*****Official February 2015 Thread! Come check in and chat!*****

Which shuttle company did you use from SNA that was only $30? It's only me and my daughter in May, and with Disneyland Resort Express, she rides free, which means $35 round trip for me, but I've read HORRIBLE reviews!

I can't remember if we used SuperShuttle or Karmel...or maybe we have used both on different trips?

It was $30 each way, not $30 round trip for the 3 of us from SNA to the hotel. You can always get coupon codes for the shuttles on the Anaheim OC site, just go to the drop down menu and pick Transportation to filter.

Oooh if they have $49 to Phoenix in Nov we might fly instead if driving! Honestly by the time we get to the airport, wait, fly, etc... We only save an hour or so by flying, but it feels like so much more! The best I ever got was $29 each way. I have a feeling I won't see that fare again!
Only $29? Awesome! How long ago was that? Did you have to fly with the cargo? Lol ;)

No, there is no way to get it cheaper. It's all about convenience and service. I've used the DLE many times, mostly when my son still needed to be in a rear facing car seat, it was easier to use DLE and travel without one. We just hopped on and hopped off the bus (mind you we always stay at the DLH so we have never had to transfer buses) Now that my son is older and can use a booster, I've used Lanky's the last couple trips. Great customer service, no waiting at the airport for a shuttle, a quick grocery stop. For my solo trip I've booked them as well. Again it's a convenience thing. I could take the DLE or a taxi but I figure I'm on vacation and I can afford it so why not.

Did you use Lansky's car seats or drag your own? We will be going in a year and would need one ff harness and one high back booster. Curious with experiences!

I'm in Australia and I emailed Von's to see if I could place an order (staying at Disneyland Hotel), they said my credit card needs to have a U.S. address.

You might be able to buy a visa/mastercard/amex gift card. I got one last year and had to manually enter/create a billing address. Maybe you could enter the hotel as the billing address? Just a thought.

There's a review on Yelp about their experiences with car seats and Lansky's in Nov. Seats were not appropriate for their ages of kids and not installed correctly, they complained and had more appropriate seats on the way back but they were expired. Apparently Lansky's heard them and changed their stance on car seats though so who knows what it is now.

This is what they have under services now -

Provide 5 point front/rear toddler car seat or booster seat - please note that the passenger is responsible for the installation of the provided car seat however the driver may assist the passenger. Upon request, we will provide you with the make and model of the car seat that will be provided to you. (we do not provide infant car seats. please bring your own). Valid and current convertible car seats abd booster seats are available upon request at free of charge. Subject to availability. Child seats expire 5-6 years from manufacture date.

The Castle doesn't look too bad like that. I missed the photos of it covered earlier in the thread can someone either repost it or tell me what page??

On our last trip I brought oatmeal packets and ran the coffee maker for hot water to make the oatmeal. I also used plastic cups rather than bowls since those were easy to pack.

We brought a ton of food with us last time and we didn't really eat it. We ended up buying food at the parks or in DTD. Not full meals mind you but random snack foods. I think we averaged about 1 full meal per day. So this trip we know we will probably end up doing the same thing and aren't going to bring as much food.

Thank you! We would most definitely be installing them ourselves anyway, and calling ahead for the brand is a good idea.

Sorry for the late notice, but can you add us to your list .We arrive Jan 31st -
Feb 7th and staying at BW stovalls . Thanks

I used theirs but I only needed 2 boosters (one for my son and one for my nephew). Both were fine, no issues, I checked expiry dates and installed myself.

However I should add that when my son was ff harnessed we still took DLE (if we weren't renting a car and going to San Diego too, in which case I always brought my car seat) it wasn't until he met the requirement for the booster that we started using Lansky.

Hmmm just using plastic cups is a great idea! I'll need to mention that to the hubby!

I'm a little disappointed this morning! I went to the Von's website to start putting my order together and a bunch of the items I used to use to bump up my order $ to the $50 minimum are not available anymore! I would buy sunscreen and razor blades but neither of them are available, at least not the kind I like. :(

I might have to re-think my order. I would just make a stop at Target or Wal-mart to get a few things but we don't land until 9:20 pm and I don't really want to mess around with shopping at that hour.

Really, all I really want is a flat or water!

I'm not sure how long the tarp is up but with the exception of the planned Jan 26 - Feb 5 closure to remove the holiday overlay, the ride is still open while the exterior painting is being done.

We have good timing... we arrive Feb 6!

The Vons website changes to reflect the new weekly prices and selection of merchandise every Wednesday, which is what happens in the actual stores too. So, when this happens, a lot of times there are certain items that were in abundance in the store during the previous weeks' sales, and then all of a sudden there is supposedly none of that item in stock.

What could also happen -- and this is the most likely scenario -- is that the website will show that an item is no longer available, but that item may actually be available at the physical store location and just unavailable to online orders only. I've experienced that a lot with Vons deliveries -- where the website says something is not available, but I find out later that it was actually available on the store shelves (the drivers will even tell me that they saw the item in the store). Or, the website could accurately state that an item is not available one day, and it might not be there on that day -- but the next day the item is there and the website is not updated until the following Wednesday or something.
