OOOoh! Good to know they show the parade twice daily! When are the times typically?? I already told DH I want to view all parades. I can't remember the last trip we took where we purposely sat and watched a parade (outside of Spectro and MNSSHP parades).

Now I need to figure out where to spend the 1st half of our trip...hubby wants Poly but POFQ is cheaper and a quick boatride to DTD for that easy-access shopping ;) ...decisions decisions... :santa:

I believe at noon and 3pm and then MSEP is at 10, but I will have to check on that one, I really want to see it, but not happy Spectro is gone, that is my favorite.

You can't go wrong with POFQ, it is a quiet, lovely resort and one of our favorite. We love the boat to DTD, it is so peaceful compared to the buses.

anyone have any idea on how much the mickey tree is going to cost?

If I remember correctly the ones from Disney Florist start at $275 and up. Looks like they have one that starts at $169 this year, but it looks like a green plant decorated, not a mini fake tree.

We aren't in our room long enough during Christmas week to decorate, so I'm not going to bother.

My BFF just called me from EPCOT . ...her family got picked as the "family of the day" and got escorted to the Living Seas pavillion, fast passes for every attraction and were escorted around the park for the first hour by FOUR cast members! They were escorted into Turtle Talk through a private entrance and given priority seating and then they were given priority special seating for Illuminations for this evening! Isn't that cool???? :cool1::cool1:

Flying in Saturday the 18th and flying home Saturday the 25th. A grand gathering with my family of 4, my brother & his girls, my mom, and hopefully my grandparents...13 in all staying at SSR.
I've never been to WDW for Christmas and the closer it gets, the more excited I am getting! :yay:
Hope to see some fellow DISers there!

Sounds awesome!!:)

How do you get chosen for this? Sounds awesome!!:)

I asked BFF the same thing! She said that they were just standing at the front of the line heading into FW toward Soarin' and talking to the CM's. One of the CM's asked if they would like to come with her....and when they did, the CM said they had been chosen as the Family of the Day. BFF is famous for chatting up the CM's--it's one of her favorite activities at Disney.

That's so awesome! I'm interested in seeing the Cm's reaction to hubby man. I call him my Chatty-Kathy. :lmao:

I went ahead and booked POFQ...we havent stayed there in years and we love how quaint it is...also the boat ride to DTD is a big deal to us too :santa:

Ok, is anyone else getting 'HOLY CRAP" moments? I'll explain: I've been playing around with RideMax trying to get some of our touring plans down and some I'm doing myself since they don't support EMH's. Looking at everything, I'm going HOLY CRAP?! can we really do all this? I know we are there 8 days, but still. Anyway, thanks for letting me get that off my chest. :thanks:

Has anyone ever worked with the Disney Florist before? I know when DH and I went in March DH ordered us a basket but he just did a stock order. I am wanting to maybe get my kids something delivered.

I like the idea of the Mickey ear hats and the Christmas goodies but I don't need the autograph books and the pens. I think the light up lanyard would be more their speed. Plus I would rather have Christmas ears since they already have the plain ones. Are they willing to customize or do you think I should call one of the other people who put together baskets.

I have used the Disney Florist 4-5 times but nearly always picked something from the website... I have made small changes, like I added some princess items to the 'He be a Pirate' basket - made it a "pirate & princess" gift! princess: pirate:

I think they can make changes to the gifts like you want to... give them a call and see what they say :wizard: I've always found them to be really helpful Cast Members at DF!

Emma princess: x

86 days to go :santa:

or should we call him "Chatty Kevin"? Or "Gabby Gabe?" Hopefully he doesn't wear dresses or anything! :rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Well, now I have a name for them.

Just visited DisneyMom's to see if anything new was there about Hacienda de San Angel.... read the info about the current Disney Mom's recruitment and wondered what others thought about being a Disney Mom??????

Hi! I actually used this lady.... http://www.memoriesbybetsy.com/mbb/index.php she's very nice and much more resonably priced than Disney Florist. I told her exactly what I wanted from the parks and the Disney website and she created the basket and sent me a pic of it several weeks in advance. I wanted the castle blanket from the Disney parks site to be added to my son's basket..... I ordered the blanket with my son's name embroidered on it and had it shipped to her and then she just added it to his gift basket. It was great and so easy..... I think I'm going to do this again this Dec.! :santa: HTH! Thanks, April

I actually would love to be a disney mom but had heard it was very difficult to get selected.

I wanted to buy the RideMax program but I'm still more than 6 weeks out and it doesn't make sense for me to get it yet. Does it put the times for rides down on your plan?

I bought the 1 yr subscription as I am going in Dec and next May. It does tell you what time to show up for certain rides and walking times and approximate wait times. My only grip is they do not support EMH's. I know some people think they are a big no-no, but like DHS with evening EMH for the Osbourne Lights would be nice to see a plan for.

If you want, PM me and I will try and give you more details.

No, no dresses, although sometimes I do call him Gwen .
