Official Dancing with the Stars Season 7 Thread!

I felt sorry for Cody tonight. He's been doing so well with Julianne. He seemed so stiff with Edyta. I hope he stays and improves next week so he can finish up with Julianne. He was at a real disadvantage tonight.

I don't know what it is about Edyta that I just don't care for. Cody has calmed down A LOT since the first couple of weeks. He was just crazy annoying in the beginning, but I almost felt bad for him tonight because he seemed so out of sorts. Hopefully he does not go home yet because he was improving a lot with Julianne.

Susan and Maurice just seemed to have fizzled out. She just looks like a fish out of water during the group dances. Last week she reminded me of that person who goes out on the dance floor at a wedding to try to do the Electric Slide and does not have a clue (that would be the same look I have when I do that as well!!) She was counting and looking at her feet the whole time. Tonight just seemed way off as well.

Edyta is a great dancer, but she just seems too emotionally remote to me.

I felt bad for Cody, too. Edyta should have worked him on his arms more. He looked so awkward & uncomfortable making "windmill arms."

Susan mentioned she was in NYC fiming the soap for part of the week. I wonder why Tony didn't fly to NY to practice with her there?

I know Susan had on matching shoes in the group dance, but I think she should have had her heels cut down a little. She looked absolutely brittle on those high heels. I had a pair of shoes I loved & had a cobbler cut off about a quarter inch and put back on the rubber tap. That quarter inch made such a difference. :cool1:

Let's be honest here. First and foremost Lacey is hot.
Secondly, the show peaked last season at this point.

Who was that old broad in the group routine? I thought Cloris was gone. Ohhh... That's Susan.

What is it with the ageism on this thread week to week? How absolutely sad. :sad2:

I used to watch Susan on All My Children, 25 years ago. Susan was brittle and limited then. It has nothing to do with her age.

It's more like observationism. Susan is old. I don't see what's wrong with saying she's old. If pointed out she was a woman would that be sexism?

I hear she was originally supposed to be in that movie Unbreakable but her part went to Samuel L. Jackson instead. She was also supposed to play Jules in Pulp Fiction. I'm not sure what happened there.

Well, casting Susan in a film called Unbreakable when I just said she seemed brittle would have been ironic.

Unless she was cast as Samuel L. Jackson's character Mr Glass like I was stating. His bones were incredibly brittle much like Susan's.

Bruce Willis was the invincible character. Thanks for playing.

Sorry if I ruined this movie for you. If you haven't seen it by now you're not going to.

I thought Invincible was a movie with Mark Walberg? :confused3 Now HE could dance. :thumbsup2 He also looked good in Calvin Klein's.

Why can't Lacey have surgery for her endometriosis and be off the show too? Sorry Quest, but I don't think she's cute AT ALL. In fact, she sort of resembles a pig. That or Katy Perry.

Now back to the show........I do think Lance and Lacey are doing a great job, although I don't personally like Lacey. I didn't like her on So You Think You Can Dance. I think Brooke and Derek are the best and hopefully will win. All my votes go to Cody and Julianne (or Edyta) because Julianne is my favorite. She was missed last night, poor Cody. I think Susan should go home, even though Cody had the lowest score.

I really like Lacey, she brings excitment to the show.

I thought Lacey and Lance were the best last night.

I hope Maurice/Cheryl or Tony/Susan are in the bottom two

have been a fan of Susan's on AMC for years, but she's got to go now - sad that she was in lance/lacey's group (that earned them all a 20....)

First, I have to say what a huge relief it was NOT to have Cloris hogging camera shots, trying to be funny, etc. last night. I enjoyed her the first couple weeks, but then her shenanigans just got on my last nerve.

Brooke/Derek - amazing! I love Derek's choreography, and Brooke has such a natural talent for dancing. If they don't win this season, I'll be shocked.

Susan/Tony - time to go. Susan really dragged down her team on the team dance, though it wasn't quite as bad as how she did in the group hip-hop.

Lance/Lacey - Generally fun to watch, though I'm not a big fan of Lacey.

Cody/Edyta/Julianne - I hope he can hang on till Julianne gets back. She had really brought him a long way.

Maurice/Cheryl - Some weeks great, and some weeks not so much

Warren/Kym - Ditto

Whatever team had Susan was going to get screwed in the team dance scoring. As shown in the group dance last week, she gets very distracted by other dancers. And this week, she had very limited rehearsal time. It was so unfair to Cody and Lance, esp Lance and Lacey who got such great reviews from the judges but lousy scores. I actually think they were really unfair with those scores, esp Carrie Ann. If the team got a 6 even with Lance and Lacey 'saving' the dance, what would they have given Susan without Lance to pull her score up?

I do and was being facetious. As much as I dislike watching her, I seriously wouldn't wish that on her.
I'll take your word for it, but that is most certainly not how your comment sounded.

I am an AMC fan but agree that it is time for Susan to go. She is the weakest (in more ways one!) dancer at this time and will go this week.

How much fun can it possibly be for Tony to be dancing with Susan every week? Sure, she can have a wonderful personality that makes it bearable for him, but he may as well be dancing with a wooden beam for how stiff she is.

I liked Lance and Lacey's dance last night. I thought no shoes made it that much more convincing. Len was definitely too hard on them, but it's obvious that he has no love lost for Lacey.

Brooke and Derek's dance was beautiful and deserving of the 30 points.

That first group dance was awful with Susan in it. Again, a 2X4 would have danced better than she did. It's really not fair to be casting the fate of individual dancers to a group dance. I guess they figured that better dancers would have remained until this point. They couldn't have counted on Cloris staying so long.
