Official February 2014 Thread...

A Feb thread! :dance3:

We will be going 2/3/14 through 2/14/14, staying at POFQ.

It will be DBF and I. His first trip out to WDW.

I have my tentative schedule going, but really want to eat at BOG, so its all up in the air untill I can see about getting a reservation there.

How exciting that you'll be at WDW for Valentine's day with your DBF AND it's his first trip!! :woohoo: I just went with my DBF in October for our 3year dating anniversary and it was HIS first trip too!! I am always so amazed at all the people who haven't had the pleasure of visiting WDW before becoming adults haha! I'm sure you guys will have a fabulous time. At least your 180 day ADR window is coming up soon so you can figure out BOG! (Mine is August 24th for my trip which starts on Feb 20th)
Happy planning! :)

Yay!!! I would love an AoA suite but I'm so surprised at the prices. Too much for us I think. I checked out JetBlue and the prices were outrageous. This morning I checked SWA and the prices were great!!! I wasn't going to book flights for a couple of months though. Do you think the prices will go up? We don't fly a lot so I'm not sure about all this.

Prices at AoA are def more than I'm willing to pay right now. Think we r going to get annual passes when we go in Sep (it's cheaper then getting fix again in feb) so we r hoping for a good ap discount.

I would think prices would only come down as it is so early. Most airlines will likely run a few specials between now and feb. Be sure to sign up for the airlines emails so you know when they have sales. You can also do a fare watch email in Travelocity that can track flight prices as they fluctuate $25 in either direction.

We are getting PAP's (as we live in SoCal and have DLR AP's) our trip in Feb. We are also going to WDW in November for the W&D 1/2. Which hopefully we will be able to use a discount for the hotel then. I *really* would like to stay at Boardwalk, and can't think of a better time to stay there.

Have a great day everyone!!

Sorry if you saw this on the other 2014 thread..

:offtopic:

I just had to share.. I was on BuzzFeed today and they have a list that is called "Things no one Tells you about Walt Disney World Vacations".

I had a major giggle, as Item 10, the picture they used is my son and his friends from a couple of years ago. My kiddo is the one in the back right with the glasses. Course he is 21 so not really a kiddo. :scared1:

Back to our regularly scheduled program..

Does Disney really not care about taking pictures of ride photos?

Honestly, I think they do. However, they dont stop anyone from taking a picture of the picture.

I think that is why more and more of them are included with the Photopass.

The last time I bought a ride photo, it was my first time on Dinosuar and I looked petrified. It was so funny, I had to have it. That was on top of preordering the photopass CD.

We are planning a trip for Jan 31-Feb 6. It is my first to plan. I am trying to plan our ADR's. I particularly want to try to get O'hana for Wishes fireworks. Since the calendar is not out yet I can't figure out what time to schedule for. Am I missing something super obvious? My 180 day mark is Aug 4 so I do have few days, but would like to have some time to plan park days and such. Thanks so much

How fun!

The calandar is not out yet. Typically you can look at the previous years schedule (2013) and it will be fairly similar the following year (2014).

Had to take a look at the article/photo. That is hilarious that of all the ride photos out there they found the one of your son. It's probably not intended but the article is pretty funny as well.

Hi All! Just popped in to see if a February 2014 thread had been started and here you guys are!! :lovestruc

We'll be going President's Day Week staying at the Villas at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We're so excited to have a Savannah view. Not sure we'll ever make it to the parks!!! I look forward to planning with you guys. :yay:

We will be doing a 4 day Disney cruise on Feb 2, followed by just a short 3 day stay at Disney at the Beach Club on Feb 6. I get to check off another of the hotels that I have not stayed at before. Very excited, now to decide dining reservations, etc.

We r headed down the same day as u and I hadn't done the 180 day math yet so thanks!

No problem! :goodvibes It was the second thing I figured out after deciding to go on the trip! (The first thing was where to stay!)

I'm struggling a bit with which ADRs to book for this trip though because I'm not 100% sure yet who will be going with me (either my dad or boyfriend), and I might even end up going solo, which would be fine, but might affect some of my dining choices. My dad is much more open to 'exotic' and 'fancy' dining experiences (ie. Sanaa, 1900 Park Fare, 'Ohana) while DBF is a lot less adventurous (ie. Plaza, Tony's, Rainforest Cafe). And ALSO depending on who's coming, my trip will either be 6 days or 10 days, so there are just so many complications!! The only one that will be for sure no matter WHAT is of course Be Our Guest! :thumbsup2

I will keep my fingers crossed for BOG for you and everyone else. pixiedust:

I am still bummed that the WDW website does not have the 180+10 working. On another thread someone stated they were having to go in day by day to make their ADR's. I guess that extends the fun a bit?

I told DBF, that while I have a tentative plan for dining, it can all change and probably will. My best friend told him to just hold on and let me do all the planning and that I will probably change my mind several times before the trip. (she should know, I put her through this with our trip in 11/2012). However, I think I am pretty set on the dining, just not on which days. We are trying a ton of places I have not been before. I think after this trip, there will only be 1 or 2 places in Epcot I have not eaten at. DBF thinks that Epcot is just all about food at the moment. I cant wait to get him on Test Track and Mission Space!!

Hope everyone is doing good and having a great day!

Since this is The Official February 2014 page is there a cumulative list of who is going when and where they are staying?

Wohoo! I get to join this thread. I booked our February trip this weekend. We are headed to Disney Feb. 1-8 at POR. I'm so excited! Can't wait to make a few ADR's next week!

We loved February this year, so we have already booked to go back again in February 2014. We are booked for feb 7th-17th but we are thinking of hitting universal the last three days.

I'm looking forward to making ADRs soon as well!

Count us in! We'll be at Pop from 2 to 12 Feb. It'll be just me and my bestfriend. Leaving my husband and son at home this time. Eek! Girl trip! We'll be coming all the way from Jakarta, Indonesia :)
