.

:guilty::headache::mad: Am I allowed to panic now? lol I just hope I'm not checking back in a few hours to have to do it all again!
