Radisson Resort at the Port is offering a rate for four adults, one night stay and parking for the length of our cruise for like $220. Plus, a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ship. Is this a good deal, or is there a catch or what?

If it’s similar to the Country Inn and Suites by the port (which has the same parent company as Radisson), the only catch is that the shuttles run only every 20-30 minutes or so, so you may need to wait.

We liked the Radisson much better when a. they had line specific shuttles or only did 1 or 2 lines per and b. the mustache dude (sorry if you know/are the mustache dude, just can't remember his name it's been so long) was running the shuttle process. The last couple times we've stayed there, the shuttle process has been a bit chaotic. The hotel itself is fine as a place to sleep the night before. Nothing special.

Stayed there once a long time ago (2009, I think) before a cruise. It's an older property, and the rooms were pretty dated then, so I hope they have been renovated since then. The pool area is great though.

It's an okay deal. I like the atmosphere of the Radisson a lot -- that resort-like feel of the place is great while you are anticipating your cruise. My only complaint is though the rooms are generally kept very clean, the floors in the rooms need more attention -- they are a bit dirty for my taste. It is a BIG resort and finding your room after check-in is sometimes an Adventure.

We usually have our own transportation, so we drive and park at the port. On one occasion did we use the Radisson's transportation and it was more than satisfactory, but I think that was 2018. They were also good at pick-up after the cruise. We didn't wait long for a shuttle to take us back to their parking lot.

The savings comes in with the resort parking while on the cruise, so that is why I went with it, for now.

The cost isn't so bad to park at the port, I wouldn't want to leave my vehicle so close by and have to deal with shuttles. I feel like our 7 day this year was around $150 parking at the port maybe, can't remember exactly. The one time we stayed nearby at Country Inn and Suites, the line up of guests waiting on their shuttle was crazy ... super long and everyone with their piles of stuff. We were all so glad we weren't in that line as we walked past to hop in our car, drove to the port, and parked there. And then were able to immediately depart for home after returning. Maybe other hotels do the shuttles better though.

I will take this into consideration. I will have two or three possible plans for the night before the cruise.
