*****Official February 2015 Thread! Come check in and chat!*****

Hi, can you tell me, do you get to book certain tables or is it pot luck and also do you know is it a good view from any table? I am not able to ring and book, I can only do it online.

Ta

I didn't ask for a table. I was more worried about the special diet for my daughter. Maybe I should call back and put in a request.

In going through this thread, I don't think that this question was ever answered.

You cannot book specific tables at Blue Bayou but if you get there before your reservation time and ask for a waterside seat, you should be able to get one if you are prepared to wait. Last time we went, we showed up 20 minutes before our reservation and waited an extra 20 minutes.

As for views from the table, I'm not sure if you mean views of POTC or F! but since BB is inside, there are no views of F! from the restaurant. The best seats at BB are the waterside seats and in my opinion, we worth getting there early and waiting for.

Right now, flightcentre.ca has the following prices, in CAD$
5 day hoppers Adult $321.00
Child $304
Total for 3 of us $946.00

way.com
Adult (converted using Bank of Canada) $331.43
Child $308.17
Total for 3 of us $971.03

orbitz via ebates.ca (current cash back 3.75%)
Adult (converted using Bank of Canada) $336.08
Child $318.63
Total for 3 of us minus cash back $953.64

Update about ebates.ca, they are now offering 7.5% cash back for activities on orbitz.com so the numbers are now better for getting the tickets there instead of Flightcentre.ca just in case any other Canadians were still looking for better deals. I think I might just buy ours now.

orbitz via ebates.ca (current cash back 7.50%)
Adult (converted using Bank of Canada) $336.14
Child $318.69
Total for 3 of us minus cash back $916.64

Hi!

You can add me!

I'll be taking a solo trip Feb 24-Mar 1 staying at the GCH.

This will be my first solo trip, but I can hardly wait. (my last 6 trips were with my now 5 year old son) All my time won't be spent at Disneyland as I plan to spend some time checking out the Hello Kitty exhibit at the JANM, shopping for clothes at Pin Up Girl and Tatyana Boutique and fabric shopping (Mood here I come!)

I'm also going to check out the Dapper Day Expo and participate Dapper Day on the 1st. (I'm a lover of vintage culture) Oh and I plan on booking a couple tours (check out some things I've never seen/done before)

Anyway, Hello all!

For those still looking for a place to stay in February, I saw this on HOJO's FB page today. These are great rates. They are cheaper than Park Vue for our nights but we are sticking with Park Vue for the breakfast. Hope someone can jump on this.

Thanks Aladora for all that info, I have since been told that with the fantasmic meal package you eat then come back later that evening for the show, not eat and watch the show at the same time which was what I thought it was - hence the veiw question, total newbie here

But you have answered my other question regarding table selection, we will be sure to turn up early to request water side seats

Anyway, Hello all!
Hi! Sounds awesome! I took a girlfriend trip last year where my traveling buddy had to go home unexpectedly early. I was meeting with other friends, but had a few hours alone here and there- it was awesome! I wanted to see Carsland getting lit up, no problem. I wanted a last minute spot for the parade, easy. I would love to do a few whole days sometime!

The flightcentre.ca rates are only good until first use on or before January 1, 2015, according to their website. I just called and she said to go into a flight centre location and they would ensure the tickets purchased there will be valid for our dates. I think I will go in either next week or the week after. Still holding out hope for some discounted tickets like I got last time I went in February (9 years ago lol).

Aladora, you can also update my hotel on the first page. We decided on GCH! :yay:

My pleasure, sorry it took so long to answer!

Good to know about the flightcentre.ca tickets, as of right now with the increased % through ebates, it looks like orbitz is a better deal.

I've also updated your hotel info!

So TouingPlans have updated their refurb list (anyone know how often they do that?) and they have the Pacific Warf Café closed from January 5- February 5. Originally they had it listed as being closed well into March. Neither DL links that were posted in the castle refurb thread show this as being closed. Wouldn't the DL site have it on there if it was in fact being closed for refurb?

How reliable is TouringPlans? They don't have the castle or the train on there either. Just not sure what information to believe.

Don't know about touringPlans but two different things on these Disneyland calendars -

As at the 8/2/2015 this link has the castle open all through the start of Feb
https://disneyland.disney.go.com/attractions/

As at the 7/2/2015 this link (right down the bottom) has it closed all through the start of Feb
https://disneyland.disney.go.com/ca/calendar/#/default/2015/02/06-

So as to which one to trust - Who knows...

Hi. We're also heading to DL in February. We'll be there Feb 1- 7. Staying at DL Hotel for two nights (1, 2), and GCH for four nights (3-6). I really loved the deal that Disney was running with 25% off your hotel stays, and we booked through Orbitz for an additional 20% a few weeks ago! Still need to purchase our park tickets throught Orbitz sometime soon.

We went this exact same week last year with our two kids, DS6 and DD4 (current ages). We told the kids about our return trip Christmas morning, and we're all very excited!

I've been watching the closures list closely. I do remember there were a few things listed last year, and the closer we got to our departure date a couple of rides fell off the refurb list (alice and something else). Hoping the same for a few things this year, even though I know the longer list is in prep for the anniversary. I've been reading this thread for a while before finally joining, and I sympathize with everyone who is sad about potential closures. It's tough! We missed IASW, BTMRR, Nemo, Splash, and Fantasmic last year (and several others!). Looks like we'll catch IASW on our last day this trip! I'm pretty devastated looking at the current list. But, coming from someone who went the same time last year, we still enjoyed every bit of our days at Disney!

We loved the lighter crowds, the weather was great - it only rained one morning last year, and we were still able to enjoy swimming (cold-ish, but still swimmable) at the hotel pools. Hoping for more of the same this year!

What kind of temp did you have last year?

We will also be there during dapper days & also have been watching calendars closely. Right now I'm really hoping that the trains are done, castle does not get covered & Peter Pan is done--heres hoping! pixiedust:

Its going to be a bit busier than we had chosen (honestly didn't know about dapper days when we booked). Since then have found out DCA will also be a bit fuller too since cheer compition & City Race going on that weekend. But still very excited & I think it will be fun to see everyone dressed up in Dapper.:thumbsup2

I'm going again I believe feb 10-12. With my son who's 2.5 and possibly my mom. Just it back we went dec 21-22. Air flights seem cheap and hotels with annual pass and my Disney visa seem too good to be true. I just upgraded my tickets to a pass when I was there. I love Disney. We've been twice this yr already.
