We will be at the Grand Floridian for a quick pre-holiday trip Dec. 18-21. We have the following ADRs:

Dec. 18 8:00pm Rose & Crown
Dec. 19 7:40am O'Hana Characater Breakfast
Dec. 20 8:15am Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway
Dec. 21 8:10am Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare

We love Disney at Christmastime! It will be a short trip for us this time (we'll be back in July 2010 though!).

It is Guy Fawkes night here in England so there are loads of fireworks going off.. obviously it's nothing like seeing Wishes or Illuminations though!!

What is Guy Fawkes night?

Well, on November 5th 1605 - a group of conspirators tried to overthrow the Royal family by placing gunpowder in a cellar and blowing up the houses of parliament, while King James I and the nobility were in there... a man called Guido (Guy) Fawkes was caught underneath the building and arrested. He was executed with the other conspirators the next year.

Ever since then, every 5th November we celebrate that the plan was discovered and the royal family remain (that's what I can remember from learning the history of it at school anyway!)

There are always a lot of bonfires & firework displays around the country this week, people make paper-mache 'guys' to place on top the bonfires!

It's a nice tradition & the firework displays are always popular... although for me, I'd rather be stood in a magical theme park watching a firework show, than in a muddy park in the freezing cold!

I actually got a phone call from Sun Country today - they were calling to tell me of the flight time change!! I was so impressed. I really had already known, since I had been checking on seats, but still - at least they called some time in advance!

Do you all have plans for after dinner? We are planning to tour FW after Hoop Dee Doo and then watch the Electric Water Parade and Wishes from the Beach. We did this a few years ago and we really enjoyed it.

I've been studying at college this week in Southampton & there is a Disney Store 10 minutes walk away from the college building.. perfect distance for my lunch time walks!

I'm doing a surprise birthday/Christmas trip for my 9 year old December 12-17 at Pop!!

We're going to MVMCP on the 13th and Chef Mickey's on the 15th at 8:45 pm. I'm so excited to be able to do this trip for my son.

Since it is a surprise trip, can anyone tell me what the Mickey Mail looks like? Is it really glaringly obvious that it's travel documents? If so, I need to intercept it before my son sees it. Anyone have any pics that they can share of it? All of us are in on the secret, so if I can get a picture to show my other kids, they'll be able to help me keep it from the eyes of my 9yo.

We will be there at the same time. Our trip is 12/13 - 12/19
