Thanks!! I am so excited to try it out. We didn't on last year and have heard so many great things about it.

In just three weeks we will be in Epcot - getting ready to dine at Le Cellier!! We got our DME tags this weekend and I got an email that our magic bands shipped today.

I am more that excited to see the Royal room at Port Orleans Riverside - and I am really looking forward to our meals at Le Cellier, Mama Melrose, Yak and Yeti, Boatwrights and Kona Cafe - who knew you could get so excited about food :thumbsup2

oooh, congrats! I am still hoping (...wishing on a star) to get a BOG dinner reservation, but my lunch window should open this week so hopefully we can get a lunch fastpass at least.

We loved Mama Melrose!!

Nice to see more February travelers have joined us!

Trying to get all caught up at work then begin packing next weekend after I finish up the laundry. Then Wednesday night the suitcases get placed in the car as leaving directly after work and head to pre flight hotel!

Yay! I'm doing the same- packing mostly over the weekend. Calling tomorrow to schedule a pedicure for Monday night, out with neighbors Tuesday night, finalize packing wed night and load up the car, go over everything with house-sitter, and then thurs morning, we're hitting the road- 10 days from today!!

And yes, I have so much to do at work before then. Maybe even turn in my resignation!! (I hope to have another offer before we leave)

When are to hear something from your interview. I hope it all works out the way you want! pixiedust:

And safe travels to you and your family.

I really want to start packing, but I am waiting to see the weather forecast for at least a few days of the trip (we arrive 1/31).
This mid-60s & sunny stretch is a tough one. Plus the morning are still in the 40/50s. I tend to prefer wearing jeans below 70, but with the sun & the running around... Am I going to overheat?
What are other people doing?

I love wearing shorts now matter the weather. I have looked at the forecast a few times and even thou I am two weeks out, the weather is looking good so far (a couple 70 plus degree days). I know in the morning it will be damp and a bit chilly but I figure I couple wear some of my addidas sports sweats with shorts underneath and wait till it warms up. The only time I plan on wearing jeans will be at night for dinner. There is no way I plan on spending my entire vacation wearing anything but shorts and short sleeves. Another thing you could do and I plan on doing is to wears shorts and wear a hoodie with it. With all the walking that most of us will be doing, you will most likely build up a great workout and probe become a little warm, thus why imo it is always nice to have shorts on.

All this talk of packing has me exciting. There's been something else keeping me from packing though - and that's pretty unusual for me. I get teased pretty hard at work for my early bird preparations!!

But, today, our brand new full bedroom set is being delivered. Yay. I feel like it's the first time in 26 years we're going to have a full grown-up bedroom. I can't wait.

For now, I have some things in a box in another room, but since I just did a full-blown clean-out, clean-up of our bedroom, I'm waiting to get the new set in there to take out the luggage and get going!!

Woke up this morning to an email saying our Magic bands have shipped! So excited to be going back soon!

Super Jealous of all with BoG reservations. I've been trying to snag dinner res for months!

Okay I just booked a surprise trip for me and the kids for Feb 22-March 1! Now I'm trying to pick parks and FP ASAP. I always used to use tour guide mike and can't remember what site I used last trip to figure out park days. Do you guys have a favorite or one that seems to be more reliable?

I've always used the undercover tourist app & that has worked well for me as far as crowd level forecasting goes.

Thanks! I had the phone interview last week and it went well. At the end, she told me I'd hear from them this week to set up an in-person interview. They seem very keen on having me, as they've already asked for salary requirements, which she said they don't usually do until later down the road, and that she hadn't asked the other applicants. I hope that's a good sign! I was also told I have much more experience in the industry, so that's always a plus too. I hope I hear something soon.... I want to have it settled before we leave, even if I have to come back to this job for a week or two after, or even if I don't get offered the other job, it'll at least have been decided, and not still up in the air, you know? And if I get the job, then it'll just be another thing to celebrate at WDW!!

I thought I might bring some jeans, but you know, it was in the 50's here this past weekend and we were running around with jeans and long sleeves, so 60's or 70's might mean it's dresses and skirts for me and DD! (DH wears jeans no matter what.) Guess we have that "winter skin" built up.

I'll pack a few dresses/skirts, but will be sure to have leggings packed too. Since we're driving this time, it's more a matter of convenience rather than space. I'm already planning to bring 3 or 4 pairs of shoes! ha!

Fellow early February visitors: Is it just me, or do you see posts were people are saying that right now (which should be a very low crowd time I think) crowds are much larger than those being predicted by various sources. Anyone concerned that the crowds are going to be bigger than normal during the time we're going (which is well before the President's Day craziness starts.)

I cant speak for everyone and being that I am doing a solo trip I feel as thou no matter the crowd level hopefully it wont affect me. With that said,I have been keeping an eye on the some of the wait times for the rides and that is what scares me. Look at Peter Pan, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and even Astro Orbiter. They are all currently 50 plus minutes wait times. Ouch! Most the rides at MK today are all almost 40 minutes and above. Over at Epcot, test track and Soarin are at 70 minutes. That could put a wrench in not only many my plans but many others especially with this new FP system.

I am not sure about most of you, but I refuse to be handcuffed to the fnew ast passes system. I will not let something like this disrupt my trip or fun. I have been reading that some of the fast passes lines have been nuts. Not sure where I read it but ppl were on FP for Space Mountain for over 2 hours. If that is me, it is not worth it, I am stepping out. I also think people realize that this is the cheapest time of year to hit Disney. So they are taking advantage of it and lets not forget, one more key ingredient here. I am not sure where many of you are from but I'm from NJ and spending 10 days away from this lousy weather in sunny Florida sure sounds like a better option at this juncture.

I know this past weekend was a bit on the higher side because many kids had a 4 day weekend for the MLK holiday. Wait times do seem a bit higher today than they were this time last week - maybe there are a few more people extending the weekend?
I'm not too worried about it. There are going to be some crowds, but this is the lowest crowd season we've ever been (we've been during spring break time and summer), so for us it will be relatively light.
