Can you order a cake to be delivered to dinner at CRT or so you have to do the princess package for a cake there?

Yes you can order a cake for CRT. We did this the previous fall. I ordered it through Magic Kingdom Cakes and just explained that I didn't want the standards they offered I wanted a custom cake and it was made through the Contemporary bakery.

Ok tks! I wanted to do that two tier tiny cake for DD and to have it at that dinner would be awesome!

This one?

We had it delivered to our room at Kidani Village. It was very good, but very rich. We had chocolate cake and chocolate filling. We probably ate off of it 3 times and there were 4 of us.
Yes, that is the one. So happy to hear it tasted good! My only concern is our ADR at Coral Reef @ 11:50 is the only ADR we can get this cake. We are a party of 5. Unless I want to carry the rest around EPCOT, it will be a waste of half a cake.:guilty: I had hoped we could get it delivered to CSR, but that is a no. He doesn't want a mini cake because it looks to girly to him. I may scratch the entire idea. I can't find ANY pictures of what CSR could deliver. So frustrated. Thank you for the review!

Just curious, could you arrange to pick this up at Boardwalk Bakery after you were finished at Epcot for the day, and take it back with you to the room? Alternately, and assuming you don't have a car there, you could bus to HS, boat to the Boardwalk, pick up the cake, boat back to HS and bus back to the hotel. Not as good as delivered to your room, but would accomplish having the full cake available to you.

Is there any way to order something other than a standard cake? Like a brownie, or carrot cake? We are going to be at WDW for my DH's birthday and I'd like to do something for him, but he doesn't really care for regular cake. Thanks!

Carrot cake is one of the cake flavor options for all but mini cakes. Alternatively, each of the Deluxe resorts offers its own revolving selection of edible goodies, like chocolate-covered strawberries, truffles, etc. You'd need to call Private Dining to see what's available.

You do not have to order the princess package; you can do a custom cake.

What are the restrictions on phrase or wording for cakes? Trying to come up with a pirate phrase and wondering if they are allowed to just use "Yo Ho Yo Ho, A Pirates Life for Me" or not.

TIA!

There don't seem to be any restrictions on writing outside of, like, obscenities. I've never heard of them refusing to write something on a cake.

I have thought about that. It may be a option if we could have time to hang out after Epcot closing. I wonder how late you can pick up a cake?....oops! Double quote! ! Sorry! !!

Well the size of the cake does limit it, yes. Usually with 6-inch cakes and smaller they write the message on the plate, though.
Thanks for the clarification. I thought I'd read that one of the theme park restaurants (BOG?) had a 6 word max, so wasn't sure if that standard?

On my mini cake they wrote on the plate and with my 6 inch cake they wrote the message on a piece of white chocolate. I was figuring on the white chocolate banner agaun.

Yahoo cake ordered!
Being delivered to the garden grill
8" chocolate cake, dark chocolate mousse filling, chocolate ganache
2D image below with pieces of cheese and a cinderella slipper. Not exactly what I wanted but it will do. They said $70 are there better options out there? Anyone know the tricks of the trade? I preferred to have it more 3 D than 2 D but this will do I think

I feel like this is a really stupid question, but after going back and forth with a couple of chefs at the Contemporary about food allergies I was told to place my order with private dining and mention one of the chef's names when I do. But is private dining the email on the first page wdw.contemporary.cake.order@Disney.com or is that only by phone? I think the last time I did this I only had a phone number for Private Dining.

Thanks!

Help! I need some opinions on where to have my cake. Big dilemma, I know. Lol

We have our reservations made and I got a quote for our cake through the Contemporary and we definitely want to stick with a restaurant that they deliver to. My original plan was to have the cake our very first day. I have a whole pirate day planned out with Pirates League for my 6 year old and I'm bringing costumes/accessories for all 5 of us. We will be doing POTC (hopefully) and watching the Captain Jack Sparrow Tutorial doing the Pirate Adventure activity, etc. And a Pirate themed cake will be presented at lunch that day as a total surprise for my 6 year old. (along with allergy safe pirate treats I'm bringing for my twins)

Now, our current lunch ADR that day is at CP. Which is close to Adventureland at least but not exactly pirate themed. But the staff is always awesome there especially the chefs and we usually start our trips here. BUT CP is one of the very few places my kids have any dessert options and being a buffet we are already paying for dessert in essence. So it kind of seems a bit of a waste to buy a cake for this restaurant in particular.

Our other MK ADRs are LTT and BoG, but not until the end of our trip. I'm thinking of moving my LTT lunch to our "Pirate Day" and having the cake presented there. But having never been I guess I'm just a little unsure.

Has anyone done lunch at LTT, or had a cake there? Do you think it will be a fun place to surprise them with their cake? Am I completely insane and overthinking all of this?

I honestly would do it at CP. I understand what you mean about already paying for dessert but you will still be getting your money's worth and it's already a tradition for you.

I'm am in the process of ordering a cake for my son. I'm stuck trying to figure out what flavor icing and filling options I want. If we do a chocolate cake what filling do you recommend. My son won't like the fruit options. I also don't want it to be to rich.

The cake will have fondant.

I would like to order a cake for our 30th Wedding Anniversary dinner at the end of April. We have a dining reservation at The California Grill on our actual anniversary date, so VERY excited. Who exactly do i call to arrange this?? I had one for our 25th at Citricos but don't remember who or where i called to order it. Thanks lots in advance!!!
