Official February 2014 Thread...

Well-I booked all my ADRs this morning! :cool1:

First time doing this, first time trip - so I was expecting something to go wrong. Had TONS of issues with the website, server busy (lots), couldn't find the reservation (lots), but after a few tries I got ALL of them (not all the times I wanted but I took what was available). Yippee!

When I called later for BBB I was able to change the times of my breakfast reservations to before park opening too - so I'm ecstatic! :cheer2:

One question - though I guess it doesn't matter for me anymore. I saw it suggested elsewhere that if a table isn't available for the number in your party to try and even number - I did that (i.e. 4) but then it wanted me to input the fourth person's name. I ended up hitting back and searching for 3 and it popped up - but I was wondering how people reserve for 4 when there's no fourth person?

Oh well - SO excited! I was so stressed about not getting the reservations, now I can relax for six months. :rolleyes1

When I did it last February I could just bypass adding a name and it just stayed as guest.

My ADR day is 11 days away and I getting pretty excited! We've never really done table service before so it's a new experience for me! We're going to try for a 7-7:30 Chef Mickey breakfast on my niece's second birthday and a dinner at 50's Prime Time on our HS day. My sister and BIL are also going to try for an 'Ohana dinner on one of our Epcot days. I'm not as interested, so I'm probably going to let them have a date night while my niece and I explore the Poly and other monorail resorts. But I may change my mind and decide to spend the money on 'Ohana if we get a FD PIN or SPD (we're staying at Pop so we'd have QS dining).

Anything we should know as 50's Prime Time newbies? I don't think any of us will really be bothered by the "teasing."

I tried - but I got an error message that I had to input the information for the fourth guest. Maybe it's something new? :scratchin

I think it is part of their effort to stop double booking by guests and then no showing. It is also why all character meals and fantasmic pkgs have to be held against a credit card now. Apparently there were issues with people double and triple booking and no showing, it cost Disney revenue and kept walk ups and even 180 bookers from being able to get reservations. Personally, while not everyone wants to give their guest info it makes me glad from the stand point it gets rid of double bookers keeping more reservations open for everyone.

Sounds like some great ADR plans cfriend! We are also trying Ohana for first time this trip - have heard both positives and negatives however - prefer to find out for ourselves. Prime Time - we went once many years ago and it has now become a family favorite. The teasing is fun and all good natured - it will vary depending on the CM's - we have never had a bad experience. We have always enjoyed the food. Last trip I got the sampler and it was SO good. I really loved the collard greens - being from New England I am more of a clam chowda kinda person but those collard greens were excellent and even though I have tried to find and copy this recipe I have not been successful. Oh well - sorry about the :offtopic: rant but couldn't help myself :flower3:

Enjoy!!

:confused3So for this trip, I decided, to not use a TA and just book it myself. I know what I am doing right? :thumbsup2

OH, the WDW website will be the death of me. I got my ADR's. Still waiting to see if I can get the dessert party, but I know last time that did not populate until fairly close to trip time, no biggie.

Went on today to make a payment, got kicked out mid-payment. So, I logged back in and it let me make my payment. Seems it took both payments :scared: I guess the bonus is, I have less to pay in the future, but man, I had not budgeted for such a big payment this month.

So, I guess I brown bag lunch for the next few weeks and maybe cut back on the soda and drink more water (which I need to do anyway).

I figured it would be nice to be able to log on make a payment and log off. Last time I called, I was on hold for 20 minutes and didnt really want to deal with that everytime I made a payment, but that 20 minutes would have saved me a ton of money this month. :lmao:

I guess the grand scheme of things, if thats the worse that happens to me today, so be it.

Hope everyone's plans are going smoothly!!

I've never had collar greens (I'm a new Englander too), and I probably won't risk trying them at WDW. Wouldn't want to spoil an otherwise delicious meal if I don't like them! The meatloaf and pot pie both sound good though. I can't wait to make the ADR! 9 days to go!

Wishing all a good trip. Saw the crowd estimates for the weekend of the 21st (7s and 8s) and decided to move trip to the end of January. Had my heart set on spending my daughters actual bday in the world but the anticipated crowds are enough to scare us away. Figure she's just gonna be 3 so she won't know anyway. I'll have to tell the next baby to be sure not to be born around a holiday or marathon weekend ; )

You do know that just by actually saying those words the next will be born smack dab ON a holiday :)

Hi all, hope you have room for another! We're heading down from Feb 4th to 12th. We'll be staying offsite so I haven't booked that yet. Flights are booked though!

It will be our 3rd time going, but first time without extended family. I'm really looking forward to doing what we want, on our schedule. :)

I will be in Orlando from February 23rd to March 9th. It will be my second Solotrip and this time I will plan much more activities in advance like visit Cirque du Soleil and a trip to the Kennedy Space Center and take some tours like Behind the seeds. I really can't hardly wait. I haven't been in the USA since 2010 and I love the country.

I don't want to spent all the time alone, maybe I find some people to join which are also going solo.

If you are going this month apparently they are no parades except MSEP according to other threads. .

EasyWDW lists the Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade and Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade as well.

I also heard some rumors that there are no parades at that time.

What is worse is that Blizzard Beach will be closed. I didn't dare to go on Summit Plummet in 2010 and wanted to do it this time.

So excited! My TA was able to get almost all of the ADRs I wanted! She couldn't get an ADR For T-Rex for the whole trip, but I called and was able to get an opening for our arrival day. Yay! She was able to get BOG for us so I'm really excited about that! The only thing is she got 8:45 for TH and AK opens 9 that day. I'm hoping maybe she can get us an earlier reservation that day. She said that transportation only starts at 8 but I thought it started earlier.

I'm pretty sure the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade won't be operating in February. Disney is changing the parade in MK and it looks like there won't be any parade at all during February.

We arrive on Valentines Day and leave on February 23. Yesterday was my ADR day. I was able to get everything I wanted, including BOG and CRT, but I had to call. Bothe the MDE app and website gave me all sorts of problems. First I had no reservations, sign out, sign in, then reservations there but +10 greyed out. I tried on 3 devices before I was able to call. So happy they are all set and all I'm waiting for is the Wishes Dessert Party.
