Tomorrow is my 100 day!!!!!

I'm still thinking of making a paper chain tonight. Did you guys do any kind of countdown from 100?

We always did a paper chain, starting with the 1 year mark, but this year I forgot...the other day my DGD asked if she could make a chain starting with 100 days....since that day is today, she needs to get it done...lol

For our last couple of trips I've made countdown calendars at 3 months out with little Disney clip art on each day. Then I made enough little Mickey heads on my cricut for each day, ran them through the xyron machine and each day the kids got to peel off a Mickey head and put it on our calendar. By the time we were ready to go the calendars were covered with red, black and gold Mickey heads!

Just trying to decide 100% if we want to do MVMCP .... can go on the 16th as we have adr at LTT at 5:45 ... does anyone think this will work out well?

Just wanted to post that I just put up a Pre-Trip report. I will warn anyone thinking of reading it that this is the first one I have ever written so it may not be really good. If anyone reads it and has any tips on how to improve, especially for when I write the trip report, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Well, I just noticed our plans are a bit out-of-date on the master list for Dec. '10 trips. We're now going Dec. 2-12, and staying at YC

I keep tweaking the ADRs, but right now they look like this:

No, it wasn't luggage tags .I got a big thick envelope that says "Disney Destinations" on it.

I go to open it up and start reading and TA-DA! It was our personalized maps.

Changed hotels today!! When I booked POFQ wasn't available and when I noticed it online, I hurried and made the call to Disney!! Yay beignets!

This is a Mom/Daughter trip. It has been a rough year for us. My dad passed away in May, I had unexpected surgery 10 days later and then 3 weeks after that I ended up in the hospital with sepsis and several other infections and nearly died. Mom has not been able to take a trip in several years because of my dad. So . . .

We will be spending 10 days at Caribbean Beach resort. We will celebrate mom's 71st birthday and we are doing all the Christmas things . MVMCCP, Candlelight Processional dinner, DxDP with all her favorites and a bunch of new ones.

My mom is like a little girl. She wants to eat in the castle , see all the characters and ride ToT and Mt. Everest .

It has been 8 years since her last trip to the world, so we are doing it up big time!

Hello everyone

I'm so excited to join the December thread.

For this trip I will be treating my parents and my siblings as part of my mom's 50th birthday present. My parents have never been to Disney for the christmas decor. We will be spending 3 nights in a Fort Wilderness Cabin, because my mom has always wanted to stay at the campsite, and 3 nights in a 2 bedroom villa at BVC, because I don't think I could spend anymore time sharing a bunkbed with my 21 year old brother.

We are leaving on December 30th so we can spend New Years Eve at Downtown Disney! And then we stay for 7 more days! How are the crowds on the first week of January?
We are staying at the All Star Sports.
I wanted the Movies, but oh well haha.
I've only been to Pop Century before, and I loved it. Are the All Stars very different to Pop?
After that we'll stay another week at a hotel in Orlando so we can visit WWOHP

added as well. Never been in January, so can't comment on it, but I would guess after the holiday crowds depart, it shouldn't be too bad? but not sure when that 'holiday' cutoff is (whenever kids are back in school)

$41.99 per adult.. for the first week of december?

you may want to check if you can get free dining during that time, because then it would be 'Dining Plan $0.00 per adult' ... yayyyy! . i'm not sure if there is a limited number, or if you have to stay in certain rooms, or when it starts, but we have the free dining for dec 21st thru 29th, then upgraded to the deluxe dining for less than it would have cost regularly for the basic plan.

I think the free plan kicks in the second week in DEC. I moved my vacation 1 day back (DEC 9th to DEC 10th) just to get the free plan. And the headache that followed with getting work to re-approve my vacation was worth it.

I am so jealous! You're ADRs look amazing. I did the DxDP last christmas and I loved it. This year, we only picked 2 expensive meals (hoop dee doo and CP package) and the rest of our meals will be CS or prepared in our room.

I also want to know who the narrator is during that time! We have an ADR for the 27th.

Yes, for any promotion, you do have "to stay in certain rooms." Each promotion has only a limited number of rooms at each resort (sometimes that limit is 0 if the resort is well-filled), and only certain categories of rooms. So you have to check it out carefully.

Hey everyone... we had to change our vacation so we are now going Dec 9-17 staying at POR. Working on ADR's and will post them soon. Still have the same PTR
