DH and I are going Dec 3-11!!!

I've never gone in December so I have no idea what to expect but I'm EXCITED!

We're going with a free dining pin code. Normally I NEVER eat at table service restaurants but because of this code we'll be eating at them everyday.

I'm hoping a resort discount comes out so I can get that instead.

My dh and I are going from Nov 27- Dec 7 with free dining. We are staying at Pop.

SO GLAD I chose Dec.11-Dec.17!!!!! Because my son & I both suffer from an Anxiety disorder.

OMG, we will be at ASmo at the exact same time! Can't wait. The last few times we've gone, we've stayed off property. I haven't stayed on property since 1984 when we stayed at FW at Christmastime. The last time we went was 2005. My son will be 9 this time. Sooo excited!!

Signing up! We just got back (literally, like 3 hours ago...) and I booked us a bounceback to the Grand Floridian Dec. 18-21. Just a quick weekend for the holidays, but I'm really excited. We had a blast!

That's great! Looks like we will be there at the same time! 12/26-1/2! We are staying at the Beach Club- Club Level! We are really excited! Have a magical trip!

Just booked a GG w/ 19 friends & Family for Dec 9-16th at the POP.

Unfortunatley the same time as the Pop Warner - and most likely they'll be at the same resort. I was told as long as we were planning on spending the days at the park we wouldn't be affected too much by it. I'm not really concerened about the resorts/pools etc...because we don't spend a lot of time there anyway. I'm dreading the Food Court though! I can't imagine trying to get coffee and bagel with all those kids every morning.

It's 4th trip for me, DH, 3DS (10,8,6), & Grandpa and we're going with friends that are first timers and their 5 kids! We're so excited to show them the ropes and to see the parks at this festive time of year! Got Free dining w/ pin

Hi! New member and first time Disney guest! We'll be there from Dec 4th-8th and I just can't wait! My first trip, DD (17) first trip, DS (6) first trip AND very, very, VERY close to DS and my birthday!

I'm having so much fun just planning this trip that I can only imagine how great the actual trip will be!!!!! so much to see and do I don't think we'll be able to fit it all in this trip!

Our trip was originally scheduled for Sept 19-26 for free dining. I've always dreamed of going during the Christmas season, but I didn't think it would ever be possible. Well, lo and behold, I check my email yesterday and I received a pin for free dining in December! So, i called immediately and moved our trip to December 5-12. Ready for the Christmas cheer !

I was soooo excited to get the Disney Visa free dining deal! It is saving us nearly $1000.00! (Which means I have a lot of spending money now for my Rice Krispy Mickey Heads. Yum!)

Here's a funny story: When I called Disney reservations yesterday about the promo, the CM said, "Now, if I change your reservation over to the Visa promo, you'll no longer receive the free 5X7 photo with your package."
I said, "That's fine. I can't imagine anyone telling you no thanks then, I want my free picture." The CM sighed and said "You'd be surprised."

Just booked POR for Nov 28-Dec 5! Really excited to start figuring out our park days and dining reservations.

When do we expect park hours/EMHs? I think I can book my ADRs Aug 30 - hope that's right.

Our dates have changed. We are going December 24-January 1 at Pop and then January 1-3 at the Ramada inn to go to US/IOA or Sea World.

Hi all, I feel like I'm late to the party! We are booked for Dec 15-21 at AKL. I booked back in March with a 40% off room pin - it was sent to my mom's house in my maiden name, but they still let me use it yay! This is my daughter's 4th birthday trip and both sets of grandparents are coming also. I'm so excited because now I feel like it is finally getting close!

We'll be there 12/3 - 12/15 split stay between BLT and BCV

We will be going Sunday, Dec 6 - Friday, Dec 11th, staying at the Grand Floridian. CAN'T WAIT! But don't want to rush the Fall Season, my favorite time of year.

I just booked the free dining for Pop Century Dec 11-17. Upgraded to DDP. My 15th trip plus 4 to Disneyland. I spent one night at Pop last trip(added a day late) and loved it. Not sure which night for MVMCP yet, but definitely want to. My cm said it's available 4 nights during our stay.

HOLY MOLY!!!!!!! I FINALLY got around ot updating, and let me tell you... this list is getting pretty darn long!

I figured I should update it now, because if opening Free Dining to the public really brings in the crowds like Disney is hoping, there might just be quite a few more names to add to the list.

For those of you who haven't seen it, on page 15 of this thread, you will find a list of everyone's travel dates.

Thank you for doing the 'who's going when' list! as i started this thread i felt i should compile a list soon, thank you so much! the July version was split into Disney resorts too (eg "DisneyBarbie Dec 9th-14th Boardwalk Villas") .. but not sure if that's possible?

on the July thread that I'm subscribed too, we also had an ADR list - so when we all start making dining reservations, you can see if any other DISers will be at the restaurants you will be at! Would people be interested in doing this too?

Yes ma'am! The list is organized by date but also included what resort each person is staying at. (unless that information was not posted, in which case I can always add it in after...)

And I think having an ADR list would be FANTASTIC!

A PTR is a pre-trip report. Basically, a thread to intorduce your trip and work out your plans... the link mine is in my signature, I've only just begun but it can give you an idea!

WE ARE! We will be at the Poly Nov 27 to December 6! So excited! Last year we were at POR Dec 23 to Jan 3...the Christmas Decorations are amazing!!!

We are doing MVMCP Dec 1...and I am getting a Mickey Santa Hat for my sons this year! Last year they were sold out.

Can't wait for Dec hours to come out so I can plan our ADR's...really half the fun of Disney is the planning!

I called today, because we're a grand gathering, just to check and the CM told me to call the special GG # to make ressies for 10 or more. Anything less, she said to do it online or call the regular #.

We're a party of 10 that includes a 2 year old. So are we still a party of 10 or a party of 9 when it comes to booking ADR's? And what's the special # to call if we are indeed a party of 10? Thanks!! Oh and we're staying offsite if that matters.

I think if the child needs his/her own seat, including a high chair, that you count the child. It doesn't matter if you're offsite for the reservations to be for 10, but I think you have to be onsite to be a grand gathering. I don't have the number in front of me - I'll try to post it later when I'm home.


Just FYI - I was able to get a room only discount for 12/5 at AKL. Saw an ad at the top of the boards and it redirected me to the WDW site. Got a savannah view with bunk beds for $274.50 incl tax! Just what I needed for one night prior to our stay at BLT!! If you're not doing free dining - you should call and check it out. There were a number of different discounts for different dates and value/mods too.

Grand Gatherings are for a group of 8 or more ages 3 and up and only for those on-site can participate in the extra events for Grand Gatherings. The phone number for GG is 407-934-7639

The group size and age thing I am 100% sure of because we were booking as a GG last year and didn't meet the requirement because we were a group of 8, but one was 2 so she wasn't counted. The thing about the extra events, I am not sure of, but that is what I was told.

You book dining through the regular dining phone number since you are staying offsite, but you might be able to book online, you just won't have a resort ressie number to link it to. You can't use the Grand Gathering people since you are staying offsite, they are for resort guests only.
