Official February 2014 Dapper Day planning thread

6 months isn't too early to start planning, is it?

Who's going, where are you staying, what's your plan for the week/weekend?

The wife, our 3 daughters, and I will be cruising in late Friday night (leave Phoenix as soon as the oldest daughter's school day ends). Will be staying at the Grand Friday and Saturday nights (2/21-2/22), and leaving Sunday afternoon for a return drive back to Phoenix.

Really looking forward to this. Love vintage attire, and can't wait to do an early spring trip as we've never been at that time of the year. Hopefully meet some fellow Disers there.

The board members planning any sort of meet up and group pic opportunity?

Short trip, lots to cram in. Any suggestions/pitfalls to look out for when doing Disney Dapperly?

We are going for Dapper Day. I make my kids special clothes for Dland anyways so making something for Dapper Day is going to be FUN!! We are staying at the DLH from Monday to Sunday!!

The gang and I will be there again! That would be me, tinkcollector, disneyluvr2, and lcasa. We had a blast this month at Dapper Day and someone even posted a picture on Instagram of us from the back, looking over the balcony on our floor at the Grand into the lobby below.

This time, we plan to stay at DLH. We're already looking at ideas for outfits, LOL.

ETA: Pitfalls to look out for when dressing dapperly is to be careful about shoes. Go for comfort!

Love Love Love this picture. You ladies look so Dapper lady like. I some how got my days mixed up and thought Sat the 7th not Friday the 6th so I traveled the 6th getting in to GC after 8 pm. I am going to Be at Disney in Feb with the Disney Diva's missing DD by one Day . I hope there is a Sept DD event again in 2014. It would be so cool to have everyone in the parks and around Disney dressed in the DD spirit. I missed seeing you ladies dressed in your finest . I did follow along on your thread though. I am wondering how the make-up session at Disney went. Again Love the dresses.

The Dapper Syling Salon was so much fun!!! Tinkcollecter did the full hair and makeup and the rest of us did lashes and liner. They applied fake lashes and did liner, and even added a little extra makeup on some of us. Everyone was so nice! Totally worth it! I already have one dress for Feb Dapper Day. We heard from Justin, the head Dapper guy, that they are hoping to make it a weekend event in Feb. I can't wait!!

We're planning on being there. Don't know which hotel yet... still working on that. Working on outfits, too. Hoping that the weather cooperates in Feb. -- no fun melting in nice clothes and shoes!

How far in advance do you have to book the rooms? Does it fill up quickly? I really want to go, but I'm waiting on a few friends. Don't want to put down the deposit and end up not going, but I'm afraid that the rooms are going to be gone...

T-minus 50 days.... Anybody putting together group activities? We are still figuring out where to eat/what to do when. Going to be a whirlwind DLR experience for us. Only 1.75 days in park due to the constrained schedule.

Oooh we already booked long ago, and I am SO glad for that now, because I just looked and for the later dates of the dapper days rate (26th-2nd) rooms look to be all sold out already!

I'll be there 2/22-2/25, staying at the GCH for the first time! Super excited to see everyone all decked out. I've been on the lookout for the perfect outfit!

I'm super excited this has coincided with our dates. Its also just a friend and I, no kids. What kinds of things do you do? We will probably just tour the park, it's my friends first time to Disney, in fact first time overseas! We might book in for lashes and liner, that sounds fun!
