Official Disneyland ½ Marathon & 5k

Hello, wanted to join the thread - I registered last week for the half. This will be my first race beyond an occassional fun run 5k, thought I would make it a good one!

Looking forward to checking out the remodeled DLH. We stayed at the GC last winter for my son's birthday and loved it but think he will enjoy the pool area at DLH.

Congrats on registering- you will loving a runDisney half! We are also staying in the DLH. The renovations/two large hot tubs helped us make our decision to stay there as well as being so close to the action.

I just registered for this race and I'm going for the C2C medal too!My cousin and his wife have a timeshare right across from DL and their grandson works at DL, so how could I pass this up??? I'm also planning on participating in the W&D half in Nov.

Has anyone done the pasta party. I saw the price of 89 if you had a ticket for the theme park. It is pretty expensive in my opinion for dinner and character greets. Is there something else that I am missing?

We'll be running our first half marathon ever, too! We went to DL this weekend and were inspired by all the Tinkerbell runners, so DH and I just registered.

We aren't "runners" now, but we both are former athletes. Actually, we both ran cross country in high school... I guess we'll be starting training soon!

We have a 3 year old and a 2 year old; are the kids races worth it? I am still on the fence about signing them up for the price.

I don't have any kids, but I saw a lot of them wearing their medals and shirts on Saturday and they looked like they had a lot of fun. Plus the added attention from all the CMs. I talked to parents if I was in line near them and they all said that the kids had an absolute blast and loved it.

So no more expo/non-active fee discount! Don't if they did the online/computer reg during the marathon weekend, but that's what they had set up this past weekend. I'm now officially in for the 1/2, now just waiting a little bit for the 5k. Got back last night and I can't wait to go back down there!!

Jumping in this thread as well! I finished my first half ever this past weekend with the Tinkerbell and I'm very excited to go back down for the Disneyland Half!

as of yesterday the half marathon was at 62% full and the 5k was 51%

Just saw that. I wonder how long it will take to get to 100%. I am glad I am all signed up, got a room, and plane ticket. Just have to show up and be ready.

I know last year, I signed up March 6th and registration closed shortly after that. The Disneyland half seems to sell out pretty fast every year. And the addition of the Tinkerbell doesn't seem to have helped.

Hello! I just finished Tinkerbell and registered for DL Half tonight I am local to DL and my hubs and I have been wanting to do the DL half since it started, but for one reason or another we always miss it. I just registered us tonight and I'm *hoping* we can do the Wine and Dine half for the C2C metal. We are DL APs, but have never been to WDW and are hoping to make a vacation out of it

I am also planning on the Wine and Dine in Nov for the coast to coast.

That site says registration is open March 13....and there is a place to sign up for an e-mail reminder.

For all who did the Tink....congrats! I saw the pics and videos and it got me even more fired up!

Thanks! Tink was a blast! I just went back to the Wine and Dine site and didn't see the registration date, maybe my coffee hasn't kicked in yet Would you mind posting the link where you saw the date? I'd like to share it with a few friends.

I have also emailed runDisney to see if they have any idea which resorts will be the "Host" resorts. (Pretty important from what I saw last year with the 5K and watching the half)

So we have decided to do the 5K as a family, but I have a question. If I do the stroller division will my DD and I each get a bib and a medal???
