Haven't watched tonight's episode yet but I cast all my votes anyway (which feels wrong) because I *love* Alfonso and Witney. I can handle a Janel win but she isn't my first choice. Sadie is adorable but I don't follow the Duck people are her dancing skills are not up to a mirror ball trophy. Bethany and Derek annoyed me so I'm not overly sad to see them go.

Hope I get to watch finale part II live.

I think that Sadie's Duck dance was a gimmie. The dance was good the first time so how could it not be better the next time? Her freestyle, however, was completely awful. I don't believe that they gave that hot mess a perfect score!

Janel and V-V-Val made me cry on their freestyle. Seriously. They got the votes on my DH's phone. The rest of the votes went to Alfonso.

I saw Alfonso as a little kid in Tap Dance Kid on Broadway. I'm glad he showed off his tapping skills. I've been waiting for him to do that.

I hope Sadie is gone. But I think her fan base will keep her there. If that happens, I'm confident it will be Bethany.

I think the contest is between Alfonso and Janel--but Will smith told folks to vote for Alfonso which gives him the viewer vote edge.

....I DVR'd it and added an extra minute at the end...I did get to see Alphonso's dance, but only 2 judges' comments and it suddenly ended....I didn't realize that someone was getting the boot....

I thought this was the best free style round in several seasons. Previously, too many dances were taken over by gimmicks and lifts. All of these were solid dances.

On Derek and Bethany's dance, I thought she blended with the other dancers. On the surface it sounds good but she should have stood out. It reminded me of my DDs dance recitals where the parents couldn't figure out which girl was their child.

I enjoyed all the dances but voted for Alfonso.

OK, I'll grudgingly admit that Alphonso is the best dancer, BUT it has always bothered me that he has danced professionally on Broadway. Naturally, with that experience, he is going to be better than someone who never danced before!
I think Sadie started with zero experience (her school doesn't even hold dances!) and has improved exponentially, so she got all my votes!

I think you are right. At this point, it's going to come down to fan votes. She has come a long way, but she is clearly not the best dancer.

Not necessarily. As you mentioned, the brothers Chmerkovskiy are a fan favorite. Val's dance was very emotional. So he & Alfonso could split votes, leaving Duck Girl with the most votes for the win.

She didn't make it to the finals. IMO, I don't think dance experience necessarily correlates when they are adults. Although they may be more graceful and have better rhythm because of it. I think it depends on the kind of dance experience.

I never got to see Sadie's free dance. It came up after Ferguson verdict as next but never came on, on my station feed.

I loved her duck dance the first time. Should I type that in smaller print? But Bruno was right, I don't know why the others didn't see it, the timing was off. And I enjoyed the first time around more. It was like Sadie wanted to show all her new skills but they no longer fit the dance. Hard to explain.

Regardless, she's really improved but I don't get the scores. She's not on the same level in my opinion.

Such a moment seeing her father cry.

Janel and Val's dance was just gorgeous. And I think I'm falling in love with Val. Man, I thought I was Max all the way.

And Witney's and Alfonso's was unbelievable.

I am sad with Bethany a bit. She just wowed me with how she could just fit into all the genres so easily. A job well done!
