I'm a little late in sharing the cakes I ordered for my son's and husband's birthday in January. We ordered from the Grand Floridian, to be delivered to Crystal Palace. The process of ordering was very easy, but I would recommend against having a cake delivered to CP. The waiter couldn't find the cake, then, even after I told him one of the cakes was a surprise for my husband, kept talking about the "two cakes" in front of him. He eventually found the cake, but didn't provide candles or do anything really (we celebrated my older son's first birthday there in 2018, and even though we didn't order a cake, they brought out a special dairy free desert for him, with candles and sang happy birthday). I asked him about the candles, and he said they weren't allowed because of fire. So ya, while the cakes were awesome, the experience at CP was really bad.
Cake 1 was a Mini 2 Tier cake with buttercream icing and star wars theme in Chef's choice for $45 + tax. I would recommend against the black icing, because our mouths were all black after eating the cake. It was delicious though.
Cake 2 was a 6" chocolate cake with the grey stuff filling. I talked extensively with Julie about what I wanted, and this is what we came up. The cake was gorgeous, and delicious. It was HUGE though. We ate cake for the remainder of our trip. Something else to consider, if you need to carry your cake around afterwards, I went into the emporium and asked for one of the big bags. The box just fit, and made it a lot easier to carry it around.
