Woohoo! At this time in 12 days we will be almost ready to land in Minneapolis for our connection to Orlando. I took our dog to the kennel today for a practice run and I just picked him back up about an hour ago. He is not used to a doggy door as he usually just "tells" one of us when he needs to go and we open the sliding door, put him on his leash, and away he goes. They even tried pinning up the doggy door for awhile but I guess he did not leave his kennel the whole time and when one of the workers tried getting him to come out, even enticing him with one of his toys he just growled at her. We are going to be so worried about him during our trip he will probably lose at least a pound along with a ton of hair, but hopefully since he will be there longer he will eventually realize that he should make the best of the situation. We usually have him stay with my aunt since he protects her like he protects us at home and he gets along fairly well with her cat, but she recently got a puppy and Cooper did not exactly like having a different puppy around when we were camping this summer and my aunt really wouldn't be able to break up a dog fight.
So anyways...Finals start next week and I don't really have any traditional finals just some normal essay questions for 2 classes and a presentation in another so next week will be a fairly easy week. Will also have at least two chiropractor appointments next week and will probably go in the day before we leave and the day after we get back. Then a week and a half after we get back I start my student teaching seminar and then it looks like I will be heading to live with my aunt and uncle for a few months while I student teach in my mom's hometown (even though she lived on a farm) which is only about 9 miles from where I was born and about an hour and fifteen minutes from where we live now so I can come home on the weekends if I want to.
Mom and I are planning on going christmas shopping tonight which reminds me I need to go try on my capris to see if I need to get another pair, but I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing jeans most of the vacation. We live in North Dakota so we are used to very cold weather we had a high of 21 today and the forecast calls for a high of 0 the next two days so I'm sure Florida will not be any worse. So I say Bring It On!
