**Official December 2010 Thread!!** - PART 2!

I am desperately trying to stay well in a house where my youngest is getting over a cold, the 6 month old baby I watch a few days/week has a very nasty cold and cough, and my oldest DD is battling a stomach bug.
What are the odds we can get all these germs cycled through in the next 10 days without catching anything else?

I am so there with you!! DD #2 had the stomach bug last week, DD #1 had it yesterday, DS has a cold, and I am starting to feel yucky. We have been taking airborne for the last few days. Hoping it works. Driving 17 hours sick is pure torture!! I started getting sick the last days of our vacation last year and drove home sick.

36 hours until we get in the car and head to WDW where we will freeze for most of the days we are there! Hoping the weather can warm up! But if not, at least we will be at WDW!

Are we counting hours now? OK, I have about 56 hours to get everything done before we hit the road! Unfortunately, we won't see our favorite mouse until Sunday, but I'm just excited to start our vacation!

I'm really loving reading all of the updates! Thanks everyone! We only have 3 more days! I've gotten all of my Christmas shopping done.... and everything wrapped! I also bought all of the stocking stuffers for 5 adults and 2 cats! My goal was to get everything done for Christmas before we left for this trip. We get home on the 18th and my mom and dad and DH's dad will be here on the 23rd. DH thinks we would've had plenty of time after we got back to get everything done... I mean really.... do men not get it! Does he not realize how tired we're going to be after this trip; not to mention we'll have to unpack.... Ugghh.... I hate unpacking! DS is all packed; I'm working on my suitcase right now and of course... DH will be packing as the cab is pulling up to take us to the airport Sat. morning! Have a great vacation everyone! Where are you and the 2 ft of snow?! I feel your pain about not being able to run errands. My daughter has been sick, so I have her home from school and I haven't done any errands. Hoping to cram it all in tomorrow and Fri.

Northeast Ohio. The roads were horrible and I had the bright idea to take the highway to go to Dick's since the Northface store didn't have what I wanted. It took me almost 45 minutes to go 3 exits!

On a funny note, the guy in front of me at Dick's had a Disney visa. He and his family just got back this week from Disney. I love running into other Disney lovers!

In 24 hours we will be sitting on the plane getting ready for take-off. No weather concerns flying Austin to MCO! Just about to do online plane check-in now.

I heard about western PA and Ohio getting snow, but I didn't know it was that bad. At least it didn't happen on your departure day!

We always have a few days of cold weather, but nothing that lasts this long! We have been in the teens at night and high 30's during the day!
The kids at school are so excited about Christmas-can you imagine keeping 30 4 year olds in all day with no recess?!?!? Tomorrow will make day 4! So far the weather outlook next week in Florida-Wed.-Fri. highs in the 60's to around 70 with lows in the 40's to around 50. I'll take it!!!!! I just hope the temps continue to go up!

Uh, yeah, I can imagine it - but then again, we live in New England, so that's normal for us! (And I'm not even a teacher! )

Well, I just took the fourth of eight certification exams - the only one I was really worried about - and (drumroll please!)
I PASSED!
Now I can enjoy the trip without worrying about it!! Oh, yeah, and I can really start prepping for the trip!! Off to pack!

Thanks! I printed it - we will have one day without dining plan, and we always eat early, so "before noon" is perfect for us!

One more day! EEEK!!!! Haven't done my shopping or any packing. Just spent the last 5 hours helping DS finish his rock project that has to be turned in early since I changed our flight to an earlier time on Friday. BUT - it is done and it looks great!

AND - I have to do a happy dance...
DS11 has been working for months to prepare for his audition at school for saxophone. 17 kids tried out and only 5 got it... and he was one that got it!!! He even got to choose his sax. He picked alto (my favorite)!!!
