Dance Off - Riker won IMO, but it was nice to see Willow dance in such a way that Mark's last two-three partners would not. Crap! The audience agreed with me. WTH are the judges thinking?

Noah v/s Robert ... I actually thought they were pretty evenly matched with an edge to Noah. The judges agreed.

Chris v/s Rumer ... Rumer's dance off was better than her regular dance! Chris wasn't bad, but Rumer was so much better.

they orig said tonight was the double, but at the beginning of tonight's show Tom said due to "scheduling" the dancers get the gift of the elimination being moved to next week

Willow should be in the final. Mark is a master....brings out the best in every celeb he is paired with. He is so very talented & creative. They were nearly flawless tonight. This elimination is so wrong.

Willow was robbed. My dream finale would have been Willow, Rumer and Riker, but I'm sure it will be Nastia, Rumer, and Noah.

Geez, the judges are being rushed so much tonight that none of them can talk anymore. If the show needs extra minutes, they should shave it off the intro videos they show before each dance.

Or get rid of the weirdness of going places to get inspiration.

Noah: *sigh* I thought it was awful. He stood around, made a Travolta move, walked a few steps, stood around, rinse and repeat. I'm with Mr. Grumpy, it was an "8" at best. The producers also seem to go between showing Noah hot and half naked and then reminding up that he's disabled. I predict he will be unclothed again next week since Amy Purdy visited this week.

Robert: I liked it, but it was missing something. I guess I was hoping it would be hotter. "Tango equivalent of Squirrel!" LOL

I totally agree about Noah. I hope he goes home next week along with Chris.

I was amazed that Willow went home. I thought she was better than Robert, Chris and Noah. I hope next week it is Robert and Chris going home.

Derek can't stand not being the center of attention. With him on stage, I think attention was taken away from his partner. People will want to see how he is doing. Why did he have to sing at the end? I thought the music careers of him and his sister died a couple of years ago.

If Derek can't perform, he should not be there. If he is, other couples should be allowed to bring in a pro. I also think it is undercutting Sasha. So Sasha can dance but not choreograph?

Robert is BAD....just plain BAD. Why he is still there is a mystery. Chris is decent, but not nearly as good as Willow. Noah is definitely inspirational, but a good dancer (those scores were a gift, pure and simple) he is not. He is good given his physical limitations, but this is not the "Special Dancing With the Stars" and it is not fair to judge him higher than people who are clearly executing better moves than him.


Willow was a FAR better dancer than any of the above three. Robbed is the right word.

This week is TV Ratings Sweeps Week. I've said it before, but I really suspect that there is a clause in the tiny, tiny, tiny fine print that says the producers can over-ride any of the voting results and make the ultimate "creative decisions" regarding the show, INCLUDING who goes home. It would be suicide NOT to retain the final decision making for the show.

Look at how everyone is talking about how Willow got robbed, where there are clearly other dancers who are physically worse than her. She's in The Hunger Games. One of THE most popular movies out now and is more famous than any other thing any of the remaining stars are known for. The fact that she got booted THIS WEEK is being talked about NOW, when the ratings sweeps are so important. And people will most likely tune in TONIGHT - the night after she got booted - to see what all the buzz is about. Those that have never watched the show, or watched it much will see, "Oh, wow. This show is still around after 10 years? Maybe it's a good show after all. I'll stick around and watch it (tonight.)" Even if they don't watch it next week or after, their viewing tonight will count towards the crucial ratings sweeps.

NEXT week is the double elimination (which got moved ) in which they will (probably) get rid of Chris & Noah, or Chris & Robert to much, much LESS discussion, debate, surprise or conversation on social media & the Internet. Next week, when the ratings aren't crucial, it will be back to business as usual.

Exactly!!! I can understand having to bring in a substitute partner at the last minute who needs to do the choreography that was ALREADY learned and trying to fit that new partner in as seamlessly as possible. But, Derek got hurt like on Tues, at the beginning of the next dance week. That was plenty of time to transition Sasha in. MUCH of the new dance choreography was based around Derek SITTING, so he could be folded into the dance. So that was NOT existing choreography. SASHA should have been the one to choreograph HIS number this week and any weeks going forward if HE is the one dancing with Nastia.

Derek needs to decide by NEXT Monday whether he is going to be Nastia's partner or not. It's not fair to the other dance teams that she gets interchangeable dance partners. I highly doubt that if Val got hurt and Maks or Tony stepped in, that in 3-4 weeks time, Val would be allowed to come back and Maks or Tony are out again. ANY other dance pro would be forced to choose whether they could come back in about a week's time frame or give up the pro spot to another permanent dancer.

I do believe that Tony did step in, years ago and take over for another pro dancer. I forget who the star was.

Derek needs to suck it up and decide. He wasn't originally going to be in the show this season. So, he shouldn't have a problem stepping down, since he wouldn't have won the mirror ball anyway, not being on the show. Sasha should be dancing with Nastia ans a poor substitute, they survive the next few weeks and Derek sweeps in the last couple weeks to win the mirror ball with her.

And IF Derek is able to get a walking/dancing cast put on his foot, what does that do for Noah? We already have ONE handicapped dancer, dancing with a missing side of his body. He's here to be an inspiration of what is possible with the human spirit and show a physical handicap is no reason to be sitting on the sidelines of life. He obviously gets the sympathy/inspiration votes, (not to mention the patriotic votes.)

Then along comes Derek, also with a "handicapped" leg now, dancing in a cast, and you just know the judges are going to be cooing over what he's capable of doing in a cast - AND giving him sympathy/fudge factor votes for choreography around HIS disability. That makes Noah, who doesn't get to go home and take off a temporary cast in 4-6 weeks look like his sacrifice for our country is friggin chopped liver. PLUS Noah will probably be going home soon, meanwhile Golden Boy Derek with his gimpy leg will make it to the finals.

ABC should just rename the show now: Dancing With The Stars WITH Derek Hough because if at all possible, they aren't doing this show without him.

I hadn't really thought that it was a big deal that Derek stuck around this week until I read your post. You're right. If Sasha is Nastia's partner then HE should be her partner 100% and that includes choreography. Her routine was classic amazing Derek Hough and it annoyed me when he butted his way in between them to get the scores.

I have to agree with Mr. Grumpy again (as I did many times this week) that I am tired of so many darn back-up dancers. They pull your focus away from the star.

Nope, I'm not a big Mark fan.

(1) I think he choreographs, stages and costumes his dances to hide the inadequacies of his stars. Derek, OTOH, choreographs, stages and costumes his dances to show the strengths of his stars.
(2) Mark's shimmy-count.
(3) His dancers tend to be overscored but even then they only make it from week to week on fan votes.
(3a) Case in point: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dancing_with_the_Stars_(U.S._season_11) Season 11. Brandy and Maks had a combined score of 57 with a perfect 30 in their tango. Bristol and Mark had a combined score of 53. Brandy went home and Bristol went to the finals.
(3b) Case in point: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dancing_with_the_Stars_(U.S._season_18) Season 18. James and Peta had a combined score of 58. Candace and Mark had a combined score of 51. James went home and Candace went to the finals.

I find it ironic that the same forces that sent him to the finals twice sent him home last night.
