Official DL July 2015 thread

Does anyone know of a July 2015 Disneyland FB group?

I haven't seen any - I am part of a Disneyland 2015 FB group though....Disneyland 2015 - Celebrating 60 Years of Magic!

I've been spending the last week trying to nail down my pre-Disneyland plans. I figure I better do it NOW or I won't be able to snag any hard-to-get reservations. I keep modifying and adjusting my plans though. We are flying into San Jose and have 5 days before Disneyland and want to enjoy the uniqueness of California. The one thing we MUST do is Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks. I'm just trying to figure out what to do before that.

I had originally planned Big Sur but my DH is not looking forward to all the endless driving on twisty roads so we will just do Point Lobos this trip. The currenbt plan (which continues to evolve) is to stop into Henry Cowell Redwoods Park (for me to do a short walkthrough of the redwoods) and the Mystery Spot next door. This detour will only be an extra half hour driving. Then dinner in Cannery Row, Monterey. The next day, we'll spend the morning in Point Lobos State Reserve then drive to Fresno where we will stay the night. From Fresno, on to Seqouia/Kings Canyon to spend a couple of nights.

Anyone else visiting other places in California? What are you all doing?

We're starting in San Fransisco...probably for 2 or 3 days. Not sure what we're doing yet. I'd love to see the Disney museum, but I don't think my husband will go for it. Adding SF was part of the deal to add DL (after just taking him to DW this past year....I used to go every year before him, sigh :) )

After that we have a weekend in Monterey for my best friend's wedding!!! Then driving down to Disney and home from there.

This is our 15th anniversary trip, and are travelling from the east coast of Canada, so our plan is to drive to Ontario to see a Blue Jay Red Sox game and visit relatives near Toronto, then to the nations capital Ottawa for Canada Day, then Edmonton, Calgary and Banff for 2 weeks, followed by a 2 day train tour through the Rockies. A few days in Vancouver before flying to LA, with the San Diego Zoo, Warner Bros Studio, DL/CA in the plans. Finally since we have often been to the Atlantic Ocean, dipping our toes in the Pacific is a must. I think Huntington Beach or Seal Beach, but we are strongly considering going to Long Beach to see the Queen Mary.

WOW - sounds like an epic trip!!

That's too bad. The Disney Museum is really neat! You know, you can go to the museum for a couple hours and then walk from there up to the GG bridge. We went part way last time we went to the museum. We ran out of time to go all the way, we had to get home.

Walking across the bridge is really fun. You can also visit Fort Point under the bridge. It's really interesting, and you'll probably recognize the area from many movies and commercials that have filmed there.

:donald:Not sure if my other post is still on this July thread...but...
My daughter has dance nationals near disneyland...so we bought annual passes!!!
We will be staying at the CCI July 5-14th.
So excited!!!:tigger:

Okay, I am only posting this to bump the thread up to the front, and to watch my timer counting down! I love that timer counting down!

Good call. I like mine too. For planning purposes, I made a google doc with all the height requirements for our little ones and pregnancy restrictions for me. Since I don't know DCA, it was helpful to me. Next will be ADRs!

Congo Queen family is going July 7th to 11th. It will be an especially memorable trip b/c it is our last family summer Dland visit with our son before he moves away to college. He has visited Dland with us pretty much once a year since he was 2. So many memories. We are going to have to think of something special to do to commemorate this special transition. Maybe I will call the DLH people and get the room decorated or something like that.

What a great idea, you should post that info for other disboarders! The info is out there but to have it all in one place would be great too!

Alicat, as the original poster for this thread, would you be willing to make it the Official July 2015 DLR/DCA thread? I would be more than happy to help post info regarding July events as they become available......Then I go to the main forum page instead of accessing through my alerts page, and notice that it has already been done! Thank God I use Peppermint Foot Lotion for all the times I put my foot in my mouth!

Right now I'm trying to decide if we want to do the BB or RBT Fantasmic! Dining. I can't decide! I know we want to do the Carthay Circle WOC lunch since we love that.
Also, this is my first time back to DLR with my new seafood allergy so everywhere I know I love to eat is now in question. :(

We'll be there July 26th through the 31st. This is our first time ever to California and Disneyland is a must do!!!

Yes I will-I'll get on it later tonight when the little one is in bed! I kept meaning to, and then we kinda died down for a while. But now we're in the home stretch!

Alicat, I am at your beck and call for assisting if you need any help, just message me!
