Our upcoming trip has been a bit of a roller coaster of emotions. Three months before our August 2007 trip, my DH lost his job. Three weeks after that 2007 trip in the mist of my trip report, I somehow managed to fall into a hole in a mall parking lot and fracture my left ankle, my right wrist, and tear some ligaments in my left arm. It has been 18 months of ups and downs, job interviews galore (still no job), physical therapy, a surgery two weeks ago to remove the bones that wouldn't heal in my wrist, and a decision to be made as to whether or not to go ahead with this vacation. Frankly we were all set to cancel everything but after a slow last few months, DH has gotten four job interviews for this week alone..so we decided since the trip was paid for already, we are going to hope that things are turning around for us and take this vacation.

Anyway I am hoping that we are turning a corner and good things are headed our way!

We are at 47 days -Did anyone receive a Disney packet yet? We've been paid in full for at least a month and haven't gotten anything. Does Disney wait until 45 days to mail stuff out?

They do - I paid in full yesterday and the CM told me that they wait until the 45 day window to send stuff out.

WOW...I didn't even think about that! We should be getting our Disney packet of fun stuff next week sometime! Now I"m even more excited!!! 47 more days, 47 more days, 47 more days...the real question here is, what will I do when this trip is over?!!

the real question here is, what will I do when this trip is over?!!

That is too funny!!! As I waited for this page to load...I had that exact thought. Every morning, my dd and I tear a link off the chain in her room, I announce how many more days we have while eat breakfast...46 days, in case you were wondering. But, it just occured to me...what am I going to do on December 15th...the day after we get home?!? I'll just have to focus on the next trip...which has been discussed for 12/26/2010 - 1/2/2011. But, that just seems so far away.
Also, my parents just bought a house in Englewood Beach, fL...approximately 3 hours from WDW. My mom is offended that we're not going to drive down for a day...they will be here in Boston...we would literally just be going to SEE it. I told her that we would probably not drive 3 hours to drive by their house. A. we won't be renting a car. and B. I said we wouldn't give up a whole day at WDW to drive that far. She said "you know...there IS more to life than Disney." Can you imagine?!?

I don't think they mail the packets until the 30 day mark. I have never gotten mine until after the 30 day mark. Mine will have to go to my AAA TA first, so I will have to wait a day or 2 after she receives it to get it, since she is several hours away from me. Hopefully, I have changed resorts for the last time, so my packet will be right.

I'm right there with you.....I'm not sure we can wait to plan another trip for 2010......even though I kinda agreed with my DH we'd do it "every other year".....but here we are 16 months later going again!!! Maybe he hasn't caught on...yet!!

I called last night to check on the packet.....I couldn't take it any longer. My CM, Shelly looked at my ressie and said that my 45 day mark was on October 14th, my vouchers were printed on the 17th and they probably were mailed out on the 20th.

I don't know why but once the packet arrives in the mail, my excitement grows 10 times more....
