We are still not convinced about the situation with ADRs and the upgraded system. All those we made before the first Oct upgrade still will not show up. When we enter reservation numbers different messages appear-- most often that the reservation can't be found. Calls to WDW-dine assure us that they are in the system. Are there actually 2 systems-- one we access on-line and a different one that the CMs access??? What do you think will happen when we walk up to the podium to check in at the restaurants? If I have a printed copy of the ADR will they honor the ADR even if it doesn't appear in their "system"?

So I can't decide if I'm going to preorder the photopass cd. We always do, but DH didn't want to this time because we aren't going as long and because this is a last minute budget trip.

I guess I worry because our camera doesn't take the greatest pictures at night and I'm worried about character pictures at MVMCP.

I think I might just preorder is anyways and hope he doesn't notice

I bought some stuff at Target yesterday, as they had the 3 in 1 laundry sheets on sale.

Does anyone know if they sometimes extend the MK hours on non-party nights? Last time we were there, in the summer, if MK was scheduled to close at 11PM say, they announced in the morning they'd stay open until 1AM instead (non-EMH) because of crowds or something. I ask because it seems that some non-party nights it is closing kind of early.

I would trade you for Texas weather in a heartbeat. Poor hubby wants to pull down the Christmas decorations today because we finally had a few days out of the 90s. I am making him wait until I have done a thorough cleaning. Uh, later this week, maybe. Silly guy was humming carols this morning. I really do feel bad that he is missing our trip. He so loves Christmas!

I'm graduating from college next weekend so I'm in the midst of trying to get everything organized for that trip. Then we are coming home celebrating my late daughter's 5th birthday (she passed away in 08), then its Thanksgiving, then I get to start packing and such for our trip.

For a slightly technical explanation, there aren't two "systems" - all the ADRs exist in a single database. The CMs, however, have different front-end software (the stuff the user sees) to access that information. It's apparently the front-end that we users see on the web that cannot show the ADRs.

If I put in my e-mail & phone number, I get the message, "We are unable to retrieve dining reservations at this time." I think it's just an issue of the front end being unable to communicate with the database.

Now, I don't know what they'll do if the ADR really doesn't exist in the database. But I'll bet that the vast majority of them do.

We had this same problem, as did many others. I called to confirm that the missing online ADRs were still in the system and the CM was more than happy to check all of them for me. I only had her check the ones I considered most important and I trust that since she was able to pull up all of the reservation numbers I gave her, we should be fine. I did ask and she confirmed that if the restaurant is unable to find my ADR, if I bring a copy of the confirmation email from Disney, the ADR will be honored.

Yeah, but it's Vermont....I LOVE VERMONT! We were there for our honeymoon in Oct 1988. 22 years ago! (and it snowed in Woodstock!)

I love Vermont too, about 3 months out of the year. And it IS a lovely place to visit, but hard to live here (IMO) especially when we get FEET of snow at a time and I still have to get to work!

Don't say that because it means here in MA the snow is just around the corner seems we always get it a few weeks after you do.
